    And, well, Daz themselves are still counting with the Gen(erations) - because you see, Genesis is V5, M5 and so on, Genesis2 goes on with V6 and Genesis3 with V7 ... so Gen(eration) is the more common use for Daz too.

     

    Yeah but that's counting with generations of Victoria/Michael, so V1 V2 V3 V4 etc. everyone understands. People talk of V3 far more often then Gen(eration) 3 whereas Genesis 3 is the newest, most discussed range right now, but is almost never referred to as Gen7 even if V7 is a common thing.

    I've looked around and confirmed that most* of the titles bearing "Generation" are written by users on forums or offering products in other** stores.  Millennium was the title given to the product line on product pages, before Genesis.  

    I've been around since a couple months before V4 was released and I first read the post that started this as Genesis 3.  It seems easier to avoid the confusion, rather than need to explain it.  (I've seen it explained at least three times in recent memory and I only cruise a handful of forum threads.)

    * - All that I can currently find.
    ** - I type prematurely sometimes.  Dimension3D's products use Generation as a name.  These are, of course, sold here but not DAZ-owned.

    If people refer to G3F or G2F that is clear, but I agree that just "Gen 3" or Gen 2" can easily be misunderstood.

    I proposed using Mil 1 - Mil 4 when Genesis first came out, but it didn't catch on.

    +1!!!  Trust me, PAs at RDNA had their promo art reviewed before release, and sometimes it needed to be reworked before it hit the stores. I think promo art can be hit-or-miss at ALL of the digital 3d marketplaces.

    This is the correct nomenclature. I don't understand why I didn't adopt it. We have The Millennium Age and The Genesis Age. More easy to write about figure conversion.

    Oddly enough I just want LittleFox's Melody for A3 (and Capsces fox/wolf for it) without having to jump through obscure hoops.  I'll deal with dealing with A3, if I can get that...
