    Thanks, devilsatdusk15.

I have installed CrossDresser a long time ago, and have not so much problems with it.

Sometimes it crashes, but when I start it again, it converts the clothes, which gave such crash.

I bought CrossDresser on sale, when all licences were included in the pack.

Evilinnocence is doing great sales from time to time ...

@devilsatdusk15 yes you can fit P4 clothing to V1 or V2. Image below is the Pink Ranger outfit (http://www.sharecg.com/v/80294/browse/11/Poser/Pink-Ranger-Suit) converted. I did end up using smoothing as well. I also apply smoothing to Victoria as well. Seems to help around the bends.

Oh wow. Weirdly enough, that is what I wanted to do :D She looks great ^^

    Your other renders look amazing.

I've added the Starter Pack to my wishlist. It's also got mimic files, so I'll get use out of those at some point too.

    @Kerya: That's quite a breath-taking render. I love the lighting.

    @Artini You're welcome :D

I'm going to try CrossDresser again. I've downloaded a couple of free figures and their CrossDresser licenses. I must admit, I didn't know that you had to buy figure licenses so you could convert clothes from a figure (although, I knew that you had to buy licenses to convert clothes to).

I have a program called Morphing Clothes that I got over at rendo. It might do the trick for you. I havent tried it with v3 but ive really liked what it can do.

Let me expirement a little bit and see what happens.

Morphing Clothes is for adding morphs from a figure to clothing that didn't include those morphs, it won't fit clothes to a different figure.

Here is Ashley for V4 on V3. But Mikes comment above makes sense as I didnt see anything specifically transfered to the outfit that indicated it was now V3 ready. The clothing just had v3 morphs available. I may have just lucked out with this outfit. Of course I did have to apply smoothing and adjust a few morphs for it to look this well. Also, I did try Morphing Clothes on a more complex set, Dictator for V4 and it didnt fit her well at all. So Cross Dresser may be your best bet.

There are/were a couple of 3DU's V2 figures in the PC up until quite recently. Maybe still there. Arizona and Teresa iirc.

Clothes converter in the DAZ store goes on sale often I picked it up for $10 one sale, it is great for converting older clothes to V4 and M4 in particular, I have had some flakiness going the other way.

You only need to buy the "convert clothes to" licenses. The from files are coming with the free software.

The only problem you may run into: there are licenses for the outdated CrossDresser3 in the store too - be careful to buy those that have a big XD4 on the thumbnail.

@devilsatdusk15  your welcome and thank you.

So I just picked up an outfit for V2 called Arizona here at DAZ. These products are in the Platinum Club and are currently $1.79 apiece. So if you are in the club I would look through the shop for Victoria 1 and 2 items. To do this go to the What's new page. Under Figure start to type victoria. You will get a list of the various victorias. Click the box Vicitoria 2 & 1.. If you click the Show only PC+ then you will see just the PC items that are 1.79.

@AnotherUserName: I love Ashley's outfit. She looks great with the use of HDRI.

@Kerya: Thanks for explaining. I have seen a few licenses with the CrossDresser 3 logo, but I don't think I've got the models that they're for (although I'm not sure).

@DollyGirl: I had a look a couple of days ago at Arizona, she was $3.99 in the sale.

I'd love to join Platinum Club, but I could never save enough money to get membership for it (I can always find something that I want in the store).

I bought V3 today. I was a bit unsure of which version to get, as the lo-res included in the "3D Starter pack" had mimic files included. So, I bought V3 base figure.

I think I shall be rendering some older free figures, before I get around to using V3 though.

If you pick up V3, you might want to look into CDI's Rayne, which is a great set of morphs, especially for creating stylized characters. It goes on sale fairly often.

Here's V3/Rayne with a few of the V3 Head Morphs and Int'l Beauty Morphs:

Niiiice! May I ask which texture you used?

Thanks! It's Katie Sue. My older DS surface settings weren't quite right for newer lights in DS so I have to rework that, but it's one of my favorite skins for V3 and A3.

Sorry for the lack of posting. I've been very busy using Cookie and doing Blender-related stuff (not that I know how to use it).

Before I get any characters for V3, I need to get her body and head morphs.

I am still hunting for content for older models (as well as stuff for Cookie). So, PoserDazfreebies has been very useful ^^

I started an art thread for Vicky 1-3 and Michael 1-3 and their children here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/108001/the-older-generation-victoria-2-3-michael-2-3-and-their-children-renders

  • Hi Guys,

I have Victoria 1 (from Mimic Lite) and CDI's Roxanne.  I can load Roxanne, but I cannot apply any of the facial or body morphs.  At best, I can get Roxanne's eyes to bug out.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

    Thanks!

Victoria 1 does not have any morphs; Victoria 2 is essentially Victoria 1 with morphs. So, you will need Victoria 2 to use CDI Roxanne; and, sadly, Victoria 2 is no longer available.

Victoria 1 had some morphs, but not as many as Victoria 2.

    Hi Charlie,

    Thanks for your reply.

According to the readme file that comes with the Roxanne download:

You must have DAZ3D's Victoria 1 or 2 installed on your computer for Roxanne to function properly.

Shouldn't Victoria 1 be enough?  Has anyone else been able to get Roxanne to work with V1?

    Thanks!

Roxanne will work with Victoria 1. I have both V1 and V2 installed. I pulled out Victoria 2 from my runtime and things worked. So I went digging into what Mimic Lite had in it. The geometry for V1 is called blMilWomLoNG.obj. Roxanne is looking for blMilWom.obj. So there is one of your problems. Wrong name reference for the object. A note, file size between the base Victoria 1 and the Victoria 1 in Mimic Lite are different. I then went into the Roxanne cr2 and changed the obj reference to see what happens. There was some change in the face when an expression was selected but not all of changes to the face were made. When I applied the body poses there was no change. Conclusion the Victoria 1 in Mimic Lite is not the same Victoria 1 from the base 'Millinium Woman' Victoria 1. That is disappointing. I am sorry that you will not be able to use Roxanne.sad

blMilWomLoNG.obj would be a low resolution version - prsumably NG means no nipples, since the figure doesn't have any genitals as such. Both Victoria 1 and Victoria 2 use the same blMilWom.obj since Victoria 2 is essentially a morph expansion for Victoria 1.

Thank you very much for taking the time to look into the problem.  That was very kind of you!
