In my area of the country the price of everything has increased, and some very drastically. People are taking a massive hit in their disposable income, including PA's, so unfortunately prices have increasted a bit.

Considering that not all PAs live in the same area, why are there global price increases here in DAZland?

Because prices are going up everywhere, and because DAZland area's prices are going up too and they have servers and staff to maintain.

  • I had my own Christmas in September yesterday, or else Get Ready for Christmas with 3 tokens, GT, & yesterday's code. I got https://www.daz3d.com/holy-family-bundle for under $7 (additional discount for already owning Mary, who was recently in OS). I also picked up the other Magi, https://www.daz3d.com/three-kings-king-caspar-ds & https://www.daz3d.com/three-kings--king-balthasar-for-genesis-8-males plus https://www.daz3d.com/my-camel-camelia-hd, each for less than the $2.99 floor price. I don't think I have sheep, but surely one of my horses has a donkey morph. I think a sheepdog to help the shepherds would be a nice touch...

Daz doesn't set the prices on non-DO assets, the PAs do. Ask them.

...here on the left coast the QG and OS changeover happens at 16:00, while in Alaska at 15:00 and Hawai'i 14:00 (the Islands don't observe daylight time).  This also goes for memberships and D+ coupons.

yesterday I put the dead tree bundle inthe cart along with the specicl and the bundle at 45 plus 30 dropped to 11 something
but since nothing else popped I chose to pass
but jefferson special so in the card added dead bundle wich is 40 plus 30 and it only drops to 12 something trying to figure how a 5% stacked discount loss on can change the price by a buck
    --
which of course is why there's never any clear listing of this plus this equasl this item at x .
the computer has to run the calculation would be nice to see it and understand it.
off to see if there's anything to pump the total of stuff up to something I ahve to have

There isn't enough information heer to figure out what you were seeing, but remember that discounts stack by multiplying - so 40% means you pay 60% (multiply by 0.6) and 30% off means you pay 70% (multiply by 0.7), so the total is 0.6*0.7 = 0.42, you pay 42% which is 58% off.

Had my (annual) PA splurge.  22 items - all from my WL and in the Featured Artists Store - for less than $3.35 each (a range of 84 - 92% off).

    • Orange banner 30%
    • Golden Ticket 30%
    • 8 Tokens 35% (at least, I think 35% as no DO items were included)
    • As it's DT-Monday, I got a ridiculous 28 tokens back! surprise

    A decent haul smiley

I really like this sale. It's relaxed and exciting at the same time. I'm not buying much, but every day, there's a chance for something nice for $2.99, and then you can just build a good cart with discounts right away vs. waiting for the next day when the selection might change.

Well shouldn't have jinxed myself.  The Golden Ticket  is another G9 item again that I have no use for, and of course today there are some of he pricier items on my wishlist I'd really like to get,

I've figured out the promotion rules. Whenever there's a special promotion, like today's Sci-Fi category

"Use code: SCI-TEMBER Get an extra 40% off up to 5, if they are wishlisted, with a Debut New,"

it means today's Sci-Fi special promotion not only has a high threshold, but everything is at full price. So today, DO is offering discounts on everything except Sci-Fi, haha.

However, I'm already very happy to have two fantastic gold ticket bundles so far.

For once the sales have started working in favour of my wallet. There's been absolutely nothing I need or want on a whim for nearly a whole week. Long may it continue, I'll need a mortgage at this rate, ten years after paying off my last one.

I think the Glenda bundle makes more sense than https://www.daz3d.com/the-vi-space-bundle . I liked The VI character well enough as a start point but the headgear and outfit were not to my taste. I passed.

Here, I like Glenda well enough, though I'll have to do something about the powder blue skin. But there's a XI environment set, a hair item, an outfit with a really nice pair of boots, and the manicure set which all at least offer some fun possibilities for use. Naturally, I got it. And doing that means I can get a nice newer item or an older bundle(!) with my D+ coupon. So, cheers to all that!

With this sale, owning a couple items out of a pro bundle gives a very generous extra discount.

I often take advantage of these types of deals, if I want all/most of a bundle's contents but don't have the inclination &/or budget for paying full (or low discount) price. The owned discount is usually better than many promo discounts. also works if you got the item via Quick Grab or a freebie deal.

Daz changing the Owned Item/s Bundle Discount to an automatic, everyday process (rather than a rare deal) is one of the company's best decisions in recent years. It's right up there with creating OS & QG.

Every now and then, a Golden Ticket for the day is a bundle instead of a single product. Just like today.

What you say about Vi bundle is why I passed on it too.
With Glenda, I'm on the fence. To me, the character is extremely unappealing (makes me think of an alien version of the plastic doll-like character Linday uses for their products), the nails are of no use (I like that Forbidden Whispers does quirky stuff, but sometimes it's just too much for me to use on anything), and the outfit is barely so-so. I didn't notice the boots, so thank you for pointing them out: they are indeed nice. I could probably use the top too. Hair is in the "okay" category. Nothing special, but I could probably use it somewhere, and the environment... Xivon has interesting settings, but judging by the sets I have, their textures are notoriously horrible at closeups, so I'd never pay full price for them. But at 2.99, and being part of the bundle where I might use the hair and boots from, it might make sense to get. Still on the fence, though.

That aside, it's extremely generous of PAs and Daz to offer bundles in Golden Tickets, even if they might not be to my liking.
