Not just abandoned Subway stations but I always wondered what is the ongoing fascination with bathrooms?  There are some I've seen that appear to have more square footage than my studio flat.

By far the worst are Japanese schoolgirl dresses and uniforms, followed by sci-fi hallways (usually offered as D+ freebies), short "pixie bob" hairstyles.  and various skimpy/sexy/revealing outfits (the volume of the latter which seems to have ballooned as of late).

Derelict warehouses also seem to have become a thing as well  lately..

If I could filter all that out, shopping would be a breeze.

Bathrooms are for bathers and whatever, has been my observation. Schoolgirl dresses... Ever read any manga? Seen any anime? They're definitely a thing! Sci fi hallways - Haha!. Used to get actual DO items, once upon a time - just sayin'. Skimpy, revealing outfits sell because audience loves to see characters wear them. I have a lot of them, read into that what you will. surprise Derelict warehouses? IDK. They're a thing, too! Broken stuff is sometimes interesting, actually. YMMV.

Filters would prevent you from seeing it all! Can't have that! cheeky

..seen both Manga animation and comics and pretty much one style appears to fit all.  Yeah there are different colours and markings but a clothing set often comes with different textures either included or as an add on..

Bad enough it takes a lot of time these days to slog through all the G9 stuff I'm not interested in during sales, Weeding out the other things I have no interest in would make shopping here much less of a chore.

my brothers uncle-in-law, if you will, was a contractor. He gave us a tour of his, at the time, 1,25Million dollar house.  That was in the 1980s. The master bedroom had a bath as bigg as my house. A walk up steam bath, jacuzzi bath, monster triple sink, on and on. It was a suite onto itself.  I though it was a bit pretentious. His 10 foot portrait that greeted you when you went though the front door gave that feeling away, as well as the fancy set up dining table that never got used...all sorts of fancy linen, silver wear, goblets with gold rims. etc. The kitchen marble was imported from Italy. Yeah. The wood for the cabinets and all was imported as well.

It's not just bathrooms, but a lot of them are badly designed bathrooms... not just in terms of things lke large areas of wet tile with no safety rails andr stand-alone tubs and toilets with no plumbing to connect it to anything, but things that make the product less usable to a customer, like showers with hose attachments that are unmovable props rather than something that can actually be bent and posed or no rigged water sprays from the shower head.  And then, of course, there's my biggest pet peeve, which is toilets where the lid can't be opened or that are just a lid with no seat, as is the subject of this long running and still active thread I started half a decade ago - https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/370366/and-yet-another-toilet-without-a-seat#latest

I like sales like that. You can go in, check the store: exactly same offer as yesterday, nothing new. Not interesting new releases. 10 minutes and you're done shopping for the day. No need to check back, no need to do cart jenga...

My nightly exclaimation, "Well, that was easy!"

Check new products daily, add those you're interested in to your wishlist, and then make things much easier by checking off items from your wishlist during promotions.

Then, during promotions, all you need to do is waste time calculating the best deal combination...

With the membership the codes do not work on anything. I have tried several items. And tried both codes for Daz only items and also the codes for $6 of $18 and nothing.

So what do these codes work on?

I tried yesterday and today. No luck.

Yes, you would think one schoolgirl outfit would be enough - It's more than enough for me. Not a fan! I'm in the G9 pool because I like enough of it to be in. I see a lot day-to-day that doesn't interest me, but some of it does. I'm not looking forward to G10, either. It's one mountain too many for me. Plus, what would it bring to the table that isn't already on the table? I can't really imagine. Yet, you know it's coming. Don't know when, but it's coming. Meanwhile, I'm still content to shop the back catalog.

Yes, you would think one schoolgirl outfit would be enough -

Actually, in Japan every individual school has it's own distinct uniform designs which serves a useful as well as aesthtic purpose in allowing groups of students traveling together to keep together through the congested streets and subway systems, so having a variety of uniforms for mixed crowd scenes, as well as for mix and matching individual components to create unique combinations, is highly desirable.  Too bad there's only a handful of artists who make male uniforms to compliment the girls, and I do have to question is whether anyone really needs as many of the overly sexualized school uniform variants that manage to proliferate in the 3D world.  But hey, whatever floats people's boat, I guess.

I guess if you are into Japanese schoolgirls, one is never enough

just hope the fetish is for the clothes though, not the girls themselves

Depends upon the glass .  I stayed in a super swanky beach-floor room in a hotel in Princeville on Kauai once, and our bath/shower had a huge glass window that looked directly out on the beach.  The trick was that it was a smart window with electrochromic glass that could turn opaque at the push of a button when you wanted privacy  It was pretty sweet, actually, being able to sit and soak in our own personal jacuzzi while looking out across the Hanalei bay.

Given that most school uniforms are on people under the age of 18, or are trying to invoke that aesthetic/age group as sexually desirable even if they are on legal adults... personally I'd say zero many of that sort need to exist.

Depends.  First, while that's true for mirrors designed for surveilance, most mirrored windows made specifically for use on buildings are enginered with a reflection/transmission ratio that allows one to see out under all conditions, by day or at night. And second, anyone who manscapes or womanscapes in front of something that's set in a window frame is probably doing so intentionally. devil

I got an item that I wanted for a long time. Now that I have it, it's sort of disappointing in some ways and really great in others... I don't really want to return it, but it's not going to do what I want out of the box. If my fixes don't work, I'll have to return it. frown

I think I found the answer! Good news for me! laugh But still a few other issues to sort... frown

Saw a program on PBS some years back about one of the super-skinny luxury towers in New York. They placed the bath tubs against massive windows.

...I was remember being on the observation floor of the old Hancock Centre in Chicago ,which has larger "footprint" at ground level than at the top. and  could notice the sway on a windy day. Tall buildings are built to sway in order to dissipate energy which can cause structural damage,  Wondering if there is any perceptible movement of water in a tub on the upper floors of those pencil thin towers when there is a brisk wind.

I also wonder how extreme it is on the upper floors of the Burj Khalifa.

firstly you wouldn't get me up one

I watched Towering Inferno long before 9/11

if you did, I would be shaking more than the tub

It really annoys the hell out of me that I can go into my wishlist, check out the prices, go "ooo, nice!", put things in my cart, apply the coupon THAT I HAVE PAID FOR DAMMIT (02_26SAVE6), have it come up Coupon Not Valid, go "What the actual @#$%!", empty cart, and go to bed furious. How to win friends and influence people, not.

...I saw that as well when it came out. and yes, it was a bit disconcerting at the time. That feeling returned after the Grenfell Tower fire over 8 years ago and again after the recent apartment tower fire in Seoul last November.   Fortunately the building I am in is only five stories high and the ladder truck at our local fire department can reach my window  It is also only 5 flights of stairs if I need to get out on my own.

Just wish all the false alarms we've been having lately cease.

this doesn't give me much incentive to renew my membership  Sorry, this isn't about what you wrote, but DAZ. Instead of making things difficult they should go back some years and give us great deals. I think some of the store coupons need to stop. It makes it impossible to use the membership coupons often. Things should stack. I mean in reality you only get some of the deals once or twice anyway. Stop the crazy minimum. When you look at the products, the prices surely haven't come down any, even the older stuff has risen with the rest. Its like buying potato chips, the bag stays the same but its half air, and the price doubled.

I checked out a pretty good cart yesterday, particularly considering I don't have a membership at the moment. The price floors were removed from the sale and I was getting 94% off wishlisted items with 5 tokens, so I threw in a gift card too. Then PayPal marked it for manual review before cancelling it. No reason given, but looking through the names of the products in my cart, I'm going to assume it was the item titled "High School Bathroom". My cart was unfortunately emptied by checking out - even though it was never marked as complete - and I couldn't face tracking down the 25 items again to rebuild it.

Oh well - there's always another sale.

Now that's bizzarre! Here's hoping that there's another (better, saner) explanation, because that's a world I don't want to live in.
