mermaid - thank you. My renders are usually around an hour or two, seldom longer. The above one only 8-1/2 minutes.

    Wow!

    Awesome renders all around!

Love the cars, Mermaid! And the mirror study is amazing, really thought there were 4 objects there! Your secret is safe with me!! Im also very impressed with the atmospheric work on your last one? What noise is that on the terrain? Looks like a

Horo those BTO trees look amazing! Also love that cubic abstract twisty thing! This more recent crystaline orb is also gorgeous

ElectroElvis, As always, great experiment with the grass!

Krikerd, literally took me a moment to see those faces, and it was so cool. Very very cool image!

Hansmar, Those colors come together very nicely between the terrain, the water, and the sky!

Bunyip, So there's been some Blending going on with you, I see. I used to hate Blender, but now I'm getting used to it and I think it definetly is a wonderful program especially for modeling. Great work!

Nullcasting: I LOVE the look of this scene! Fantastic composition in my view, and the shading.

Nothing "legit" to post at the moment. Currently stalled on a WIP for the Do Better thread. Hope to post again soon.

    Keep it up peeps!

Horo, great snowy mountains. The grand mountains and the abstract also look very good. But my favourite is the sunset with the vegetation.

Mermaid010, love your toon sci-fi render.

    Thanks, Horo, mermaid010, Rashad.

Another view of the Dystopia city, this time without robot or space ships, but with one of the EWG lenses from lenses and filters in front of the camera. Also another sky and viewpoint compared to the previous one.

I used a cloud from David’s Advanced Layered Skies, the mountain and material from Grand Mountains, both I modified.

mermaid - beautiful mountain scene under this pink sky with the low sun and dark clouds.

The terrain was self made and given a material from Islands 2 including Skydomes. The aircraft is the Pausanias Cruiser. Sky and ambient light by the DS-Sky04 HDRI from Deep Space HDRI 2, the stars from the Space Construction Kit and the clouds are from Object Clouds 2D & 3D. The key light by the sun.

Pixelpie, mermaid010, Horo, Bunyip02, Teobaldo, Hansmar, Rashad: Thanks a lot for your comments

Here are two versions of the same image. One was rendered in regular mode, the other with TA and a bit of DOF. Both use a dome light as the main light source. The figure is a Genesis 1 model from Daz3D. It might be a bit outdated, but so what it works very well in Bryce.

Thanks Horo, your space scene is also beautiful.

Electro-Elvis - nice experiment, I prefer the regular render, as there is more contrast. Was there much difference in the render times?

mermaid010: Thank you. Yes the difference was huge. Regular a round 3 minutes, TA around 3 1/2 hours :-D . When I have characters I normally prefer renders with TA, because IMHO the skin looks better, but here it is not the case. Maybe because of the Dome Light

Horo - A pond and vegetation on a flat mound is gorgeous ! Pausanias Cruiser render is top notch !

Hansmar - Dystopia city fisheye render is fantastic !

mermaid - Mountains scene is wonderful, love the clouds !

Electro-Elvis - Older Guy is fabulous, prefer the first one !

All - Freebies Rendo uploads nearly done.

Electro-Elvis - Nice genesis 1 gentleman. Though it is rather difficult to decide, I agree with mermaid and like the regular one a tiny bit better and obviously rendered hugely faster.

    mermaid - thank you.

    Bunyip02 - thank you.

    Electro-Elvis - 3minutes that's awesome.

    Bunyip02 - thanks

The city consists of 20 Dystopia City Blocks assembled in 5 x 4 blocks and placed within a partly reflecting and above transparent cube. Above it the down looking camera with the GWL (Gigantic Wide-angle Lens) from Lenses and Filters. Clouds and ambient light by an HDRI from HDRI Captured Volumetric Skies 1. Additional clouds from Object Clouds 2D & 3D and some light from the sun in the zenith. A city in the clouds as seen from above.

Horo, I love your skies and terrains, gorgeous as always. Love the Grand Mountains, I need to dig into using those and get the Space construction kit, love the otherworldly starfield skies; also the lenses and filters, I need to learn more about these-i like the city blocks effects you made with these

Mermaid010.. your skies are fantastic; I especially like the mountain scene with the birds, and the way the hazy misty appearance over the landscape; cute scene with Bunyip's models! I like the pinkish sunset sky render, so peaceful-

Teobaldo... I like the use of color in your render, greens and purple, very interesting scifi other-worldly effects.

Hansmar, thought provoking scene of being at the mercy of nature... trapped in a guard tower, if only he had remembered his machete :-); the dystopian city is interesting through the fisheye style lenses

Electro-elvis, I like the details from the regular render, but yes, the other one shows other details lit up better... I wonder if they could be combined in photoshop in a way to get the best of both worlds?

Bunyip02 Thanks for the items! Love your stuff and the house is adorable. Great work! I would love to spend some time learning blender.. I have been using Zbrush Core but they are discontinuing that.. so now would be a great time to move into free stuff. You inspired me to play around with some more models.. I am working on a scene for your toon house at the moment.

And, I agree, let's all keep the Brycemania going! It seems no matter how simple or complex, I learn something new each time I play with Bryce, it's so much more fun than playing video games.. although i found that "Tiny Glade" scratches the landscaping itch much like Flowscape did.

this is a simple render, but here is a cave-like house I made in Adobe Modeler and Zbrush and the docks were freebies. I enjoy trying different lighting and texturing options, its amazing how it can change the mood and feel of a render.

PixelPie - thank you. Both of your islands with the cave house, the trees and the dock are very well done scenes. I miss a bit of contrast and would expect the shadows to be a bit darker but if you like it the way they look you are correct - the artist decides, not the viewer.

  • mermaid010mermaid010 Posts: 6,036

PixelPie - thanks. Both the cave-like house renders are lovely. It's nice to make models in other software and render in Bryce.

Horo - A city in the clouds as seen from above is exquisite !

PixelPie - Thanks - am enjoying making models in Blender and giving back to the community ! Wonderful renders, evening is my favourite !

The terrain was self made and given a material from High Resolution Terrains 2. Sky and ambient light by an HDRI from Gritstone Hills and the key light by the sun. Rendered with HDRI Quality 128 and True Ambience. Rock spires in chaotic orientations.
