Sometime back, Steam used to let users decide via voting as to which item(s) go on to the next Flash Sale. Would have been nice to see Daz implement something like that for the DMB?
Included PC+ items still work with the Mad Marchness discounts (except for the current Blink Sale stores), whether you're in or out of PC+. Indeed, I purchased Hellenic earlier with discount intact.
I mentioned last night that some PC+ prices were wrong. They're OK now. Maybe it's just occasional temporary glitches that only affect some individuals. Databases can be temperamental.
Ah, I hadn't realised that in general (I knew some new items counted as mad). The early newsletter may have caused some issues last night.
Well, with me it didn't work out at all. I only wanted one item plus the adventure outfit, so I bit my lip and purchased them. You also needed 4 items to get the highest discount on a GC so I said 'not now'. So that was it......until the other new items showed up and I actually wanted several of them. However, I discovered it late and by the time I put all the items in the cart (and hunted through some of the artist stores, etc) and filled out for a GC which also went in the cart, the time had rolled over and the GC was full price. Too late for the free item since I already purchased and I dumped the GC out of the cart.
.
Since I pretty clearly stated my annoyance about the handling of the "4-Item Sales" two days ago in this thread, I wanted to give you an update on the outcome.
As written above I contacted support. It took around a day until there was an answer but they decided to count all my qualifing purchases even thought most were made a day earlier,
The free Outfit was added to my product library and I was promised an appropriate credit on a gift card purchase.
Even though I would prefer if the sales were set up better from the beginning to avoid such annoyance,s I just have to state that the DAZ Customer Service rocks and DAZ is a very customer oriented company!
Thank You!
Daz customer service has always been amazing for me. It's the website and some of the sales choices that are a bit ...interesting.
I wouldn't have spent NEARLY as much without good customer service.
I mean, one of my first purchases turned out to be entirely unnecessary (I think it was LIE, which at one point was a separate purchase and I didn't realize). If they had treated me like a lot of companies do, I'd have been EXTREMELY reluctant to take any other chances, ever again.
Is it me or does the email strongly imply that the Izabella starter bundle and/or standalone character count as Daily Mind Blower?
"included in" is probably the key way out there.
Still, for the price I'm not arguing:
Hmm, did I miss something? I can't get the pro bundle that low even though I should have the Girl 7 Pro bundle discount, and the PC+ one and a second MM item...
The Adventure Outfit is shown as being in the "Still Mad" category, but the price doesn't reflect that status.
$32.26 for Izabella 7 Pro Bundle seems very cheap.
BTW, Stonemason's store items are in the MM pricing today...
I just got on and saw the banner which says the MM booster and the Artist booster combine (which I thought meant stack) on what I assume to be the Mortem Vetus stuff because of the picture, but nothing I put in my cart stacks. So, what is this on and do they actually stack?
It should have been 38 but I used a PC+ coupon. I don't have Girl 7 Pro discount either.
I just tried it again, Izabella Pro = $50, add Caro (a new release MM) and Izabella drops to 38, PC+ coupon to 32. I'd have thought she'd be cheaper still with the Girl discount.
My calculator did the math: (((134.95 - 30%) - 50%) -10%) = $42.51
That's 30% for a DAZ Original, 50% with two + MM items in cart, and 10% for DMB. The additional 10% for owning The Girl Pro brings it down to $38.26....
ETA: Just Izabella Pro is $51.01. I added UHT Hair Shaders, ($10.17 at 40% off,) to my cart and the total came down to $50.14. It's like buying Izabella at 63% off and getting UHT Hair Shaders for free!
Lowest I could get her was $54 and change, so I suspected a PC+ discount in there somewhere. Too bad I don't have the spare madness money until one of my refund checks come in, or I would have snagged her, because even at that price she's a deal.
I wish there was something other than dark, moody, bloody, or Poser offerings for the Related Mad. Not much incentive to buy two things to get a discount when all I get to choose from is MortemVetus, who has been featured several days. (Is this day three?) Nothing against the vendor, just not into open sores, wounds, creepy.
Well, MortemVetus has some sweet and cute too:

http://www.daz3d.com/alesia

Personally, I like this one: http://www.daz3d.com/tinman
Edited to add architecture: http://www.daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=scenescapes and http://www.daz3d.com/the-village-1-houses
And there are pirate clothes: http://www.daz3d.com/black-flag-bundle
Quite MV also does alot of products that can be used in a variety of situations, http://www.daz3d.com/the-forestals just love these I use them with the Genesis Figures, same with his Frost Lords set and several others. As for being Poser centric they are one of the few venders I buy off who do not support DS.
I can see why you like tinman! I didn't see the "browse more" at the bottom of the section. I would still personally like more of a variety in vendors in that section. The cute stuff you listed is generation 4 (but very happy to have that generation represented!) but we have so many vendors, and so many generations, I'd like a generation and vendor variety for that section. (Also vendors who haven't had the scrolling banner spotlight three days. To share the wealth.)
Well - that section of MM was invented first with Lady Littlefox's Star.
I think that section is only for relocating RDNA thingies ... and only those were the vendors are ok with the very low sale prices ...
The Star page changed every day with new items though; so far as I can see this one has remained static for 3 days now? Unless it's been changing and I just haven't noticed.
Overall todays offering is not so impressive. I probably won't buy.
The Manhatten Loft is very nice (i really like how the Promos are done) but there are allready a lot of similar things.
If there would have been a Bundel with the 4 Products maybe for 60$ "full" price (before discounts) I probably would've bought it and the hair (that is nice but no must have) on top
Same for the Clothes and the Shoes all nice but nothing that is a must buy if you don't have a very specific use for one of them.
The Pose Sets are also "passes" for me. Sweet and Sassy is nice but I allready have a lot of similar poses in the library. The Idea behind my Darkest Day is great but from the promos teh poses looked to much "acted".
There have been additions - just the MM advertising page didn't change, or didn't change much ... it's a bit mad ... ;o)
Just a quick heads up: Except for Lily-Fae, Tinman, Scenescapes, and village_1_Houses, the ones you mention only have Poser shown as compatible software.
So, those of us who are only DAZ Studio users need to pay attention to what software each MV product works in.
I can not see why a lot of those mentioned as Poser only would not work pretty well in DS, particularly the props, and certainly the characters. I think the props come with certain light set ups that would be poser only, but I suspect the props themselves and the textures would look work just fine. If you are rendering in iRay, any lights, even for 3DL, need to redone anyway, so that is only a small downside.
The one product that will not work in DS at all is facial-a-hairness (as mentioned in another thread) since this uses Poser dynamic hair.
What is the full discount supposed to be when you buy both a newly mad and an artist mad? Because I don't seem to be showing the dicounted prices I think I should see on the Mortem Vetus stuff. Just wanting to make sure what the math should be. Mine is usually wrong which is why I ask.
Yes, I'm not at all sure they won't work in DAZ Studio.
In particular I'm interested in these items that only show Poser as compatible software:
https://www.daz3d.com/santa-suit
http://www.daz3d.com/black-flag-bundle
Does anybody have them and know for sure whether or not they will work in DAZ Studio?
I don't have those but I see no reason they wouldn't work with minor surface setting fixes. They're normal conforming clothing and props with pz2 (pose) type materials. You'll need to fix the bump and spec strength, plug any spec maps back in, might have to hunt down and plug in other maps, sometimes displacement maps don't load.. the standard stuff.
Black Flag is in my cart so I can't say yet, but I bought Raggedy Man, Herne and Ragnarok the other day and they work perfectly in DS. Even the auto convert to G3M came out great! Hope that helps a bit. :)
Less 50%, less 30%, less 30% should be a total discount of 75.5%
