Makes sense to me.
Yep. He and Jack are our rock stars. :D
...I thought he just had a constant IV drip of espresso.
...very true.
..so MM is coming up, will we possibly see Urban Sprawl 3?
I always love Stonemasons stuff so well done and look so very awesome and one last thing is that he provides both a 3Delight and Iray Preset in all of his products..
and now DAZ finally fixed the FBX export in 4.9 I can get his sets relatively easily into Carrara without the obj import UV wrap issues, otherwise via Poser not too bad after using D3D DSON loader
so this is gonna be a future buy too.
not for March..but it is getting closer, working on the Iray version now :) ..for March I think I have some natural environments
Mud Tracks of Arrowtown 1865?
heh,I was down there just last year..Arrowtown could make for a cool set, and it's almost autumn too which is the best time to visit(for reference gathering purposes of course ;) )

Someday I'd like to see Stonemason do a high fantasy city set. Probably unlikely, but it'd be awesome to see where he took it.
Rotorua hot springs for all my sexy tribal tatooed hunks to give me mud massages in on my next virtual holiday?
oops did I say that out loud?
...that's cool. Can't wait.
Currently loving After The War. Perfect for my story.
Just got After the War, also perfect for my story. :)
When you are a Daz user...sleep is an option.
Well, I can imagine Stonemason using Sketchup for the main basic mesh, then refining with 3DS or Zbrush for the terrain and fibermesh for the greens, but is a theory.
..sadly, I know all too well.
Urban Sprawl 3 is at the top of my wishlist at the moment. I don't suppose you have any teasers you could drop? I've been eagerly awaiting that set since you announced you were working on it. Given the detail in your recent sets, it's no surprise it's going to take a while to polish off.
The overpass looks very much like a scene out of the Last of Us (excellent game, btw), so it seems like just the thing for some zombie-themed renders.
Looks like a very cool place! I visited a place similar to this over Thanksgiving in Texas, took lots of pictures, but unfortunately, it will be a looooooooooong before I have any mad Stonemason-like skills so I really hope you decide to do something like this. That would be awesome!
I have always wanted to retire in Rotorua...I can handle the smell. :)
OK, thanks - but I'll let you ride up top.
Wow, thanks for the links Stefan, especially the last one, had no idea they were used that regularly there. I tend to see them way more on TV than in real life here in the US and usually the odd one at a construction site or at the docks.
Sounds like an excellent idea to me. How about one of the elf cities from The Lord of the Rings crossed with the Streets of Old London?
Cheers,
Alex.
More comming..... !!!!!!!!
Wow....... I love your "stuff".................... so please, could you give us just a few hints of what you are working on, and what is comming our way................?
I could lie in bed at night then and grin to myself, thinking about all the goodies I can do with those dream items.
Oh, and another really important question..... are you really one person, and a really big group of very skilled and brilliant people working together?

"Someday I'd like to see Stonemason do a high fantasy city set."
Yep, I've said before that I would pay Turbosquid prices for a Stonemason medieval fantasy town. I know sci-fi and modern-day are more his thing though, which is why I'm thankful for Merlin and Faveral as well. :)
I picked this set up immediately. Also, here's a fun link to a startup that's trying to take container homes to a brand new level: http://kasita.com/kasita/

Looking forward to the sequels:
Over the Underpass..
By the Bypass..
I wad thinking some of the cities from Exalted like Chiaroscuro or Rathess, but that's just because I was never a LOTR fan.
But I like the idea of cities built with magical technolgies where designers might be accomodating visitors that fly, residences for Dragon Kings...
Tai Tastigon might be an interesting challenge.
Well, Cloud Temple is fairly fantasy-ish.
I've used it in a bunch of fantasy renders. ;)
It is a nice set, I was thinking more a nice Streets of thing, like Urban Future 4's street level. (Chinatown looks like it could be good for Nexus if some of the more modern trappings were removed or altered.)
