New Mac user

in New Users
So I'm actually an old windows user but when my computer died in 2021 I stopped using the program until this week when I found out Daz had finally made a native MacOS I could run on my M2.
It seems to function fairly well but the nice organization of assets isn't there - imagine oddly organized folders instead of the nice pictures and good organization you have in the windows version. Is anyone else suffering this or could it be related to the message I get when I try to log into from Daz3D and I get an error saying there's a database or firewall issue?

Yes, PostgreSQL is the database used for the non-file views (everything outside the Content Library pane, and the categories and products sections of the Content Library) - it is not a Mac vs Windows thing. Did you install PostgreSQL?
I followed what was in the installer so I guess I need to do a search for that, is there a setting that might be inhibiting this as well?
Security swettings, both in the system and any add-on security software. It is a long thread but I think the topic has been covred in https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/16599/the-mac-faq#latest - start at the end and work backwards as there have been changes over the years that probably render older answers invalid.
Thanks, I did another search and found that uninstalling and reinstalling it fixed it.
