I figured he'd be close to the girls release, the additional 25% off for owning the girl 7 pro bundle has an expiry date of end Feb!
I'm inclined to agree here (had to Google palooka first though!!!)
Ah, I didn't buy the Girl 7 Pro Bundle so I didn't see an expiration date.
3D Universe's Jason and Hiro Toon should be the male toon figure standard to improve upon. A remake for Genesis 3 and maybe an older morph based on that would be great to see one day.
My first reation to his face was 'omg what'

See Killian and Jax. Concentrate in Killian and Jax. Even see the goldtassel's hair promo. I like his figure and face a lot, but some promos practically make his profile "invisible" and his expression "empty". Lighting and base skin were very much better for all the promos for Girl 7.
Oh yeah, I meant to add: Silver's two characters look fantastic as usual.
I've always had a soft spot for palookas.
Yeah I can't quite place what it is about him, but he just doesn't have the toon look I keep waiting for. Could be that his lips, neck, and brows are all really thick? Combining his face shape with other morphs could give nice results though. I hope we get a Callie 7 because a little of her and a little Girl work very well together on Genesis 2.
First we got Caveman 6, now Palooka 7...maybe next time will be just right.
His lips are quite massive, but I don't think the promos are fully doing him justice. In some of the other products he looks quite good. In the main ones he seems to have a very flat, lifeless stare as was mentioned above, but I don't think it's necessarily the model's fault.
J. Cade has shown renders of Girl 7 with the lips and eyelids dialed down. I bet that is dilable for the guy as well.
(And i sweart one of those pose sets had me humming Gaston's theme song...)
Hopefully I can dial a more Eugene look rather than Gaston! Will hopefully find out later if they get the girl 7 additional discount sorted out which is currently not being applied!
I think that he is the first toon that has ever tempted me. He reminds me a bit of Flynn.
I'm waiting for someone to render him with the Armani hair and silky green shorts, and a black tank top.. I can hear the Punch Out theme already.
So, I'm a bit confused by Guy 7's cost. I don't think the discounts are working. I own Girl 7 Pro, but Guy 7 Pro is still coming up as 66.13 with no additional discount in the basket. Also, Macho Man Expressions comes in at 10.47 with no other discount and Suave for G3M comes in at 15.37 with no discount. These prices just seem more expensive than they should be, but it's 6am and I haven't had coffee yet. What are other people seeing?

But this guy is cute; I like him. Silver's characters look fine, too.
I think the unshaven look is dorky and unconvincing on the face shape they chose to go with, and they would have been better advised to lead with the cleanshaven promos. It's a fairly attractive character design aside from that.
The main quibble I had with Guy 4 (an attractive toon I never quite got around to buying) is that he looked too innocent relative to the vampy Girl 4, and that's kind of my snap judgment on Guy 7 as well.
If you asked me to imagine a male character who both looked good with Girl 7 as a character and was equally stylized, I would probably aim for something that looked kind of like Disney's Tarzan (only less animalistic) from the neck down and a cleanshaven version of Disney's Phoebus (with more of a Dick Tracy nose) from the neck up.
He makes me want to buy Girl 7! I'm surprised how much I like what I see.
He's a toony guy that goes great with The Girl 7. I think he's a cutie, Jax is the cutest of them all. BTW I hear the other The Girls are jealous. There's quite a bit of stank eyes being thrown around in my content library
So... I don't generally buy toons. I've often considered it an area that I ought to try my hand, because it might be fun.
I figure I'll give Guy 7 a chance. Then I see who made most of the clothes in the Pro Bundle and I say to myself: I wonder if its more expensive to buy just the things I want.
Turns out, it is more expensive to pick and choose from the bundle and buy only the things I want.
Significantly so.
I can spend more money to not support an artist, or I can essentialy get everything I want, save twenty bucks and get all that artist's work for free. I choose to look at it that way, even if its not reality. They are all Daz Originals, so the artist has already made their money. But I want Daz to know that I considered it: not buying the Pro Bundle because 3 out of the 4 clothing items were made by an artist that I do not support.
Very Mediterranean. Put him in a suit with gun in hand and he'd be ideal for a stylised Mafia cartoon.

I like him. I really like him a whole lot. He could probably stand to have a little bit more of a rectangularish jaw (like Tarzan), but man. I'm not really into the Toons, but Guy 7 and Girl 7 are something else.
I didn't get The Girl 7 ( I have every other rendition and never used them) and can't see getting The Guy 7 but if anyone has any renders of Jax without the guy would love to see them. It says he uses G3 male base UV maps but wondering how much influence the guy has on him.
THIS piece of cartoony touch is exactly what the male gene pool was needing! 150% better than that goblin Cory.
Although I won't be getting him atm, he's on my wishlist and I'll be keeping an eye on him.
I do feel like he is from a completely different cartoon than Girl 7 though, but that's what the morphs are for : )

I don't render toons, but I like his hair and content, and will be interested to see if his skins are useful for more realistic characters. I like the variety of clothing in his bundle too. It has a little bit of everything.
I don't usually like the toon versions, but I think he's adorable! Especially in the Killan pic, as well as the Tooned Expressions. Reminds me of Prince Erik from "The Little Mermaid". Jax looks amazing! Love the new G3M outfits being released with him. Adding lots of stuff to my wishlist today! Too broke to add it to the cart! Sigh.
Here is a quickie :) I believe both characters use teh Guy 7 morph at 50% so it is a big influence on the morph like most characters i do for the Daz figures but alot of times they still look ok without the base imo :)
