    Now that's more like it..

Where are you seeing this, Wendy? I have an art deco set by Forbidden Whispers as my doorbuster. Would love to have the tram as well!

Edit: found it, it's not the doorbuster though, as far as I can see. Thanks anyway for bringing this up, I would have missed it.

The Lisbon tram was the doorbuster yesterday, and Streets of Lisbon the day before.

I'm betting they'll have at least one more catch-up where all the doorbusters are back as doorbusters. Probably at a higher price, but...

Slightly OT, but it often comes up how this site is getting more sexxxy-time stuff... I was just at the Hub of Rendering scanning for freebies, and... holy buckets (or another word that starts with a letter seventeen down the alphabet from buckets). I really do not remember that quantity of graphic content on my previous visits. Is that because ShareCG closed down, and people are migrating? Or does it just go in waves like that?

Oh, the Hub of rendering has always been like that... I think you never had reason to look.  I realize that I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where my dad was a police officer... it is hard for me to imagine growing up without seeing the occasional naked person, sex worker, or adult business somewhere.  A friend of mine grew up on a farm and he was amused by city families who didn't understand the birds and bees by the time they were five.

  • Well, I HAD several items in my cart I was going to use my tokens & $10 DO coupon on. But then Daz dropped the discounts drastically, or removed them entirely, depending on the item. So, cart dumped. Thanks a lot, Daz.

Thanks for explaining Leanna, @daveso as well, I must have been more tired yesterday than I thought, I completely missed it. Just bought it now!

That's the weird thing... I've been scanning there for freebies for over a year now. And there's always been some, I just don't remember it being /that much/, but maybe my skim skills were better on previous visits. Ah well. I'll turn on the adult filter next time, and everybody can have the kind of fun that suits them.

    Same.

  • I've been accumulating wishlist items but haven't bought much in recent days. Although there have been new things I like, there's just not been the critical mass of "lots-of-stuff-i-want"/"can't-say-no prices" to prompt me into action.

It's OK. There's Always Another Sale (tm). And I have lots of patience.

I haven't even been adding much to my wishlist lately. There isn't much in the new releases that would get me excited. I think the change of the approach from "do I want it?" to "do I really need it?" caused by the last few months did affect my willingness to spend. On top of that, it's been almost a week since my membership expired, and for a sale that is focused on Daz+/Premium, I've yet find a reason to resubscribe.

But if there was to be a changeover of the outlet store... Depends on the set of new items, but I'm quite sure it would make me resubscribe real quick.

  • I've added to my wishlist, but the additions fall into 2 categories:

    1) Outlet items I am on the fence about & may grab if they're still in the selection come payday.

    2) Items I may get next catch up day. If Daz doesn't mess up. discounts again.

  • There's actually been a decently large number of things I want in recent times - my wishlist is back almost to 60, after being briefly empty. All but five of those things are still New and have yet to turn up in sales. The right wishlist sale could motivate me. Or, I'll just hang around until they age into "Recent" class.

...I have patience as well, however my Annual Daz+ membership doesn't as it expires in about  3 weeks.  After that I move from "Plus" to "Steerage Class" (Basic).  No frills like monthly coupons and extra discounts, while tokens become pointless as I'd never earn enough to make a difference before they expire.

99 USD a year (or 10 USD a month).is just a bit steep on my income for the same benefits I received all these years .(often for less  than the original full price of 70 USD).

I rejoined Premier and built up tokens. 8 tokens plus the $10 coupon, buying the D+FAD got Ava 9 HD Character Bundle | Daz 3D in my cart for $6.xx but then I realized that some of the DO products were discount so threw a couple in my cart and right now the Ava 9 Charcter Bundle is sitting at $9.38. Its a free bundle for Premier members but figured I would see what I could get her for, and might as well purchase and then get another free bundle, which would then be around $5 per bundle.

As much as the new membership pricing structure really ticked me off, and still does, I have to say that Premier really does get you some pretty decent discounts.

I had been eyeing off those radishes that were the DAZ+ freebie

thought yay can join for a month and save $4

    nup

new freebies I didn't want so didn't join

Daz Shop is down for me:

    "Error: Server Error
"The server encountered an error and could not complete your request.
"Please try again in 30 seconds."

Is this happening to anyone else?

There are widespread issues on the web and net, I believe.

Thanks. Just to clear my mind cuz I reset my modem and didn't solve the problem.

...no interest in Premiere as I'm not much into character bundles (particularly G9 ones) and it's almost twice as expensive per month than "+". Again if they offered  environment or resource bundles that might be worth it but everything so far has been characters. Also not thrilled by the "subscription feel" for various tools and content.

The 10$ coupon sounds save for the fact you need a minimum 25 USD purchase to use it.   Even the double tokens aren't much of an incentive as using 8 tokens now only grants a 30% instead of 40% discount on PA content.

I'll wait to see what this weekend brings but not holding my breath..

Straight $10 off on DO products.

...Apologies, I should been more clear. I was referring to the PA coupon. That has the 25$ minimum.

Considering that DO products are about the smallest group in my wishlist and/or library, that isn't a real deal for me either, as most of that stuff is either G9 figures/clothing or done by PAs that don't hit my taste with their products wink

Browsing through the land vehicles in offer today - there is no average family car. Most vehicles are military or very prestgious models or sportscars. Nothing you could populate realistic city scenes with. There aren't many average people's car for DAZ. Or am I wrong?

Not so many here, but TruForm at Renderosity has a few at reasonable prices when on sale.

that is a real weakness to the product line, not just here but the other stores as well. I just purchased a lo rez set by powerage over at rendo that isn;t too bad, but otherwise the pickings are pretty slim.

I've never had more than 1 or 2 DO products in my wishlist. Most of the stuff is too vanilla for me, although I've been picking up more since being a Premier member. The discounts can be 90% plus off pretty regularly. The back catalog though is overall stuff I've already passed on hundreds of times.

The Everyday Car is free on Truform's own website (an account is needed, but it's free to create one):

    https://inlitestudio.com/3d/product/Everyday-Car/

The biggest downside: it's using 3Delight, so Iray conversion is needed.

Possibly more limited in use, yomiuri is sharing two old kei cars on Renderosity:

https://www.daz3d.com/bituka3d-gas-station-props Has a couple that would be fine for background

https://www.daz3d.com/upper-class-car Might look more average from a distance, or with different shaders applied

    https://www.daz3d.com/casual-family-sedan Average sedan

https://www.daz3d.com/1973-station-wagon if you're looking for an older average family car

... I also have picked up a few freebies at RenderHub, a couple of them recently
