Also, adding a new DFAD the next day won't fix the problem if the other items rotate out of the relevant categories - for example, if a wanted new release moves from Debut New to Still New and thus gets a lesser discount. Or the Door Buster changes from something wanted to something unwanted. :|
Another one disapointed here. I thought this was going to be the missing excuse to finally get at least one month Premier but is a certain no for now.
The bad:
-DAZ+ for a day of only one item? They seem to be mixing the 'door buster' / 'key item' used to be. Also more expensive than they used to be. I mean, i know old PC+ For a day at 1.99 is not coming back, but make them $3 for premier at least.
-Actual 'Door buster' hardly discounted unless you get the SINGLE DPFAD
-'Legacy' is getting very old stuff. I remember not that long ago (i mean, just months) early G8 getting 80% base discount.
-Extra New or Artist Store discount also tied to purchasing a single no choice product.
The surprise:
-Having a minimun price after discount. I respect it as i imagine several PA righfuly asked for it. Sometimes not so old product get unintended stacking discounts that end up working against their expected revenue before a product paid its production cost. Still, should not be the same for each group, legacy or older should had been set to $1 like outlet and DO maybe even don't have a minumun.
Better yet, if the is a minimun expected price, then forget % discounts and use fixed values at different conditions like the Outlet store.
How to fix this luckluster promo(imo):
Make a new promo this month: OUTLET FOR A DAY!!!!!
Do that with a decent selection of products and i imagine several people like me, waiting for the opportunity to make premier would do so and start spending their credit.
That would do it! There is plenty of back catalog to choose from. I'm not sure how it works for the participating PAs, though.
...the other sad part is it is a single new release instead of a selection from the back catalogue as in past Daz+ sales. So not only has membership become more expensive (with no additional perks) but the incentive to remain a member has been reduced even more.
The average price for a Daz+ item today is 6.49$ while based on inflation over the years since I started here (2007 when they were 1.99$) the price should be 3.15$
Pity, it was a good run while it lasted.
Like somebody else already wrote here, the longer sales usually take some time to pick up momentum, but this one is off to a seriously bad start. Right now, even the deals on new DAZ+ releases (turned into those rather useless 'doorbusters' for the event) are worse than what we normally get. I can't quite see what the idea behind this sale is, if there is any other than having successfully gotten rid of everything that made the club sales fun: BYOB, PFAD selections, anniversary bundles, good deals for members ...
Actually, I think AI created this sale, because I refuse to believe that any English speaking human being would create 'doorbusters' that don't bust anything, doors or no ... So I guess I'll let AI do the buying then as well
Well, we've seen that in Daz-land, marketing uses words for whatever they want them to mean, not necessarily with any relation to the meaning of the word. So I think in this context, "Doorbuster" is simply "item we want to highlight and claim it's a great deal, whether it is or not."
For pity's sake, today's Doorbuster is a /hallway/.
Pleased about the free radishes this week, though. Those could see some use. And I had a good giggle about the "Sweeny Shaving Foam"
Radishes are useful, shaving kit is an awesome props collection for a freebie, and I personally love the brutalist hallway! Dropping Premier for now until the sale picks up. (Expires tonight)

Sweeny Shaving Foam-a reference to Sweeney Todd? Or Sydney Sweeney? The former has more context but the movie/play is not new at all, while the latter is a rising star. Maybe Sydney Sweeney should be in a new Sweeney Todd movie. That would tie everything together.
We need a proper catch-up this weekend that features the FULL discount returning for each item. And a better sale structure for next week.
I assumed Sweeny Todd... no need for something to be new for the referential humor to be solid.

It's quite frustrating when the token system incentivises building up a cart and doing a big purchase every few days (given each token can only be used once) but sales keep coming along that tick down the discount on items and deliberately make it worse to delay...
... particularly when, in a case like this, there's basically no choice of "trigger items", leaving many with the choice either to pass on the best discounts in the hope that maybe tomorrow's D+faD item will be more appealling (absolutely not guaranteed with a choice of one per day) or purchase things they don't need.
And the problem then is that if I know that something was a better price yesterday than today, then unless something has since changed my mind that I now have to have it right now, then it probably either gets forgotten or goes into wishlist purgatory. And I suspect at least some other buyers are similar.
Maybe it'll be less of a problem when we get further into the sale, and we'll have the reality of being able to benefit from any of the D+faD items over the last few days or potentially waiting for a better one in the next few, but because we were offered a non-choice on the first day, the chance of having an eligible item you like is limited.
Yeah it's more likely about Sweeney Todd. And as far as Miss Sydney goes, she isn't a bad actress, but there's two big reasons why she's popular these days.

i was hoping to renew my Premier today but not seeing anything the tweaks me bippy. The DFAB things don;t stack. They're not exciting. The new stuff or still new stuff is boring overall. I usually renew on a Monday or Tuesday to take advantage of double tokens. I haven't checked WL items to see if anything is dicounted enough, but @ 50% it's no incentive. I have nothing in there that can;t wait for a while or a real longer while.
The thing that's really strage to me, there is nothing really aimed at the actual DAZ+ releases, like increased discounting, etc etc. Thing is, DAZ has been going in this direction for awhile. Less sales incentives and higher prices. And now way too many strappy outifits and lingerie. The bundles becoming smaller and smaller, basically 3 or 4 items for $100???? I know I am a DAZ product addict, but its getting harder and harder to accept.
Then, of course, there;s always another sale, and every once and again there is a deal that's very hard to ignore, but its happening less and less. I might bite yet today on renewing, we shall see. I really want to, but DAZ is holding me back,
I'm showing price for monthly Premier is $13.82, which works out to $166/yr. Annual premier is still $194.
It's just for the first month, because you have an active Daz+ subscription.

The poses require both, because Succubus requires main Tara (which is normal at the store: if something's an addon, it'll have the main product listed even if you can use parts of the addon on its own), but you probably need just wings to it to work.
Agreed on the armor, though. It was a "what the heck?!" moment for me.

This new "DAZFAD" will not make me get a one month Premier usership unless something vital changes. As it is, there would be no value for me going Premier.
I think that asterisk will say it is for the first month, discounting for the unelapsed portion of your current membership.
The poses will apply without the wings, though they may look unbalanced.
Yes, just wanted to confirm that you only need the wings from Tara's Succubus Add-On for it to work. The product also works on its own (well, you do need NDFP Vega, which is the base character), but we just added textures for Tara's Wings as an extra thing to tie into our theme.
I actually almost got excited on this for a second... until I looked and it was atill $18.99. For $14 I would have jumped.
Thanks for the info. The description does not say you need the Vega base character to use the poses and none of the associated products point to NDFP Vega product page. A link in the description would be helpful. Ironically, https://www.daz3d.com/tara-9-hd-succubus-add-on still has a link to the now-defunct Tara 9 Succubus Pro Bundle. I guess no one anticipated the removal of G9 pro bundles.
My pleasure. Yes, I can see the confusion there so I reached out to Ensary and mentioned this. Ultimately, it will be his choice whether he wants to issue a correction. Technically speaking, his product would work with any character so only the wings are required for that to work (though they would be parented in their new position without any sockets, since does come with NDFP Vega Demon for Genesis 9).

me too. I bought 2 five product packs wehen it first opened. I guess if they want to give my 3 bucks I'll take advantage of it but I haven't seen any new item added to the selections.
