A vaugue concept of history and past attitudes to public nudity and attitudes towards public indecency would have helped too. Neither of which seem to have been in the outermost fringes of awareness of the PA. Ho hum.
Regards,
Richard
Maybe some confusion between Jane Eyre ,and the Jane in the Tarzan stories.
Yes, let's go with this, because any other explanation is as ridiculous as the name and the product itself.
I assume it's a spelling error and was supposed to be Jane Air.
I read the description in search for an answer, and...
This strapless jumpsuit is the perfect fusion of contemporary fashion and classic aesthetics, meticulously designed for women who value individuality and comfort.
Not sure, but that outfit might get you arrested for indecency in some areas of our world today, including the USA. Unless you are in a strip joint.
What's more inappropriate: the name Jane Eyre, or the copy referring to it as a "jumpsuit"?
I wouldn't know where to look.
Hahaha!
Ho hum indeed!
Perhaps a suit for getting jumped?
I don't quite understand English... but is that a jumpsuit ?
literally what you wear parachuting but generally any loose fullbody romper usually with a waist belt
"a garment incorporating trousers and a sleeved top in one piece, worn as a fashion item, protective garment, or uniform."
Origianally for parachutists so as not to get hooked up with the aeroplane they were jumping from or any trees they accidentally landed in.
Regards,
Richard
that outfit would definitely not catch one on any trees
To bring a little appreciation to the appreciation thread after all that "WTH?", today's offerings are really nice, especially the characters. RawArt's Gawb-Lynn for G9 is adorable, and I love how the young and older versions are provided. Chrryt's Nylie HD for G9 is stunning, and I like how she slightly strays from this PA's usual figure style—just enough to make her all the more unique. Love the purple skin on Lyoness's Twilight Fae Tinuviel for G9 (though the natural skin feels a bit too orange-ish to me). On top of that there's Sylas shape by Nathy Design, excellent ridged horns by FenixPhoenix and Esid (if you read it "rigged," you aren't alone), and other stuff that I found interesting.
Alas, none of them meets the "do I need it right now" requirement, so onto the wishlist they go. But they are all stunning works nonetheless!
Ah, but they are rigged! And that makes them super useful to me! Definitely picking those up at some point. There's a lot to like in today's releases. Nice job PAs!
Thank you joanna, I went back and looked at the offerings again. Many I wishlisted but Lyoness's Twilight Fae Tinuviel for G9 is in my cart as well as Neikidian's https://www.daz3d.com/magician-pose-fusion-for-genesis-9. I like the poses as I can see many other uses beyond magical casting. And after a thread looking for smeared makeup, I am picking up three of Neikidian's products that might be useful, along with another pose set I have had wishlisted. And of course I have my DAZ+ items there as well.

Yes, Nylie is really quite interesting! I'm starting to develop a bit of a passion for Chrryt's characters, they sure are different. But man, is she expensive! Will put her on hold in the wishlist for now, just like you did. But hoping for a good sale soon!
Genuine question: is this product name & label supposed to go with some other product that isn't out yet, but accidentally was put on this one? Because literally nothing about any of the words applied to this product actually apply to this product.
I mean, I thought the electric lamps in the Medieval sets were out there, but this has it beat by a mile.
I can't think of any type of product that would put Jane Eyre and jumpsuit in the same paragraph. I've been to the Bronte parsonage in Howarth. It's a very gothic setting. A Dark grey stone house overlooking the cemetary where most of the Bronte's are buried. There is a gate in the parsonage garden which gives direct access to the cemetary, so it's sort of 'in your face' the whole time. The monuments in the cemetary are packed very close together too, so it's not a place I would describe as picturesque by any standards. When I was there there were a few twisted trees in the cemetary, but no areas of grass that I can recall. Life expectancy was short in Howarth too, so that would add an air of sadness to the whole place.
Howarth at least had/has a railway station a short walk down the hill from the Parsonage, so it was possible to catch a train to Keighley, and on from there, to aywhere you could afford a ticket for.
Agreed on the jumpsuit thing (my first bachelor's was in English) but historical accuracy isn't the strong suit of many PAs (or the general public), so I guess I was hoping that the intended product was... I dunno. Far-fetched but less far-fetched than this? A Jane Eyre jumpsuit would be absurd, but there's a lingerie set there with plush teddy bear heads for the bra cups, so...
As Cole Porter famously wrote "Anything goes" , which is kind of a coincidence, the Jane in the Tarzan stories ( who I suggested might be the inspiration for the outfit ) was called Jane Porter. And of course the Pythons had their own version of 'Anything Goes' as below
Anything goes in
Anything goes out
Fish, bananas, old pyjamas
Mutton, beef and trout
Which was also written by someone called Cole Porter
I love the purple skin so much too!! As far as the orangish tone of the glamour skin... Can't we assume that the twilight fae has been watching too much TV and thinks that a spray-on tan is natural looking?
OR, in truth,
I really loved the warmer skin tone against the purple. I'm really careful about not making orange skin tones (I don't like that, either).
Overall, I wanted there to be a lovely contrast between the two skins. The tones are highly complementary, and I was hoping that people would enjoy my attention to details.
I made a quilt of scraps of orange and purple fabric. I had just moved and was sorting my fabric collection out and the colors were just put next to each other randomly. Over a few days I saw a quilt, found a pattern and stopped my moving in process to create the quilt. Then was asked to donate it to a hospital to raise money for mental health care. As far as the orange skin, as I looked over the characters after installing, I didn't think Vivi was that orange. But then I have two Gingers now. And I now understand why I was attracted to this set of characters... it was the quilt. I love that color combination, regardless of color theory. I also appreciate how you colored the thumbnails. For someone who has aging eyes, I salute you Lyoness.
Maybe it already did. Maybe it was once a full jumpsuit.
I think you did a splendid job on both. Just because I'm not fond of orange, doesn't mean it's bad. :) Especially if someone was to create Halloween-themed renders. Thank you for creating such a great character!
Now Tesla3dCorp is joining in too. If it becomes a trend to produce wild stylistic inconsistencies in ‘historical’ environments, then Tesla3d obviously wants to be part of it too. After all, the product will then be the subject of heated debate, which can boost sales figures. An ‘Aztec Temple Ruin’ with a long-bearded ancient Roman statue and a mix of Asian and Roman elements is not a bad start, is it? https://www.daz3d.com/aztec-temple-ruin
Cybertenko's "Medieval Guns" is interesting. We can expect historically accurate work from this PA. I am not familiar with late medieval firearms, and I would not have expected “real” handguns at that time, but it is possible. https://www.daz3d.com/medieval-guns
