Pose Library/Assets

I haven't really been able to find a tutorial online that I understand, so I'm asking here. I do all my Blender work in version 3.0 because I like the Pose Library. It's so easy: create a Pose, select all the corresponding bones, and then save it out with the plus button on the side. But with newer versions, the Pose Library was replaced/removed with/to Assets, and I'm not understanding where or how to use it. My different models are saved in individual folders, with a "Base" form (just the body, eyelashes, and eyebrows), with subfolders for any modified versions (clothing, hairstyles, jewelry, etc). So when I create a new project/scene, I link the models instead of appending. Can someone point me to a decent guide somewhere, because there's a lot of great tools available that I wanna use, but they're for version 3.6 and up. Am I able to create this mysterious "Pose Asset/Asset Library" on a linked model, like how you can do a Library Override, or does it have to be in the original file? This is all infuriating to me. I like to think I'm intelligent, but I just can't seem to figure this out.
