Hmmm... interesting. I'll have more to say later on.  I like his physique and his face. Just a quick reinterpretation of his base materials.

The renders that were posted in the forums were one of the deciding factors to pick up Olympia 7, she didn't look as good in the promos, I don't think I've had issues with the characters rendering orange and I don't change any setting, Leo does look interesting, I'm gonna get him while he's cheaper.

So how do you apply the punches? It says I have two, but I don't see them being applied if I try to check out with the pro bundle and a few things in my cart.

Maybe they add them automatically without telling you? I see that the price is $61 dollars at check out as opposed to $66.

I love AprilYSH's 'Leandros' man bun!

his arm looks quite strange there?

  • I got the pro bundle.  Leo's physique is good and from the looks of the render posted by evilded777, there appears to have been some attention to the arm/shoulder/pectoral area that caused concern with the G3M/M7 release.  The face is also good. It's not "handsomely perfect" which is a positive selling point in my opinion as the real world population is not composed of perfect people.

The bundle itself, while perhaps not the largest offering we have seen, is still solid.  Both of the hair products can be used in just about any setting and while I may not use the Spartan outfit more than once or twice, the real world/contemporary items will definitely see a lot of use as will the sci-fi outfit.  Also,  the two character options look great and as soon as I saw them, I could visualize where they would fit in perfectly for two projects I am working on.  I think it's a solid offering and I would like to thank all of the content creators that invested their time and effort into creating the items and textures for this bundle.

Another thing I would mention is the fact there is some solidly useful male content here.  I am very happy to see this and happy to show my appreciation by coaxing my credit card out of the corner it's been hiding in (due to both holiday shopping & DAZ sales) and wringing further whimpers out of the poor thing.

How so? Its a bit extreme of a pose, but not hugely.  The muscle definition is a touch exaggerated, and it does look like he has Olympia 7's over done elbow wrinkles which look fine when the arm is extended straight, but not so much when the elbow is bent.

I am not impressed by Leo as well since he really looks like M7 with several morph sliders adjusted but I do not think he is a complete disaster. I hope to see more unique looking male models in the future though.

Leo 7 is not that distinct from M7, at all. Whether it is the body shape or the facial features.

In G2M line, all the males were pretty unique and you could not really compare 2 of them and say that they look kinda similar but here, if I did not own M7 and was wanting to buy a male model and looked at M7 and Leo, I would probably be like, well it does not really matter which one I pick, they look almost the same.

  • Both Leo and Olympia 7 look to be in their late thirties, it's nice to see some mature looking faces.

Indeed. Seems clear that the actor (Gerald Butler, Scottish, not Greek) that played King Leonidas in the 300 was the inspiration for this character. He was portrayed as a more gritty man in his thirties, rather than some classical pretty boy adonis. If I remember correctly, the character in the film was swift and deadly, but not particularly muscular.

I love the look of Leo's face, it's nice to see a slightly older looking character. And I like his lean body shape. I also really like the look of Brayden's skintone, he looks almost mixed-race to me and I LOVE his eyebrows! His chin's a bit to pointy for me, but that's an easy fix. I'm so glad that today is a 90% guys stuff day. laugh Now I just need some money!! I want to BUY ALL THE THINGS!!!! laugh

OH! I almost forgot Lucius!! That facial and body scarring is brilliant!! I need to buy all the things!! I NEED THEM.

He's kind of interesting, but doesn't really interest me, He doesn't seem different enough from M7 to be a new figure.

Really disappointed in the the Casual Winter Outfit. The way it clings in some places and is baggy in others makes no sense.

I'm really surprised that Jepe hasn't done a skin set for these new releases.  Best the male figure in 3D (in our little corner of that world) has looked.

As for a mate for Bethany, it would be cool to see if DAZ could commision the right person to create a handsome big boy shape.

Still would LOVE to see a David released during this G3 cycle.

    PS, bought the pro bundle...

Nothing special about Leo and he looks far from heroic- useful to have some extra GM3 morphs to dial in though. Impressed with the texture and face of FWSA Brayden - which only shows how unrealistic Leo looks escially in face.

I like him, he's cute and I like that he's getting some 21th century clothes and a scifi outfit as well. And about his Greekness, well I can see some likeness to this character:

LOL, I've done that SO many times, particularly when I'm going back and forth to get the URLs to put the image in the posts. Sometimes I'll put one of the pics in the draft instead of the original message. Wish they'd eliminate the drafts, with only the OPTION if you want it or not.

Leo is okay, not catch-your-breath type unusual, but a tad bit different. For the five punch people, getting all that for around $37.79 is a good deal.

I'm very pleased with how Leo is turning out.  We've needed the leanness to add to the Genesis 3 Male gene pool.  Perfect Christmas gift from DAZ, Thank you!

Looks like something that happens in the modeler when a requested action for some insane reason flows through to the other side instead of staying on the one side one is working on.

One could make a couple of little fixer morphs to adjust the cloth. I don't have it so no can do right now.

Could someone please confirm that the "Genesis 3 Male Anatomical Elements" is the same item in both Leo 7 Pro Bundle as the twig and berries in Michael 7 Pro Bundle. Therefore having one means you don't need the other to satisfy that requirement.

The skins for Michael 7 will work with the Leo 7 "Genesis 3 Male Anatomical Elements" and vice versa (it is the same item)?

The figure is the same for all males that include it.

I very much like the base. But then, I *always* like the base. Have the five punches and Olympia, so snagging the Pro bundle for the deep discount was a no-brainer.

And I'm not sorry. I like both the hairs and one of the characters. I doubt that I'll ever actually use the Spartan warrior getup, and the space suit is iffy too -- although it's a very nice space suit. The contemporary stuff looks pretty good, and even though I've got similar items for earlier gernerations, I'm just as glad not to have to resort to autofit.

Don't know how well the face will take to morphing, but I find the face attractive on its own so not sorry to have it. And tall and wirey is a shape that we've not had in a base figure all that often.

Agree that the promos really ought to give the buyer a bit more help. This isn't as bad as the female figures with their makeup masks so you can't guage what they actually look like At All. If they can't manage at least one shot with neutral lighting, maybe at least a clay render so we can see the shape?

Not sure I know what you mean... maybe the chest? But who wears boat shoes in the winter? I mean... we went without boat shoes in our wardrobes forever, now... I think I have five pairs of them counting Genesis, Genesis 2 and Genesis 3 wardrobes (ok, that's less than I have in real life...but, the real life ones I can't change with a few material options). These do look nice... I haven't really checked them out yet (at least they have full laces... who tucks in the laces on their boat shoes?). A pair of casual boots would have been more appropriate for a "winter casual" outfit. But, thanks for another cool pair of boat shoes, anyway. They are essential part of any man's closet.

The top is clinging to his muscles like its glued on higher up, then suddenly it's baggy lower down and then perfectly fit at the waist (and the right arm is doing weird things.)

I'm also still convinced Brayden's left nipple went wandering from the promo shot but no one else commented on it so maybe I'm imagining things.

Ok, maybe I see that... I thought front and back seemed a little off around the abdomen.  I have seen men's tops that flare..maybe there are some morphs to relax some of it

And you are right... there's something... odd... about Brayden's left nipple in both shots that it appears.

  • Leo is rather hairy on the Anatomical Elements. He benefits from third party Anatomical Elements hair to cover the hair that is flat to the skin surface.

Also, i like him better with SickleYield's beautiful skin applied as shaders... but i don't have a handy render to show.

I suspect it's the shaping morph applied  -look at the first and third pop-ups and it doesn't show the cling effect (a dark texture, admitedly, but the sternum does show on that in one of the other shots).

  • The character shape reminds me a Scott 6's revision...thumb up! smiley

Does Leo 7 load at a default of Y+13.00 for anyone else?
