Also interesting concept!
Theme-appropriate hairs, costumes, characters, and the contemporary clothing all looks nice and practical.
So much for "no more buying pro bundles" I guess.

How can we figure out how much he should cost if we have 5 punches and Olympia? Is it 44.95*0.5*0.7*0.8 = $12.59?
.5 for five punches, instead of normal new release discount of 30%
.7 for 30% PC+ discount on DAZ Original
.8 for 20% Olympia owners
Do the Leo bundles also qualify for the Olympia owner discount, or only the base figure?

It says the Olympia discount is only for the Pro Bundle.
Right now with 5 punches and the various discounts I have the pro bundle sitting at $37.79 from $134.95
Leo 7 by himself appears at $15 in cart for me.
The Olympia discount only counts towards the Pro bundle, as I read it.
It's an interesting shape. I think the lean/less-roided-up look is a welcome one, although I'll certainly buy Gianni 7 when we get him.
You guys are right - only the pro bundle is discounted for Olympia owners. I didn't read carefully enough.
I didn't realize it was JUST the pro bundle when I bought Olympia. Even at $37 (is the correct discount? 5 punches, plus being a PC member, plus the 20% for owning Olympia Pro bundle?), I won't be getting it. He's just...um, bright orange. And yeah...he's not appealing to me at all. Even the outfits aren't appealing to me, and my male genesis 3 has NO clothing at all.
All the Genesis 3 characters look orange in promos. The promos are always bad because Daz wants this stupid look over seeing what the character actually looks like and it's really easy to adjust in surfaces (or just click low translucency which most characters come with.) Michael 7 looked terrible in the promos but looks great when anyone else posts pictures of him. I'm so used to promos being completely irrelevant for actual colour and details that I don't even bother gauging it from the promos anymore.
But different people like different things so if he doesn't appeal to you, he doesn't appeal to you. Lots of people were crying that it would be the end of the world if it was Teen Jaden 7 so hopefully at least some of them are happy.
true, different strokes for different folks. We all have different tastes, and I know there are some people who think he's fantastic. Something about him tho is really off putting to me.
I didn't think much of Micheal 7 based on his promos...until I saw the promos AprilYSH did for a hair for him and I was blown away by how fantastic he looked in them. Now I think he's great. LOL.
I was really hoping for clothing tho - was hoping to get somethign with my birthday gift certificate but I'll have to wait till I see some other renders becaues nothing is appealing to me at all wiht his clohtes.
Yeah, it's not the PAs - I'm pretty sure Daz is just obsessed with these awful promos that don't give you any real indication of what a character actually looks like. I sure hope it's selling them many silent sales, because I see a whole lot of complaints about how much the promos don't help people on the forums choose characters.
I would expect a few more items tomorrow - typically the day after a figure there is a second round of supporting items, so maybe there'll be some clothing you like then.

At first glance, he looked very similar to M7 to me. Like his (almost twin) brother.
I think I was more hoping for an asian male, to tell the truth, with clothing more asian/fantasy inspired. Obviously the spartan outfit suits Leo 7, with him aimed more towards the "Greek Warrior" but I was wanting more like a really really GOOD pair of jeans with a great shirt - a tshirt that can be a short sleeve, a muscled shirt and a long sleeve shirt depending on the material zones/materials. I just don't particularly like the outfits releases with Leo - maybe it's a case of the daz promos not showing me what they are really like, and when someone does a render I'll like them more. :shrugs: I'm not sure. I can't put a finger on why I don't particularly am attracted to the releases.
The two contemporary outfits look - well - preppie or yuppie to me. But I can probably use them. What I'd really like to see is a 1930-ish common laborer ourfit: baggy wool pants, suspenders (braces for you lot on the right side of the pond), down-at-heel boots, long-sleeve shirts with the sleeves rolled up or sleeve garters. The guys who hauled bricks and dug ditches, dug out tunnels, built skyscrapers, and muscled cargo onto and off of ships.
Leo is a lean figure. Michael has more girth to him... like Eva being lean compared to Victoria.
Does this mean Gianni is next to go with Karen? Or was Bethany next after Eva?

I don't know, there is something about the promo's that seems rushed and unappealing. For example Lucius looks like he's just the main Gen3Male base with a bit of amateur Photoshop recoloring. I'm not saying it's so, just that the promo's look really unappealing. Does anyone have Leo already and post some pictures? When I look at the promo's I can hardly spot two or three pictures where I think, yeah you could use this character. Somehow he looks like a sneaky bad guy in the starter bundle cover promo.
This figure is definitely an interesting addition to the G3M gene-pool, but as a 'Greek hero' it is disappointing. An upturned nose, thin lips, weary eyes, hanging shoulders, northern/western European features - whoever made Leo probably didn't know too much about the classical Greeks' concept of male beauty.
Well, I'm happy to see another G3M. Overall, he looks like he'll be fun to use. My favorite part is the inadvertent hipster man bun. They may call it Leandros hair and beard, but I know a hipster man bun when I see one! I liked the pro bundle items enough to buy myself a Christmas present today. I'm still waiting for more G3M hair choices, though.
I agree with you, but I also think Daz thinks that people wouldn't be too interested in classical Greek ideals. Lean isn't really on the menu.
Only problem, you can't return when bought with punches.
So accurate renders, which seem to be more of a problem now then with G2, are a must.
I'm passing as good value as it is, becuase if I don't like, I can't return.
I ended up returning Michael 7 as it didn't appeal, and didn't seem that great; this does look better, but see above. /nod
He just looks like a character for Michael 7 to me, there's nothing that unique looking in him. The Gen6 men were all pretty distinctive. His body does look better though and he has better arms than M7 so there is that I suppose, but, he could have been a head and body morph for M7 rather than a whole new figure.

Yeah, it's been a continually worsening trend, sadly. Leo's renders aren't too clear. Olympia's were ...okay? same level orange as usual. Michael's were bad. Arabella's were REALLY bad (theatric lighting that made it impossible to tell much about her or even have different and interesting she actually is from Victoria.) Before that Josie's were nice but orange, and I actually thought Karen looked pretty good comparitively.
People really need to understand that you can easily change the orange without doing anything fancy or drastic, but Daz needs to understand that customers shouldn't have to learn how to fix their crap or make guesses on purchases because of their obsession with fancy promos over useful ones. We don't care about Daz's art - we want to make our own.

That looks good, and you can see there that there are improvements to the arms over M7's. It's like they said "It's too late to fix M7 now, what can we do!?"

Anyway, the muscle defination on those promo renders look amazing.
I bought his pro pack Don't really need Greek or Roman stuff and not into 300 but some good hair and some skins I will use as well as the scifi outfit.
The promo art is awful and it is a shame how it has gone downhill. Daz store used to have amazing promo art I wanted to imitate, but this looks rushed. The main character art should at least look good.
Because the names all follow the current Victoria. What's weird is that animals don't, so it's kind of hard to tell how recent a creature type is or which generation they'll have matching poses with.
Leo = Leonidas. All characters of the new generation are gen 7 regardless if they have existed before
Honestly, I don't think that Leo was meant to be classical Grecian, but that a Spartan theme was part of what was made for him (there was also modern clothing and space gear). I think of Leo as an actor playing a part, much like I don't think of Gerard Butler as classically Spartan in 300...yet I loved him in it. :)
Yeah, 300 isn't exactly remotely accurate, but it's good fun, so I like the idea of having the hollywood spartan outfit.
I also think it makes Leo's existence a bit stronger to have the lean warrior theme, even if he doesn't particularly have the features for a classical Grecian. I mean, his promos are all named 'The Greek Warrior' the hairs are clearly intended for a Greek warrior (or someone around those times) he has matching poses, an outfit, a theme-complimentary character ... that's enough for me to think it's meant to be part of his identity. "Awesome Warrior!" is more fun than "some other actor" isn't it?
I really like that Silver's character also follows the warrior theme with all the HD scars, etc. since Leo himself doesn't seem to have any sort of similar options.
to be honest, I rarely am that much dispointed by daz.
Every morning I'm excited to discover the new things in the daz shop. Today is a pro bundle day, and often I see great things. But today? Leo 7? greek worrior? Spaceman? Ok, let the guy have few minutes the benefit of to doubt. I'm looking closer: holala lala, what a mess. The guy look so ordinary. Let see the warior...what???? a warrior so thin? without any muscle making him able to lift his own spear and shield?? are you kidding? I zap directly to the sci-fi outfit: space corp. aïe aïe aïe.... after some great space outfit like Ares outfit yesterday, HFS Wraith, Planet explorer, Exo Suit etc... I don't think daz should present such poorly detailled outfit: it seems to be a bad M4 odly :-(

Yes I'm severe but I'm really really disapointed. Especially when it comes to a pro bundle. Come on Daz, raise yoour standarts a bit to what they where.
