Hi all, I´m Cesariuss and I'm happy to finally found a good Iray community. First of all, congratulate my friend Hellboy for his oustanding last work, but I didn't expect less from him. Yaers ago, when Dazstudio2 has nothing yo do with the great toll its now I was doing just noobie and crappy renders and he was already doing great works.
He is a genius who always will be severals steps ahead from us, tohose years U contacted him asking for yechnical advice and he kindly teached me lots of things and become my mentor and as a good discliple and thanks for his guide and advices I quickly raised my technical and artistic level.
So I had 3 days working with Iray and I learned some tricks about lightning ans sking shading.
I think the most of people its dealing with skin shaders in the wrong way and its better to do it with the old-school style.
So this is my render of Victoria 7 with Iray with my custom skin shader. Hope you like it.
Image removed for Nudity
First time posting any renders here on the board, but this is a character I made for an RPG I play in. I will need to tweak it and rerender since it seems to have left alot of firefly's. Still getting used to Iray and havnt had alot of chance to use it.
One test render with v7 with hdri lightning.
Inspired in the 2001 classic movie. Sun Light only.
Pd.- Autocensored :/
A birthday gift/kudos to Donna Barr, author of the wonderful Stinz (and Desert Peach, Afterdead, and a bunch of other cool stuff).
One interesting thing... the Patty Hat, which was a freebie at some point and is now part of the http://www.daz3d.com/patty-jewels-for-genesis-2-female-s , is... one of the best darn hats I've encountered. It's fairly morphable, capable of being a variety of flat or nearly flat-brimmed hats. The brim can be extended, the crown can be altered a bit. My only very mild complaint is that making the hat into a typical 'hat band' design requires you to alter the texture, but that's not that hard. (The included hat band is clearly folded over to look buckled)
The image is: G2M with dials, a free pipe (stone pipe) I got from TurboSquid, Daz horse 2, One Man Band (coat), and a few other things.
The shirt is actually a shirt + a skirt, because I couldn't find a shirt that was long enough and looked right.
Here's one with HDRI lighting only. EmmaandJordi's Dolores. HRDI Barcelona rooftops.
There is no nudity!
These look fantastic!
Here is a fun Iray render I did for a forum challenge over at Rendo. If your interested, there is a bit more info on the image in my gallery here: http://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/81595
Very well done!
I like your bears, esp the darker one, he's very sexy!
What kind of lightning you used for that image, William? A sunlight? I suposse...
great render and good work with the fiberhair from ZB! Gotta play with that more....
Ivy your Morning Unicorn is very very nice. Love it!
Yeah, I went with Sun. The trick is making sure there's minimal gloss on the backdrop (which is one of those curved panels that only works if you are careful with the camera position), and that the sun is on the right side of the panel. I might have used a little haze to make the sunlight not so sharp.
Thank you! It started as an annoyance about 'disturbingly young white waif girl skimpy stuff,' but a number of men and women seemed to really like him, so I've made a few more images with him. ;)
untouched, except to tag, Iray render. G2M, with alot of dial spinning, Darc skin with some tone ajustment, Valens hair and Ciao Bella pants with a dformer to lower the waitband. ;)
Oh! Now I understand, those curved backdrops are very tricky , I was about to say that the sun pointing from another side could give a better effect to the image, but now Ii realize that you had no choice to not get an undesired shadow wich makes obvious its a backdrop.
Actually you did a good job cause I didn´t notice it´s a backdrop, I thought it was a polygonal scenery.
Full size...
gun-crew-2_full.jpg
...where did you find that fantastic backdrop?
..wow, that is really nice. Almost looks like a still shot.
ok, here another render from me :)
the full version (i think it's a little to much skin for the TOS here) is here to view

Well, just try to google "beach" or "sea" or "beach/sea landscape" and take a look at your images results :). BTW the sand floor it´s just a plane with a nice sand texture I found googling for "seamless sand textures", the same works for bricks, floor, skies, etc. theres a lot of textures to free download out there with no need to fill your Hdisc with resources :), and the sand lumps at the border are done in postwork with the photoshop liquify tool pushing up pixels a litte. :)
What kind of lightning you used?
Ultra Genesis Studio (from Runt***DNA)
Some of the best skin I've seen - awesome!

Here's a fun render I did last night
Looking forward to getting Fit Control when I can, mutter.
Testing out some free clothing from Wilmap. Wow. Lots of good stuff.
Awesome! But the wheels needs a blacketst colour and bump texture.
