Yes, but at the time I made that post, G3 had been out a year without a GenX update. Very few updates had been posted about progress. So in the absense of these updates and the uncertainty of when or even IF we'd ever see a G3 version; it is logical for people to look at alteratives they probably would not otherwise. The person who made the app on DA did so because he was tired of waiting on the G3 version. He created his version for himself and then decided to release it. I can't blame him. He also released his item on DA so he would have full control over it, and by selling directly, he got a larger percentage of the sale, where Daz takes half of the money on every sale for themselves (I find that kind of crazy, "industry standard," LOL.) Again, since he's not on Daz, I can't blame him for that. But it would have been nice if he didn't ask $25, that was the deal breaker to me. If he had asked $15, I would have bought it without hesitation.
Well, now that GenX for G3 has finally arrived, all that becomes moot. Which is fine, because I nearly broke down and bought that alternative. So I am thrilled to see GenX for G3 get released.

Old Hair, old material etc can need some color tweaking. Also this looks great to do new color presets for hair to enhance variety. Believe me, one pick is very better than three frustrating typing of numbers.

The number of "fix" products needed to make things work with DAZ3D content is absolutely abusrd. DAZ should have only 1 human figure that is reshapable (reshapable into every figure they've created) - and ALL the skins, hair, clothes, etc. should work on it without converting or fixing anything. Shaders/textures should work automatically in every render engine. Blah blah blah - yah I know all the arguments against this.
I gave up a year or two ago trying to keep up with all this confusion and frustration - and as a result, I just don't buy most of the new content DAZ releases. It's supposed to be fun, not agony.

Because this will show DAZ and non-DAZ information I would like to know which place is the appropriate to upload the pdf. Share GC?

Very nice of you to make those product category summaries for the different generations.
First thing, Great Post! There are some great things that I would like to use up and down. But It would be great if someone could come up with a v4 and M4 Clown that doesn't have a ridge that the chest line.
I think you missed, Batch Convert Gen4 Poses to .DUF Format. It is the first step in converting poses from Gen4 to Gen5-8. you have to get them in the DUF format first, according to Draagonstorm. It converts the V4-M4-K4 Poser PZ2 files and convert them to DUF format. The issue: it won't convert hands or expressions; nor will it convert Partial poses and leaves the rest of the body Zeroed, which kind of sucks.
This issue could be easy to clean up, if someone has the source code. Change it from doing "Zero Pose -> Zero Figure Pose" to "Clear Animation -> Clear Figure Pose", then in the save section of the scrip, Do an "Uncheck -> Uncheck All" and then a "Check -> Check all Modified". Then only those thing which are not Zero will be saved, which insure it will not mess with things it shouldn't.
If you do a test, you will find that with the Zero Pose, there are values that are modified, but the Clear Animation, actually places zeros in all values. Check all Modified finds any value that is not Zero and places a check there. Actually you could do the whole thing and never enter DAZ Studio at all, You can read the Poser PZ2 file and Write a DUF, you just need to write it out in the correct format. You could also do the change Left and Right hands and I think you could convert expressions which do not have special morphs.
But I digress, back to more about your issue,
There is also a Script set, which seems to go back to Generation 3. and one of the examples is converting an A3 pose. The series of scripts is called Updated: Daz Studio Posing Scripts (now for G3F) - Script. I have them, but I have not tried them. I believe these would be manual and not as fast as DraagonStorm's batch Converters.
For M4 to G1M, G2M, G3M. Once you have the DUF file, you would only need to look for those spots which need a fix, in each of the files, take that the number, do the math and place the corrected number back. Again this could be done outside of DAZ Studio, if the files are not compressed. if the files are compressed then, it would have to be done inside DAZ Studio.
I believe that some of product to convert contains a .DUF converter or maybe pose builder...but I'm not sure about this. I need to see it. In any case, effectively Batch Convert Gen4 Poses must be included. Thanks for advice.

Probably creating templates with pose master it can be addressed. Of course, it isn't free but time saving.
