Yup, same here.

This topic is valuable to me because over half the celebrities named aren't ones I could spot, and I want to avoid widely recognized faces when I develop characters for my images and stories.

Maybe a generational problem, with many of the elderly, like me, not using the modern "TV Media" that much?!?

I recognized her right away. First thing I remember seeing her in is Maleficent and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (with Angelina Jolie).

While I don't consider myself elderly... I'm a Gen X'er.  I do mostly watch only streaming.  I suppose my comment was directed at those who know Elle Fanning's work, "Margo's Got Money Troubles" being a more recent addition.  It was based on a novel though.  

If you don't watch TV much, I guess that's all the better, as you can look at the character with a fresh perspective.  I do think it is a very good likeness.  Maelwenn has done a great job!  Perhaps better than some of the "professional" video game one's out there that have been created from her movie characters.

Excectly what I meant. Boomers like me probably don't use streaming from so many different sources. I don't and most of the people of my age who I know don't. I never heard of that series before and now, after having read some description I don't think I missed anything important.

My father is a boomer, he has Netflix, Apple+ and Amazon Prime.  So it might be best not to generalize.  As for "Margo's Got Money Troubles", Elle Fanning is up for an Emmy Award (in two weeks).  I think she's got a good chance to win it for Best Actress in a Comedy.  The show was excellently done (as most Apple series are).  It may not be for everyone, but it is the type of show I wish more men would watch to help them gain some insight and empathy for women.  My two cents.

Yeah, generalizing isn't good. Could be different, just because my base of thought is Germany, not the USofA and old people here might be different than those in the US. At least those like me and the ones that I know surely are.

And all I ever need to know about empathy was taught to me by my grandaunt, my mother and - of  course - my wife. Wouldn't expect to be able to learn much new from an US TV show
