Folks in the Bryce forum are nice to a clueless n00b like me.. making good progress on the scene..
Sent out for hot wings, bacon ranch chicken chunks, and boneless chicken with one mango habanero sauce and one Buffalo medium sauce. Now I have enough food to take me through tomorrow when everyone in town is closed and there's no bus service.

Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, sounds like a great idea! I have leftover penne pasta with feta, spinach, and roasted red pepper left for this afternoon.. yeah, I eat pretty well on weekend when I'm "in the studio"..
Are we only limited to two images in our signatures still?
Track art for "Dark Of The Moon, created 100% in Bryce 7 Pro:
..wouldn't mind some of that "un-simple" life right now compared to what i'm dealing with.
the 3de shadelessness is saving me soooo much money. ambibivalent as a complaint or not.
..yeah, Biguana is on the Wishlist. Not part of the sale though.
..very nic. Bryce lends itself so well to surrealism. Makes for great album cover art. Too bad LPs are still a rarity these days.
If I could find a way to share it, I'd send you some!!!
Yeah.. the fortunate thing about SoundCloud and Bandcamp is that they let you have "album Covers" and even per-track artwork, all the Bandcamp albums I've bought came with at least the album cover as a jpeg, some had per-track art and it was all pretty high quality.
Bryce makes it easy to create art that reflects the tone of the tune..
Cooked up a bunch of steaks and fishes last night. The job was way too long due to temps not being high enough, so the new George Foreman grill has to go back to the store today. I have my eye on a Cuisinart instead.
...wish I had the skillset you have, a fairly good demand for it here and positions actually pay decently.
Crikey I haven't wrtiten any code for over two decades now, and that was involved with proprietary typsetting programmes and an extremely robust line editor that allowed for creation of subroutines and module calls (never got into "C" though). Everything is completely different these days as it has pretty much gone from programmeing with style to bashing out scripts.
..I'm going to have to fire it up and play with it's "other side" more. Used to love doing surreal oil paintings when I was in college.
Hmmm, maybe there might be a bit of a niche there. Also remember the more surreal SF book covers of the 60s & 70s.
...indooor or outfoor grilling?
I have both, but didn't feel like cooking outside in the heat today. The old GE contact grill's timer knob crumbled a few months ago so I decided to try a George Foreman but it never gets hot enough to sear and I had to cook a lot longer to achieve doneness (internal temps 140-145). When I cook meats, I cook a month's worth or more then freeze it in sandwich bags, one meal's worth per bag. Prep and cooking takes up a whole evening, but makes subsequent mealtimes fast, assures that I'm not eating too much per meal, and allows me to rely less on prepackaged foods and junk food. Also lets me avoid keeping raw meat in my fridge/freezer, because I bring it home, marinate it, and cook it right away, then I'm done for a month or more.
So anyway, the George Foreman (the big 6-serving countertop version) didn't get hot enough to sear and cook quickly. So I had to cook everything longer, which made me stay up until 4 am, but at least I got it done (and had some yummy snacks while cooking). I'll clean up the GF and take it back to the store today. I've picked out a Cuisinart model instead (300 WS is $179 via Amazon). If my store has it for a reasonable price, I'll just pay the difference. If not, I'll get a refund and order the Cuisinart online.
Hah, I just learned something, because when I typed "marinate" above, I thought I had mispelled "marinade", so I had to look it up. Both are actually words; "marinate" and "marinade" are similar. The former from Italy and the latter from France. Essentially the same meaning.
I have. DAZ doesn't seem to care. Nor do they seem to care about the "Wait while we sign you out" issue either. That's OK. These days I don't seem to care much about DAZ either.
TJohn is regressing! I think you've gone too far, 21 would be good.
Dana
...and I am digressing as well.

Wake up. Happy Labor Day.
That is a goat?
If you put that in a Macintosh does that make it an apple core?
And now for something completely different... I'm in a rare celebratory mood. I'm celebrating having a car that again has its brakes fixed and otherwise repaired so that it is capable of a 3000 mile journey. I'm celebrating that gas prices are really quite low for a while. I'm celebrating that even after fixing the car I still have enough money for the 1200 mile trip to Florida. I'm celebrating that my health issues seem to be under control for the moment. I'm celebrating that the weather is cooperating. I'm celebrating that I found a hotel and attraction ticket price deal that matches my desires. So "I'm going to Disney World". Yea!

Well, not actually "Disney World", but "Universal Studios". Four nights in a decent hotel just outside the grounds of "Universal Studios" & "Islands of Adventure" parks. Three day 2-park passport admission, free transportation to the park, 1 hour early pre-public admission to the park. Harry Potter Diagon Alley, here I come.
And perhaps if I can sell my kidney in a back alley somewhere I'll get to go Disney too.
Disney World is great fun the first few times you go, but I've seen it so much over the last four decades that it doesn't excite me much anymore. However, the Universal Studios parks are still a hoot. I don't fit in the rollercoaster seats anymore but I love the "old people" rides and just wandering*, getting a beer at a street vendor, having breakfast at "Green Eggs & Ham", having lunch or dinner in Margaretaville, or Bubba Gumps, or the Hard Rock Cafe, taking in the latest 3D IMAX movie or recent blockbuster at the cineplex, or just sitting on a bench under the shade of a dinosaur. And "4D" rides like "Minions" are great fun too.
*Note: My "wandering" these days consists of renting a "Personal Transport Vehicle" (tiny single person golf cart) as soon as I get into the park, and driving around the park at perhaps 1.2x walking speed. This gives me the opportunity to beep my horn at any knot of people blocking my way and I can use my cane as an intimidation weapon. When I get to my destinations I park the PTV in appropriate spaces and hobble pitifully into line. If I have to be old, I'm going to enjoy it damn it!
