Too many good folks passing away.. makes you really feel your mortality. sad

Wednesday complaints: body hates me, everything is sore, I'm crabby AND it's going to be stupidly humid today, so all day in the guard shak debugging is going to be a sweaty experience despite the A/C.

Hump day, and the word of the day is:

    FEH

Nobody missed me when I died... None of you even came to my funeral.

    Stupidity aside...

I'll miss Wancow... Not that we really talked, but from back when I first started visiting the forums, he was always nice and helpful and a generally kind and fun person. I was really hoping he would recover.

You know, when I first started visiting DAZ, I was under the assumption that everyone here would be pretty young... Like 20s to early 30s... Over time I guess I realized more people here (perhaps on the forums) seem to be retired or near that age. I often wonder about many of the old regulars who vanished after the big shakeup of 2013... I hope all those who went missing just found something more fun, or moved on to bigger software... I hope they are all well.

I'm feeling all bummed out... I need to say something stupid and get my balance back.

thanks.   Word 2010 has been a dissapointment. trying to automate stuff, it's like the stuffy uncle of Excel. with statement, Excel being the stuffy aunt of access.  Visio is not what i thought it was, thought it was like cad, but is 2d shapes.

i should be able to do more with Acrobat.  there's a forms thingee in there, but dont know if adobe reader people can click and checkboxes and save in the reader only.

    spent several hours reading shapeways.com

lil baffled by thickness requirements and holes to let the powder come out.

they have 3d printers doing porcelain.

and is millimeters.  what's 700 mm in inches?  windows scientific calculator doesn't have a magic button.  this is harder than slopes algebra.

what is sharepoint?  why they excited about it?

Well... Remember, no matter where you go...  there you are.

You are probably too young to get that... It's from Buckaroo Banzai... A very odd 80s Sci-Fi comedy

Odd indeed!  But the quotation is obscurely profound.

Well, that would make Excell a b....ummm, a mommie dog...because Access is a dog!  Even when Microsoft stole the Rushmore engine from Visual FoxPro and put it in Access, it was still a dog!  I never did understand why they kept Access alive and dropped Visual FoxPro.

Visio was originally a flowcharting and organization charting app.  Probably still is.

I"m always home, where ever I am, it's the best place to be, here and there, and there, and there, and regularely on the same time, like now, and yesterday, as Salvatore, or a troll, momentarely as a prime number, or all on the same time, at the moment sipping koffee in a wake-up daze, a few seconds back,,,

    Good morning,, afternoon
