Maybe it is the next evolution of Daz customer service - AI Chatbots. But you have to buy your own from the store or get one free during the presentation.
Wait. You mean, they are answering your tickets right away and really try to support you?
Their new addition is the new head of marketing, a former JC Penny CEO who will do away with all sales and implement an "everyday low price" strategy. No more shopping cart jenga. No more confusion over Daz math. No more worries about a flash sale ending before you hit checkout. Prices will be reduced by 10% across the board for your shopping convenience.
A comment section on a product would be a great thing as well. Giving direct feedback to a product. Some PA's do post announcements of new products, and you can comment on that. but having a comment on every product would be a real nice way to give feedback
For a company that doesn't like speculative talk in the forums, they sure opened a barrel of monkeys with that announcement.
I can neither confirm nor deny that the forum team screamed when we had a slight heads-up for the email.
I second Richard on this one. We have to sort through the all you guy's speculation on the speculative nature of the speculative thread that is making us speculate what your speculating about.

In Germany, we do have a spiced cookie for the Christmas season called "Spekulatius". And yes, the supermarkets already have them in stock
Seems the most common assumption is a new generation of figure (whether it is Genesis or an entirely new family). If so, I will probably allow myself the usual year or two before I start buying into the characters and content because it is so expensive to start over. My G8 library has only just surpassed my V4 content and I'm not going to abandon that in a hurry. That usually saves me a lot of money for a while because the flow of content for the outgoing generation dries up quickly.
I'd rather see what's in DS5 than G9/GX/NextGen - especially if DS5 has new/improved animation and/or cloth sim. Or soft body physics. We can dream, right?

DS5 doesn't need G9, but THE G9 everybody is expecting it to be, does require DS5
Genesis 9, which is broken into separate products for head, torso, arms, and legs, and discrete texture packs to be bought for each, in case you don't want them all. And nipples are separate too, like in real life. Your new purchases only exist in 'the cloud', you can't download them, and your ownership is verified via blockchain technology using biometric data. Oh, and you have to interact with your figures solely in the metaverse, with Mark Zuckerberg in the background watching you, 'cause he's getting really lonely.
And of course you need a new fangled graphics card or three to render any of it within a week.
You're making me shiver. Don't give people ideas ...
DAZ will finally upgrade to 3Delight 13 with all the bells and whistles like physically plausible superfast rendering OSL shaders, USD support, 3Delight cloud rendering for all the animators. So sorry guys, strictly CPU rendering from hereon
Render engine upgrades that require a newer graphics card than the four I have in my machine
This is my speculation, since this is coming the day after the 40-series announcement. 40-series is apparently capable of handling real time ray tracing. How great would it be to be able to render an iRay image in the same amount of time that it takes to render a filament image? Think of how much porn high quality art we could put out.
DAX Studio 5 with Genesis 9 by subscription only ?
more like those tiered systems
Free - DAZ Studio Basic (that old DAZ Studio version that existed before DAZ Studio Pro went free, that lacks features and tools that the pro version has)
$9.99/month - DAZ Studio Pro (features that DAZ currently has)
$19.99/month - DAZ Studio Ultimate (features that DAZ Studio has PLUS features locked to only PAs, like the D-force hair strand tool and the HD morph maker tool)
making multiple options/choices would benefit everyone since not every DAZ Studio user uses a lot of the advanced tools that is available, yet some people (including me) have been asking DAZ to make the PA only tools available, but still hasn't due to them being proprietary.
A subscription would be a deal breaker for me.
I've had a subscription with DAZ for a very long time. Not just PC/DAZ+ but buying products constantly. I could have purchased a new car with all I spend here.
Comments
Another funny one:
They fixed the VRAM memory leak issue so you don't need to restart Daz every time you finish a render.
Whatever it is IT BETTER NOT COST ANY MORE MONEY.

I second discussion on what Genesis 9 (which looks increasingly likely) could be offering? I can't work it out.

Hm, getting all Daz assets at $29,99 a month. Including new releases. that would really be ground-breaking.

I think it's going to be Studio 5, but if it's NFTs, they're not going to like my comments when their announcements show up in my Twitter feed.

How long have they listed "Compatible Software: dForce Cloth" on the product pages?

The way things are going, the surprise is probably that DAZ won't be working with NVIDIA any more and we're stuck with Filament... :(

Maybe an update do dforce so this quits happening...
I rather enjoy those spectacular cloth explosions. Generally. ;) LOL
I'm tempted one day to just say, "Screw it!" and render out an explosion and post it.
I was trying to dForce Yarden hair G8M and Noa got really epic afro in the process. I don't know why this hair even comes with simulation settings.
dForce could use some work, though.
I did thar once.
In DIM in the "Download Filters" I just found a pre-ticked row what says "DAZ Studio 5"! So I go with that ;)
Neat! I just looked and yup, it's there. Interesting
It's been there for a while, presumably laying the groundwork since DS 5 is no longer secret.
The DS5 announcement will be "Here you go. Have at it."
