...apparently my 11th hour request to Comcast was successful.

Outlined my situation with a good deal of diplomacy and the rep seemd to be pretty receptive. However, just as she was in the process of filing my request for approval of the extension when the chat server crashed and disconnected us so I had no idea what happened until this morning. Have until Friday to come up with just the past due payment (61$).

Great! I find that Comcast has been much better at customer service in the past decade or less. Before that it was tough to call them useful.

Got a call today saying my computer has some critical errors, but I told them I know enough about computers to fix the errors.

You know that was a scam don't you? They've tried that on me a few times. I'm usually not so polite. :vampire:

I had a customer of mine call me and describe her problem and when she got to the point about saying that she had paid $300 to some remote organization to "FIX" her computer that still wasn't working right I was in the undesirable position to have to explain her situation without making her feel any worse. That's one of the things I hated about the PC fix-it business. I hated seeing vulnerable people get ripped off and having to come in and pick up the pieces. :-/

I hate those calls! They often say that they are Microsoft and that's why they know you have issues, because your computer sends MS info about errors and crashes and such. They give you a line to type into the command line and it shows a specific message, which is always the message for that command, and say that is proof that you have a problem. It's almost always someone with an Indian accent when I get the calls.

I wish the law could shut these people down and send them to jail!

DS 4.8 installed, Bryce 7 Pro installed.

    Holy Mother Of Carp! :ahhh:

No twitches when panning/changing viewport. IPR usable. Bryce renders like burning madness.

    :ahhh: :ahhh:

I should be set for many years of happy music and visuals! :cheese:

No iRay tests yet, I want to get all the rest of DS set up before I go off and mess with it. There's 4GB on this GTX850, so it should be reasonable to dabble in iRay now.. but my main focus will still be Bryce, for vision to my music.

Dinner,. Spicy Taste Kimchi Bowl.. yum.. :blank: :blank:

...had me at "spicy tastee" and lost me at kimchi. Never liked the stuff, makes sauerkraut smell like a rose.

Tonight it's a big batch of my homemade seasoned pork "street tacos" (on the small 6" tortillas) and fresh cut homemade Pico de gallo. Simple, tasty, and should last me a couple days. Will be nice when that hot weather hits later in the week, just have to take a container from the freezer, put it in a put a bowl and then in the MW to warm it up. Wrap the tortillas and nuke for 30 seconds to soften them as well.

Good homemade dinners and no heating the flat up by using the stove.
