    You need to explain more. Which character? Which textures are you using? Did they come with the model, or are you using another product?

    Using layered images will create a flattened texture in your temp directory. If something is deleting your temp directory, then it will delete those textures too.

    But like I said, we need more information.

  • Its a Genesis 8 female with a mix of some different figures I have found for the shape and textures, the shape is Alyona (https://www.daz3d.com/cb-alyona-hd-for-genesis-8-and-81-female) and the skin material I use and have to reapply everytime I restart my PC is Lexy (https://www.daz3d.com/lexy-hd-for-genesis-8-female), I also got an eyebrow remover scipt  (https://www.daz3d.com/brow-remover-for-daz-studio) that I feel could be whats messing with the textures sorry for not mentioning it in the original post but I still getting use to using Daz.

    If its a problem with some tempory files is there a way to stop them from being deleted?

    If you look at the product page, Lexy comes with a "No Brows LIE", so there shouldn't be any need to use a standalone script like Brow Remover.

    I don't have the product, so I'm not sure how it works, but the creator Zev0 usually has commercial threads, so you could find it and ask them directly.

    Deleting temp files is usually a file system thing, I'm not sure if Daz Studio has anything to do with it.

    If you want to stop this from happening, you'll need to get familiar with the Surfaces tab. After you remove the eyebrows, go to your figure's Face surface. If you click on the thumbnail, it'll open a dropdown allowing you to swap textures. The texture it's currently using will have a checkmark next to it. Go to the top and hit the Browse... button to open your file system. Copy the flattened texture map to a stable path (i.e. one that is not going to change) and then load it. If you hover over the thumbnail, it will show the new filepath. Once you've done that for every texture on the face, then go to File -> Save as -> Material Preset. Next time, load that preset rather than Lexy's default materials.

    If you want to load a preset you created, just highlight the desired figure in the scene tree and hit File -> Merge.

  • I think I have found a solution whilst looking around on the site, it was a prblem with the brow remover they discussed here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/258286/brow-remover-causing-white-face ;

    You was right about the temp files I was just being dumb thanks for the help.
