Yes, I have half a dozen so-and-sos. But the newer ones are all *better* so-and-sos.

Oh, I only have 2 or 3 whatchamacallits--at least that I know of--but I couldn't find any of them so I used a whatsits I got yesterday instead.

Edited because I can't even spell a fake word right. ::groan::

You may have too much content...

If your product library has more pages than the All category in the store.

Wait, that's not fair! The 'All' category of the store shows at 120 products per page, the product library at 40! I refuse to accept that I have too much content, when 'All' shows 99 pages, and 'Product Library' shows 114!

Unless you mean with 'Hide items I own' turned off on the 'All' category... If I turn that off, I have a little overhead... ;)

...and my thing-ama-bob and whatchamacallit count is through the roof.

You may have too much content...

If you turn off the 'Hide items I own' and suddenly there are 10x as many pages to the store as you thought there were...

And I refuse to count my whatsa-thingy-ma-doozies...

What if you click "hide items I own" and there is nothing left in the store? Would that be too much? :D

Only if it gives you a negative number.

Since some items have been discontinued, in theory I suppose you could have more than is in the store

Yep.  It's a nightmare, but I'm slowly doing it right now, as switching from 4.7 to 4.8 did something that makes deletes of figures insanely slow.

  • Oh me.  I split my gargantuan (near 800 gigs) runtime into 29 smaller ones.  And have to add one here and there, like with my V4 clothing.  I have a blueray burner and use the standard BD writable disks.  25 gigs breaks down to 23.5 gigs written to disk.  So at 20 gigs I quit adding to a runtime and start a new one.  V4 Clothes A, B, and C so far.  Sheesh.  I have found clothes of hers I have never even installed yet, let alone tried on her.  And lookit DAZ, gone from Generation 4 to 5, 6 and now 7!  I think Gen 4 will keep me busy the rest of my life!  Heh!   One curious thing;  ALL the Redhouse/Jack Tomalin, Stonemason and DM's sets I have will fit a BD with room to spare.  So far.  I bought ALL the Dream Home stuff, so what happened to support for all those sets?   Yo and look at all the new artists turning out great stuff too!  Yeah, ya got TOO MUCH CONTENT when you keep right on buying stuff and don't even install all of it.  Dang!  cheeky

  • 73 pages

    I'm OK

  • Happily they keep making hard drives with larger capacities.  I'm about to replace my 2TB ones with 4TB.  And Samsung now has a 16 TB SSD drive....  Which may be costly, but won't come close to what I spent on the content to start with.

  • too much but not enough at the same time.

    but
now I know I do not have a problem

This was page 2 of this thread BTW

    I am still OK

  • SSD's sound pretty good.  Like oversized thumb drives!  :D

Should I be embarassed to say I have only 57 pages in my Product Library?  Naaahhhhh!

I only have twenty or so pages... If I had the money to get the stuff I want/would like, maybe there might be another ten to fifteen pages... But I like making my own stuff, and figures to me are really only props for my props...

Is there such a thing as too much content?... Yeah, if you are eating dog food or getting evicted because of your collection... But if it's your disposable income or hobby money... Do what makes you happy.

As long as you don't have to sell one of your lungs or one of your kids on the black market... Besides, It's a hell of a lot less messy than collecting old bikes, figurines, novelty taxidermied rodents, Victorian era speculums or some of the other crazy stuff people collect.

No offense to those who collect vintage gynecological equipment and dead stuffed rats... I'm sure they are all very neat.

Well not so messy as mentioned here, but I collect books. This does mean that sometimes I also have to collect book cases, as the existing ones are not sufficient.   At least digital content doesn't take up physical space.  I am running out of book case space again.

  • 124 pages here

  • Aw you're making me feel giddy, Robert!  LOL!   Chohole:  Books are wonderful things to read.  And therefore, to collect!   I  just have a few books, though I am running out of room for my movies on disks!

    Too much content? Never.

    Not enough money? Always!

    164 pages and growing. frown

  • I feel like such a piker at 22 pages. I may have 20 GB of content waiting to be installed tho. blush

I collect vintage cars and vintage computers. Same philosophy, different hardware. The cars are a LOT messier than my runtime...

  • OK, I guess I can post my 165 page total now without feeling like a complete addict.

Just don't ask me about my totals including other sites...

My RRRR randomizer list contains 6173 items (and bundles are not spit up, lol)

  • 178 pages, so Totte has at last over-taken me.

  • At 47 pages, I officially feel like a loser...

Never mind that the first 35 or so are all Generation three and four...
