    A slightly odd glitch in an orange banner message today. The full message reads

    Because you already own a Viking Item, please enjoy an EXTRA 25% OFF any Item from Select Animals and Creatures when you buy the Viking Bundle today. Oso Fox for Daz Dog 8 with dForce Hair.

    The 'Oso Fox' part at the end is a clickable link.

    Despite the mention of the fox, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the 'EXTRA 25% OFF', and adding the fox to my basket doesn't appear to do anything special (unless you add the fox and something else which qualifies you for the various discounts that are unlocked by having two or more new items). So I assume that's just a copy-paste glitch of some kind.

    I don't know if DAZ can retroactively change messages after they've been sent, but if they can it might be worth doing that to avoid any potential confusion.

    I was going to ask what the Viking item is that I own. I only see 3 items in the bundle and I don't own any of them.

    edit: Nevermind - I didn't think I'd get a promo discount for having an item in the discount list. That's a new one.

    This is a confusing one. I've got the fox on the end of the banner. It's telling me I could get an extra discount on select animal items because I own a Viking item, but I don't own anything in the Viking bundle. I do own Daz Dog 8 which is required for the fox but I don't get any extra discount on the fox and I wouldn't expect one anyway since the dog isn't in any of the bundles. And I don't get any extra discount on the select animal items if I have the fox in the cart.

    Not an issue as such, but is there any chance that future sales will get back to requiring purchases of any new item instead of these very, very specific buy-in requirements we're having right now? There's about ten promos up there at the moment, and I would much like to take part in at least half of them. But the list of products I would have to buy for each is so small and so specific that I simply can't find anything on there that would be even moderately useful to me. Why would the store want to force me into buying things I don't want or need, instead of letting me buy other, same-priced items that I would really like to have?

    For instance, the Genesis 3 blow-out is really great for me, and I would love to buy, like, the Shader Rotator and the Oso Fox as buy-ins. But I can't because the Fox is on another list. Same with Genesis 2 blow-out, there's nothing at all on that list for me. Maybe one of the Mods could report this problem to the DAZ team? I don't think I'm the only one having it. If things stay like this, I won't be able to buy anything from promos anymore which would be a real pity.

    Yeah, I'm basically resigned to do the same, still hoping though that there will be a Valentine's Day sale in between.

    Nope, sure doesn't. Isn't it totally weird, this Viking flood? Sometimes it feels like all promos alternate between Viking, Sci-Fi and a random third theme, like 'Anime Resort' ...

    Of course not. They just throw these things up and keep on going. Their other job is in QC.

    Same here. Had a cart ready worth $50-100 yesterday which I played around with. Would have given me 76% on some animals and 47% on some new releases for the cost of a $20 viking bundle I might have not much use for. At the end I decided to just empty my cart and wait for other occasions I will spend the store credit remaining from the 8.1 bundles which I do not use right know.

    I just keep saying to myself that every new piece of stuff means some work to install, locate, try out, deal with potential issues and so on where I still do not have installed/content wizardized all my third party stuff not to speak from all the stuff I've purchased here.

    So yeah, guess I can well wait until March Madness buying only the one or other must-have on the way.

    Oh, thanks for that bit of information ... I hadn't noticed that. Just goes to show that all this proliferation of options just serves to confuse or obfuscate.
