Sorry, I meant Featured Artist, I wanted to correct when I answered but I used the same term again :)).
Looks to be those that are from 2019 and earlier have the higher discount.
I assumed that as well, but when you search the store for G8 bundles and sort by newest arrivals, bundles such as Scar 8 and Dain 8 are further down in the sort than bundles that are on the holiday sale. Having been away from DAZ for a couple years, I'm not at all familiar with the G8 character release order and I'm guessing that the sorting function is flawed?
Search is borked at the moment, but Dain 8 was in January 2020, Scar from July 2020.
You looking for a job?... clever way of getting Daz's attention.
@GeoffreyHawkins This link lists the Genesis 8 Core Figures in the correct sequence, although after the storepocalypse it has not been updated.
Thanks, that's very helpful.
Related: the Landon 8 and Tasha 8 Pro Bundles are now only listing as 30% despite remaining in the Select Sale category. I had earlier put the Landon 8 Pro Bundle in my cart at the correct holiday sale price plus loyalty discount. When I returned to make the purchase, the sale discounts were gone.
Not sure what you are talking about.
I would appreciate though a reponse to the fact that the discounts are not stacking. Maybe they are not supposed to stack but in that case, they should not be in two discount categories.
@tsarist - Early this morning I put that wild Steampunk Sleigh in my cart immediately on looking at it and was surprised how cheap, then noticed it was a PC+ item. Just now, I (finally) got back to my computer to play out my DazCart Thunderdome, and noticed that the price on that sleigh had gone UP! I went to the product's page... and NOW, IT SAYS IT IS JUST A DazOriginal, NOT a PC+ item. So that's why it went UP in price. I'm assuming that it was supposed to have been just DO and was wrongly marked DO/PC+ when it first went live this morning, but hey, maybe it was really meant to be PC+.... does anyone know?

Dear Daz: (or, maybe... @Cris Palomino ) If you go to the SHOP landing page at https://www.daz3d.com/shop/# and browse to the THUMBNAIL FOR STEAMPUNK SLEIGH, I see in the tiny row of ICONS UNDER THUMBNAIL the PC+ ICON. Go to the product page https://www.daz3d.com/steampunk-sleigh- and the page SHOWS JUST DAZ ORIGINAL, not D0/PC+. When I CARTED this in the early morning it was priced on page $3.49, but a few minutes ago I started the CartThunderdome for today and the PRICE HAD GONE UP and the product seems not to be PC+ now. Is it supposed to be DO ONLY or DO/PC+ ? Clarify please, & then get the ICONS under thumbnail and the labeling on product page to correctly agree.

The price of the Steampunk Sleigh isn't coming up right. It was $4 and change BEFORE my discount, NOW its over $5 and change WITH my discount. Please fix this... https://www.daz3d.com/steampunk-sleigh-
To the best of my knowledge, it is supposed to be a DazO. It got corrected on the product page, but the thumbnail didn't get corrected.
Side note... looks like a couple reference photos are showing up in the promos for https://www.daz3d.com/elaborate-jewelry-vol-3 that I don't think were intended to be there. Neat seeing the inspiration, though. :-)
https://www.daz3d.com/hersilia-hd-for-genesis-8-female is OOPS and the https://www.daz3d.com/fe-dforce-punk-street-outfit-and-poses-for-genesis-8-females with the Hallowe'en logo is at least a month and a half late.
I bought today's two freebies. They won't show up in DIM. I'm now suffering from that oft-reported JSON Parser error. Is there any fix for this problem?
2020-12-05 02:34:18.566 User Data Refresh: Elapsed Time 25 sec 14 msec2020-12-05 02:34:19.228 Network Error during authentication.2020-12-05 02:34:19.233 Json Parser (1,1): Syntax error - expected '{' or '['2020-12-05 02:34:19.233 Unable to parse purchased products2020-12-05 02:34:19.233 Invalid JSON formatting while processing purchased items.Same for the second image in the promo section for Mars the planet: https://www.daz3d.com/mars-the-planet -it's NASA photos of Mars from the Hubble Space Telescope.
I have been debugging this with a user and it self-resolved. I think the issue we are seeing now is that the session is expiring/getting invalidated and we aren't sending the expected messaging back to DIM/DazCentral so it's trying to parse the reply instead of attempting to login again.
Try logging out of DIM and logging back in and see if that fixes it (going offline and back online should be good enough)
Thank you for responding with a suggestion. I can't find a way to log out of DIM, but I did switch to offline mode and then back to my account and password again. That did not correct the problem. I got the same errors in the log. So, I closed DIM and reopened it and logged in. That didn't fix it either.
I have to quit for tonight. It is too late here, so I'll see if it is magically fixed tomorrow.
There is no manual download available in the product library for https://www.daz3d.com/pw-nirvana-space-station.
How hard is it to check these things before products go up?
Edit: No DIM download either. I suppose there's no chance this is going to be fixed before Monday?Readme missing for https://www.daz3d.com/fe-dforce-punk-street-outfit-and-poses-for-genesis-8-females
The "Historical Top Sellers" carousel doesn't match the contents on its "Shop All Items" page, which still goes to the "Select DAZ Originals" near the top.
Please help me with my math to understand how Daz discounts work. Thanks~
I haven't a clue, but if I put something(s) I want in the cart and get a discount higher than 80%, I checkout. Immediately. Don't think twice; it's all right.
It isn't an additional 60% off with a new release, it's 50% becomes 60% with a new release.
Just wanted to ask again today: the Landon 8 Pro Bundle is included in the Select DAZ Originals sale where everything has a base sale price of 65% off (with PC+). Midway through yesterday it reverted to list price (30% for me since I'm PC+). I had Landon Pro in my cart where it was under $20 due to the Holiday Sale (debut new release + loyalty), but later when I went to check out it had lost the higher discount. It remained in the sale link and still remains today. It appears the Tasha Pro also was similarly affected.
I'm sending an inquiry. I do see the ones in the carousel further down the page, but I think there are leftovers from yesterday.
Thanks.
Then, If my understanding is correct, for example, The Sylph Project Bundle already at 70% discount will have no other benifit for being in the Historical Top Sellers since it's already over 60%, nor will any other products that aready has a 60%+ discount get any benifit.
But still the cart price is a mystery. Then there is a problem with, for example, the two products below.
The Sylph Project Bundle (historical seller) is initially at 70% discount and in the cart becomes 86% discount.
The Yee Haw Bundle (historical seller) is initially at 65% discount and in the cart becomes the same 86% discount.
How could this be? Unless the cart itself is statically inputing the final discount amount instead of the final amount being calculatted according to the promotion page.
Hmm. As a former webprogrammer 30 years ago! Wow that's a long time ago! My humble conclusion is Daz webprogramming is not dynamic but static, or else it's beyond understanding how there could exist such a miscalculation. If this assumption is true, then it's understandable why there is so much questions about prices in the comments.
Hmm. I think I will take your advice =D
I can't download the templates for this freebie - I get a "auth invalid" message on an otherwise blank screen.
No, the 50% will be replaced with 60% - any other discounts will still stack on top of that. It's chnaging one term in the string of multiplications (replacing 0.5 with 0.4)
