  • It seems the new store mechanics are still meh—aside from being buggy as they could be—if DAZ still offers bundles to customers without deducing the price of assets they already own like it is standard on all other stores.
    For example, even $9.99 for the PC Anniversary Bundles is much too much if you own nearly everything of it except a few.
    With those recent politics of "grab bag bundles" that include old assets, even the discount of 10 or 20% they offer as compensation to people that own them makes those bundles rarely attractive to loyal customers. Rather they make them feel punished for already owning assets as every other gets them much cheaper.

    As far as I know you can submit a ticket to get a refund for bits you already own of bundles (at their equvilent bundle reduced price). Of course that requires extra steps which shouldn't be needed.

    Though the prize for worst bundle system should go to the PS store, where it blocks you from buying bundles if you own any part at all, even a demo. laugh

    I needed a bit to figure that one out until I realized you are talking about electronic junk instead of a graphics editor. wink
    But seriously, I rather do not buy instead of submitting a ticket, especially now.

  • Discounts on Friends of the sale still completely broken. 

    All the items should be a minimum of 50% off. That works.

    PC+ members get an extra 10% off - works as well

    Buy any debut or still new items 10% off does not work in combination with PC+

    My calculation was:

    50% off plus 10% PC+ end up with 55% discount. Discounting another 10% would end up with a total discount of 59 to 60% (depending on how the store software is rounding decimals).

     

  • Manual downloads seem to be fixed. I just downloaded three pages from my product library with no errors.

    Thank you for mentioning this, I checked my pages as well. And yes! Massive improvement. Only 1 file went to a page asking one to try again in 30 sec. No seizures or failures, lovely.

  • Well, sorry but once there is an offer like "buy both bundles together for an extra 10%" why aren't those then released on the same day? I can't purchase together as I've bought the first bundle already yesterday.

    I wonder if it's more of the Changeover Chaos messing up the algorithm. I got both banners for being a "loyal purchaser" of bundles. BUT I never buy pro, starter, or theme bundles, unless they turn up in Biweekly Freebies

    I don't think today's banner is a loyalty banner per se. It's more for getting the other bundle yesterday. The two together is 10% off today, but since some people already have it, they won't buy it again, thus the banner for the 10% off. In my opinion.

    Does that mean that by waiting overnight my bundle is now $33 rather than $29? These price changes don't make feel very inclined to spend money (especially as I can't download anything).

    has the text "z%20woman%20on%20a%20mission%20poses%20and%20expressions%20for%20millawa%208" instead of a SKU number in the URL (at least I assume it should be the SKU).

    i.e.  https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files/prod/z woman on a mission poses and expressions for millawa 8

    So it won't display the product info.

    I don't get it. My banner says 10% of the "Cyber Mission" bundle, which was 20% yesterday when I purchased. The "Cyromancer" is $30 in my cart. Don't know if there is an extra 10% applied but if I add the "Cyber Mission" to the cart the price of "Cyromancer" goes down to $27. So I pay more for "Cyromancer" anyway.

    I didn't get yesterday's bundle banner.  There is another one today?

    As to what Rod Wise Driggo said, I agree....this new method of releasing two bundles for each new character but not on the same day is just silly.  Give them both to us on the same day, please, with all the discounts available on the same day.

  • I still haven't recieved any confirmation emails for my orders yesterday and the day before that. I submitted a ticket two days ago, and added the order nr from yesterday, only one reply to my first ticket that they were working on it. Is it many who have had problems with no conf. email or activ. code for giftcards? I read one comment about it and my store credit will be really low after todays huge pc+ selection but I am really scared to buy a giftcard. And some have trouble paying w paypal and it that affects me I can't shop at all sad. When is this mess going to be over sad. I would appreciate a reply about if may haven't got their giftcard code, thanks in advance.

    AFAIK, if you store a card yourself, apart from the last 4 digits of the card no card data are stored on the DAZ site, only their payment service provider have access to the full card data. 

    That really doesn't matter. I'm not giving anyone permission to store the data that I used to make a purchase on this site once the purchase has been successfully completed, but it gets stored anyway. It gets stored even when I don't check the box asking for that to happen. Been happening since the changeover, I along with a lot of other people had to delete old card info and now I'm stuck in this looping hell. Nicknaming an unrecognized card is mandatory and even when the tickbox is not ticked, that card info shows up in Payment Methods after the transaction and is available for future transactions unless I manually delete it after every purchase.

    I don't care where it's stored. I care THAT it's stored, after I explicitly withheld permission for that to happen.

    I've brought this up in the other threads, but it was ignored. Perhaps my mention of Daz's "consistent and established website incompetence" may have contributed to that.

    I've brought it up elsewhere and was ignored as well. Daz really, really is going out of their way to ignore mentions of this from multiple people.

    Finding out about the site saving everything it can even on failed transactions was a new piece of nastiness I discovered today. The fact that we can only add a card and not just pay is insanity. The fact that we're required to nickname any card we use because "add a card" is our only choice is insanity. The fact that our information is saved, whether by Daz or a partnered third party, even when permission gets withheld is insanity.

    And yet there has been complete radio silence from Daz on this matter from what I've seen. They won't even acknowledge that it's happening. Maybe they went "huh" at the first report (from AnotherUserName IIRC) and I missed it but lately, nothing. No mention in the "known problems" thread to the tune of "we know and we're working on it."

    Oh this has to be fixed and soon. If not, im going to start researching the legality of it. Im very certain that every other site asks because it has to.

    You should. And for all that people are insisting "it's a third party," if you look upthread a bit you'll see that when a transaction bounced back for me today because of a cart/checkout price discrepancy, the Daz website still saved the nickname that Daz required me to give my card and put it into Payment Methods for future use. No permission given through the checkbox, and fortunately there didn't seem to be data attached because the transaction didn't go through. The checkout subsequently lost its mind when I tried to choose that card as an option (out of curiosity) when trying the transaction again.

    Nevertheless, all that could be harvested and stored, was.

    Initial searches are refering to PCI-DSS Compliance.

    Has anyone noticed any changes to the EULA?

    Id like to think that bugs are still being worked out but who knows. There has been no response to the ticket that I created when this was discovered.

    I have received a response from my support ticket (submitted yesterday afternoon/evening) regarding credit/debit card information stored on the site.

    I can tell you that it's a bug that they're working on today and it's expected to be resolved later today or tomorrow. :)

    I have to add that this new split bundle  thing is cuckoo too. and much more expensive. DAZ pricing has been going up anyway.

    My 10% off banner today is for the bundle I purchased yesterday at 20% off. No banner for today’s item or extra discount for owning the Nox Hair.
