Yes your're right. the parts are instances and are not correctly imported to blender. But they sell is as compatible with the Daz to Blender bridge: https://www.daz3d.com/the-streets-of-steampunk

you will have to take it up with them.

However if you want to avoid this issue without the need to duplicate and position said missing fence panels in Blender there is a product in the store that turns Instances into Objects that works inside Daz Studio and then port over to Blender.

You can use the Instance to Object product.

And I think you will have better luck with the Diffeo plugin, especially with the materials. The attached is the Streets of Morocco, imported via Diffeo with literally three mouse clicks total, and no tweaks to the materials at all. It even converted the gloomy atmosphere material which surrounds the entire model reasonably correctly.

How do we get 2.0? The version Daz Central and DIM install is 1.9.5.

I have a similar problem, but I am getting version 1.9.9 in Daz Central, and no option to update. I reinstalled Blender 2.90.1 to see if I could get it, but no luck.  I really don't want to have to totall reinstall Daz and my products. Any ideas?  Thank you.

Correction to my last, Daz Central has version 1.9.5, while blender's Daz armature shows version 1.9.9. Still no sign of an update available through my Daz Central.

The new 2.0 version seems it has some issues with transferring poses at least on my end.

imageThis is my character in Daz 4.12 before exporting into Blender and I modelled boots and suit on my own. Also I set the foot rotation and leg rotation for modelling high heels easier. It looks right and works right inside Daz.

imageThis is what I got with Bridge 2.0 in Blender. No matter what I set in Daz, it just doesn't give me correct leg and foot rotation in Blender. I tried setting pose to 0 in Daz and then importing into Blender. But that still messes up the legs and feet.

It works better with previous version of bridge, at leaset I can find a way that gives me a correct result. But now, I don't know how to make this right. There is no official tutorial telling us how high heels should be set or even there is no official video teaching the right pipeline for making custom high heels into Daz. I tried several times and the result is still not 100% perfect...

Could you tell me if two things are possible with the latest version?:

    - Can you import and apply poses to figures through the bridge? I tried the #get pose command that's listed in the original manual, but it doesn't seem to work.

    - Is there a way to send a figure over at subdivision 3, like Behemoth or other creatures with a lot of detail?

    Thanks in advance.

Is there a way we can pose in Blender then export the pose back to Daz?

Having problems persuading G8F not to snap back to default A pose. Could you please help me maintain a pose during the transfer to Blender process?

In the first picture, you can see what options I have when I go to use the script. There's no HD version, if that's relevant. It made me suspect I was still stuck on the first version of the Bridge.

Having said that, in the second picture, you can see that I can select both the prop and the figure, which I believe is evidence that I have the latest (2.0?) version of the bridge.

However, in the third picture, GF8 is still snapping back to A-pose, when I get to the stage of the process indicated just to the left of her. I thought this had been dealt with in the transition to the latest version of the bridge.

    Thanks for your time

EDIT: Fourth picture! I thought I was imagining it, but at some point I'd managed to get things working on both ends: Daz and Blender. Here, the pose (just some random limb tweaks as a test) did go across. Wish I could remember what I did! I haven't been able to repeat the success since

New version does not add plugin to Blender. Blender is newest 2.90.1. I tried to install via DIM. Progress creates some python files in user\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender directory, but even trying manually install those files in Blender does not help.

    Bug in install packet?

for some reason it unzipped the files to 'C:\Users\'username'\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\DAZ 3D Add-ons\

It would be nice if you can choose the destination folder to export and to import the file

Hi, after updating to 2.0 version of the Daz to Blender bridge, I've got this problem: whenever I create G8F morphs in Blender and export them into DAZ, the figure gets dramatically reduced in size proportionally to the percentage of the newly created morph. To have an idea of what I'm talking about, I'm attaching three pictures (Fig 1: imported morph 0%; Fig. 2; imported morph 50%; Fig 3: imported morph 100%). This happens any time, independently of the figure and the morphs already in use.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks!

PS: Posting here as I didn't find any already existing thread on this issue

The problem is the scales don't match - you may be exporting from Blender with some scaling applied, or more likely the import is at 100% (meaning one OBJ unit equals 1cm) while the exported OBJ used a larger physical unit for each OBJ unit. Try using the Blender preset in the import dialogue.

Thanks! Fixed it. It was indeed a problem of scale. I just had to tick the 'Size * 100' box, which was unticked, in the DazToBlender menu in Blender. Posting a picture for reference, just in case other people have the same issue.

I've installed many addons in Blender including some I got from Blendermarket as  well as the one for 3D Coat. This Daz plugin is one of the most confusing to install and to use.

Makes more sense to export from DAZ aas an OBJ then import the OBI into Blender instead of using this []

so, perhaps I am too much of a noob to understand this, but it isn't working for me.  First problem, there's no "scripts" item on the toolbar.  I've looked at all the fixes listed for this, and none of them appear to work.  Yes, I actually have it installed properly, I've gone over that carefully.
Not a clue what to do differently to fix this.

I think I got it right. Before exporting from Daz to Blender, you need to set all your pose to default position. You can do this by going to 'Posing' tab and click 'Currently Used' section, you need to zero everithing in here.

Then you can export to Blender with Bridge.

In Blender, you import result look terrible but when you click Rest Pose, it will look normal and you are good to go.

I have a problem lately and trying to find about answers I can't see anyone having the same. So I leave a note here ? Hoping someone could see clearer than me...
When the Daz to Blender was released first, I tried it with success and was very happy : it was so much faster thant expoting manually...
But now - without any apparent reason- it doesn't quite work for me anymore.
I can load a Character - that's still working- but then I can't move a single vertex in edit mode with the wireframe (I can select a vertex but not move it with "G key")
(or is it supposed to work only with sculpt mode ?? I thought I used the edit mode normally first time I tried....)

Does somebody have perhaps an idea of what it can be ?

I have the issue that the eyelashes don't follow the face expressions. If I command #split eyelash it's the same and when I use the separated  face-expressions shape Keys for the eyelashes it has no effect to the eyelashes. It seems the shape keys for the eyelashes don't work at all.

With G3 the eyelashes works how I expected, but there are realy less faceexpression shape keys. Is it possible to get all the faceexppression of G3 to blender?

Anyone know how to install this on the Blender side?

I find this bridge to be total nonesense and not worth the effort of install. Exporting as an OBJ makes more sense and you do not have to jump through hoops to install.

Have you instead tried the Diffeomorphic Daz Importer? It's better in just about every way, especially materials.

Yes try the Diffeomorphic Daz Importer 1.5.1. It's realy great.
The DAZ to Blender Bridge 2.0 is also cool. You can make morphs while the figure is in a pose and the morphs automaticly are added to the zero base figure. So you can use that for morphs. I did not try this yet, but if it works how described it can be a big help to creat more perfect figures.

Is it possible to install the update via DIM or manually?

The linked page wants me to install DAZ Central, then DS (been there, done that, not doing it again. I'll stay DIM only to avoid trouble).

    thanks

I'm also having the same issues with the Genesis 8 Eyelashes not properly following up with the selected shape-keys. I've attempted to split the mesh and re-constraint, didn't work, unfortunately. Looks like the previous version of Daz to Blender Bridge worked back in July.

Source: (Nazzareno Giannelli's "DAZ TO BLENDER BRIDGE" Youtube Video @19:30)." Hopefully, this fixes in the next update but I guess in the mean-time I'm gonna use the old version.

So anyone who has the latest version of Daz to Blender Bridge, be careful of this bug.

Blender has been upgraded to 2.91, but the DAZ to Blender Bridge cannot work together.
