OK, the issue is identified and a fix is in the works.

You should set up a back-end so existing sets that have been figured out by the community can be forwarded to you for review and publication. You could set a script to dump any sets that require parts from more than one creators directory, if you want to avoid getting oddball sets that require a door from this set, and a wall from that set...

If someone makes an oddball set, it wont show up in your Generator list unless you have all props in the set installed. And you can share dungeon builder sets as much as you like.
Might consider a backend, but then we get into the next issue if someone adds something malicius to that server, who is resposible when downloading that? Someone might craft a pretty malicous json with the right skills and intentions. Would as you say require someone to validate them. I think sharing your sets and your dungeons on the forum is good enough.

I just tried doing my first dungeon and the experience is so painless compared to manually positioning things it's hard to believe. My only nitpick (and it is just that; a nitpick) would be that when I used an arch with the MICK set it instead used what was clearly a window, which didn't allow passage, so maybe it would be a good future addition to put windows in a separate category--much like doors, in case they can be opened. Overall, I really like how everything works, thanks for the script

I Didnt have any windows in the beginning, but U might add that I the future

It seems to be designed to work with the Install Manager not the Integrated Smart Install, I just re-installed outside of Daz Studio with the Install Manager and it behaves now

Yes - DazConnect encrypt files that I cannot decrypt myself. It should not really have a Connect installer but nothing I can control..

I don't use it; dont like DRM products that I'm not renting.

Scripts etc are encrypted, but that is not the same as a DRM, they still work; the encryption is stop folks stealing other's work.

Got the blue box in 1978, the one with wax dice.

That's been one of the biggest annoyances of this quarantine thing. I'm really missing my weekly game.

We're trying a skype version on Saturday, although not using Skype but you get the idea.

We're using Astral and Google hangouts every Friday for our game :D

Discord and Roll20, is what we're trying.

I can't open the third party sets, but does the script expect them to be in the standard places?

I custom install everything. Data and Runtime folders I don't touch, but environments, props etc. are all customised in where things are - for instance, Stonemason and Faveral get their own subfolder, but others may be under Environments/interiors.

Edit: the script itself is in its standard place and works with the included preset.

Fix is on the way, a bug was found that was missed by everyone testing. I canPM you the files I a few hours when at my computer.

Great, thx! (the fix, that is, not the bug ;-) )

  • Are you planning to update this so it can be repaired through the install manager or do we need to get the files from you directly? I also haven't been able to use the builder with 3rd party sets.

Has anyone been able to use custom sets in this product? I can create and manage them fine in the Dungeon Set Builder, but the Dungeon Generator doesn't display them in the drop down. I also only see half of the third-party sets that I can see in the Set Builder.

Did you set the path to where the Custom Sets are stored? [ Set new path ] - button. And 3rd party sets is only visible if the content used is installed (and installed at the loaction where it is supposed to be installed).

Very helpful, thank you. I think I'm understanding correctly now.

    • The list in the set builder is all sets in the store that have a dungeon builder json template, whether I have bought them or not. The list in the generator is only those I have installed. After checking out the store pages, it seems I've only bought (and installed) half of the list in the set builder. I was assuming I'd bought all of the sets in set builder (thought it was doing the magic that the generator must be doing to populate the list)
    • I was saving my custom sets json to the Dungeon Builder content folder, but exporting out my dunegon plans to my WiP folder for the scene I'm working on. I didn't realise they export folder option was for both!

Awesome product, btw (assuming its yours?)
