    Daz fixed Emmawynn For Teen Josie 6. Yay Her material.duf script was trying to load Victoria 6's face for some reason.

    Wouldn't this be easier if DAZ just added an Updated On column to the Product Library and made it searchable? Then everybody just go see which of their purchases had updated recently?

    It would be ... but they just tell us to use DIM ...
    As I have a lot of products I didn't download through DIM ... I am thankful for these forum threads.

    In my view of things DAZ 3D built DAZ Install Manager (DIM) for a reason, to make things easier on new users that have no experience using the industry standard of Zip files for content installs, DIM automates the process for them. A second feature of DIM is the automatic updates of files done properly because the files to pull and replace are kept up with by DIM using the last install setting for a changed file. DAZ 3D has never said a user must use DIM, just that it is the best option because of what it does. DIM is a nice application and like all app's it needs to be understood to be used properly, I myself find DIM very easy to use, others do not. For those that to not wish to use it don't. I like having both options at my finger tips. DIM for fast Installs and a posted list of what the changes in the files were and why. That keeps me informed, and all my content up to date as well. What I myself would really like would be a DIM that I could configure for Third Party content Zip files. That would allow me to fully keep my content current at all times and remove the need to hand install content at all. A process I find time consuming.

    ...so if there's a revision to content from another store (just received such an email the other day) you still have to uninstall and reinstall by hand then?


    The toughest thing is when you are a "freebie junkie" like myself, you still have to manually install those.

    As long as the folder structure hasn't changed, and no files were removed or renamed.
