I've been trying to work with the Carnival products today. Several are no longer working. I think it is because some have been updated to DUF files and others haven't. For example. most of Carnival Presets doesn't work. Magic for Carnival Midway StudioCF does not work at all. >:-( Two more bug reports written.

I agree Mantis was much nicer for us users, for the reasons you listed.

And I've stopped getting notices for posts in this thread again. sigh...

Frankly I still don't think that eye product is fixed. It looks like two layers of the same line of eyelashes, with one having less opacity. Thanks for posting the closeup. I'm going to pass on that product I think.

Scott-L- LOL, yep, love the bald spot on the chin! HOURS on the hair? Uh-oh.

I haven't tried my Carnival preset that I am doing for RRRR. Since it requires a set to be applied to, if the additional textures don't work, I'll just use as-is. Won't affect the sport at all, particularly since I am hodge-podging three SETS.

That is bad that we can't tell what was fixed- it should be a transparent process IMO.

Whoa, DzFire and IgnusSerpentus just released Indie Game Developer licenses. There was a thread over in Commons asking for more of those- nice of the PA's to jump in and offer them. These haven't been previously offered have they?

They are on the New Releases page. Not under the promotions page yet, unless it has come up in the last minute or so.

EDIT: Interesting- one is OVER 100,000 and the other is less than. And DZ's lists the products (required) that can be used?

Actually, a cut and paste "oopsie." They just stole the description from elsewhere. Sharp eye there Barbult! I know the admin surfs all threads (Jaderail, are you awake at 3:20am?) so they'll see it / change it. But you might want to point that out over in Commons.

There is a thread about a certain soon to be released male figure in the member's forum (top).

Don't know how I missed it personally, but if you are a PC club member, go check it out.

I just hope the eyebrows are better than M6. It is tough to say until I can render him. =-)

If people aren't a member of the PC Club, and want another male figure for Genesis 2, now would be the time to get ready to do a monthly PC membership. :)

Gorgeous day here, going riding. Everyone stay alert tonight in the midsection of U.S. for those tornado pop-ups. We're getting storms tonight but it's gorgeous at the moment (about 78 degrees) so out the door. My RRRR render is almost done, probably early to mid next week. Been working on it daily and will incorporate it into SeaNautica Chronicles (with some minor changes.)

Flash sales, I don't know when they started but I would assume about 1:15am Central- says only 4 hours, but you know DAZtime. They are 50%.

I hope everyone isn't confused with all these -$6 off codes- there are two or three floating around today that work. One was for a targeted audience, but this one I think works for everyone: MAKE-IT-RAIN excludes gift cards and items under $10. I used it on the Oasis (Easy Environments) as it brought it down to about $10 which is excellent. Love that product!

I'm debating whether or not to buy Open Toe Lug Boots for Genesis 2. I think I have enough shoes for the ladies.

I don't think too many people are going to jump at a 45% sale after spending so much on MM. And a new figure coming up. Feel sorry for the vendors- its nice of them to put their stores on sale, for whatever amount.

Too much similar stuff on sale. I am just holding onto my wallet for Gianni.

Yeah, I spent like $75 on March Madness. I don't have much extra money left.

    Today’s Review is:
    Walk with Purpose Poses
    http://www.daz3d.com/walk-with-purpose-poses-for-genesis
    by Firstbastion

This unassuming product is a treasure trove of walking poses which are perfect for those long corridor scenes, busy markets, or just scenes where people are walking and talking. Although it may not be immediately clear from the title, these poses are designed for both gen 2 and generation 1 genesis figures which is a huge bonus in my opinion. Although I found I did still have to adjust the hands in some poses for Gen 2 figures, I didn't have to do that every time which was nice. The set includes poses for both genders, and poses for high heels as well as flats. Poses aren't designed to be extra-sexy so you can usually mix and match between genders, as there isn't a lot of excessive swayback in the female poses.

Another hidden cool feature is the ‘Quick Crowd Preset.’ Using this option will load a crowd of genesis extras into your scene who are walking and talking, all you need to do is give them clothing and texture and you have a ready made crowd. I’d love to see more sets do this. It is great for generating extras.

The poses look quite natural, and I can see I will get plenty of use out of this set.

Yes, nice render. I like the soft shadows. Had I know that Stonemason made Utopia Deck C, I would have bought it while it was on sale.

It was funny- I was surfing through My Products last night and had just clicked on the Girl Sergeant when I checked my email and went to the thread, just in time to see your render with it! Wasn't that the one you used with the running dog? I remember thinking how cute that was because I teased you about the hat staying on. I really like the way that outfit fits, and I think I got it a few weeks after your render.

So how do you like Domina?

I'm trying to finish up my RRRR and then I'll be dissecting the scene and doing many renders to state the products. There's too many to do at once and newbies wouldn't know what went with what.

That is not sold here at DAZ3d It is Xurge 3d's new release LARVA MKII for Genesis 2 Female. =-)

Xurge sells quality bodysuits for gen 2 figures that are believable without resorting to the sexy silly sci-fi stuff. They also have a 25% coupon available for easter with code right on their site. It is sometimes not usable on everything in the store, but worth a gander.

LOL. Yeah. Sarge's friend Girl Sarge. I've got to give them names one of these days. The hat is a bit of a military pinup style but I think it is cute and jaunty. I really like the default blue texture, as it seems more fabric-like than the other textures. I also wish there was a male counterpart. It looks strange to have only females wearing the outfit. I suppose I could see what it looks autofit on genesis 2 male.

Regarding Domina, she is a nice looking character and I like her, so far, but have had some trouble with her skin.

I have some trouble with the way she renders, and I'm not sure why. There have been some concerns and posts in the forums about her surface settings, and I confess I do not like to tweak characters too much. I am stubborn and think they should render under normal lighting well, without adjustments. In this scene, she rendered with lines on her thighs. You can't see it because I covered them with stockings, but they are there. Not sure why.

She has her own light set, which you will like, but I haven't played too much with.

Overall, I like her. But will hold off on a final verdict until I've used her more. I want to see if I run into any other issues with her surface settings.

Well, I'm with you. Lighting is enough of a challenge without having to try and tweak when they are alone, much less standing next to someone else. I've had to bring in dark lights and change skin color on some of the almost glow in the dark folks. :)

Just for yuks, here is Girl Sergeant outfit on Sarge.

I actually kind of think the bodysuit has some potential and some nice details I didn't notice on the female character. Change the blazer a bit, and you could easily make a male version, or a simple bodysuit for sci-fi characters.

Oskarsson, added some good details to the neck, the wrinkles and pockets. If there was a way to make the bodsuit both sleeveless and non it could look really cool.

Oh, I meant to say, that if you have Old Hag Greta, she has nice off-white teeth so you can use those in scenes to get rid of the dentury look for gen-2 figures. She also has really lovely eyes.
