Why? Mini-Rant.

Seriously Daz3d, QUIT logging me out of the main page. I click the "Keep me logged in" box for a reason.

We've all been complaining about that for years. You learn to live with it, because it doesn't look like it will change. Some have suggested that you get logged out if you log in from another device. But it seems to happen in other cases, too.

Oh yes, and we have been told to log into the store page before logging into the forum. They are separate logins (!?!?).

A change of IP address sometimes logs you out, but strangely not always. Maybe if the new ip is vastly different from the previous one, but I haven't tested this theory.

It's called the store and site software are possessed by Satan.  I find that drawing a protective circle in salt around my workstation sometimes helps.

Nah, that's just an illusion. You are mislead by the utter randomness and unpredictability of it all.wink

No    you need to log in to the front page,   that carries both log ins and Synchronises them

What happens when you go directly to the forums (via bookmark for example) and click on the little person icon to log in there?

Tried all the suggestions, am assuming related to it not handling multiple devices and browsers unlike other sites with better software. devil

The best idea is to go to the Front Page.   Direct your bookmark to the front page.  THere are two different sortwares driving the forums and the rest of the site,  They are synchronised if you get a good solid log in on the front page.

Clear your cache,  clear your Daz cookies,  close your browser,    even maybe restart your computer to make sure you have fully cleard cache and cookies, then bring up a new clean instance of your browser of choice and log in to https://www.daz3d.com/

If you log in just to the forum, then you are only logged in to the forum software and not to the main site software, whcih runs everything else.

Are you saying that logging into the store www.daz3d.com/shop first is not good enough? It has to be www.daz3d.com (front page)?

Are you saying that if we log in to www.daz3d.com (front page) that we will NOT get logged out later? That would be great.

I doubt it. I've tried all the suggested browser house-keeping, etc., and within a day or so it is back to normal. Yet again the onus is put on the customer. So often with these things the response is: "it must be something you are doing wrong". When I log into a web site I don't expect to have to know that I must login to a certain page - and only that page - to ensure my login works. And if that were the case, any reasonably managed site would redirect me to the correct login page.

I can stay logged in for several weeks sometimes and I always log in on the front page. I am one of those who close the computer down every night, so it is not that I stay logged in because the computer is still on.   Ok sometimes I do need to log in again,  but it doesn't happen too frequently.   When I visit a store like Amazon I can sometimes need to log in 2 or 3 tumes, depending what I am doing,  Also on the store where I do my main grocery shop I have to log in a 2nd time to actually get to the checkout, or even to choose a delivery date,  so It isn't only Daz.
What I am actually trying to say is that you get the best chance of staying logged in if you do it my way.

Satan resents this. (I am actually listening to sympathy for the devil as I type) He can't get his IT guys to fix his servers either.

I'm surprised nobody has suggested making sure your Nvidia driver is updated to the latest version.

I would also say that something like LastPass makes that whole log in process a non issue. Two clicks and you're good to go.

well on iPad its two clicks too use my finger to verify self fills logs in

    but

its the time it takes telling me to wait while it logs me out then redirects me to the main page not the store, forum or login page

    likewise on Chrome and Firefox

No question it's a PITA but ultimately it doesn't impact my workflow for long. I only come to DAZ 3 (10) times a day so...yeah...not wasting any time at all...not at all.

Weird....I log in with multiple browsers on the same machine (always from the store) and I stay logged in until I log out, which could be weeks sometimes. Other times, I have to log in and out a coupl eof times a day and it still works fine. I never shut my computer down really (unless there's a power outage). I only see a quick blip as it goes into the forum and syncs itself. I do this on multiple computers and never have any issues.

I use www.daz3d.com (autologin using Roboform) and it works for me.  Forum always logs me in automatically if I do that first.

My observation: If I haven't ordered something, Daz logs me out after a few days. I could be wrong, but it seems that ordering something - even a freebie - encourages the Daz software to keep us logged in.

LOL sadly not true for me ...

I order several times some days and still get logged out

Sometimes, the security software you have installed, including the browser you are using, can delete previously stored cookies automatically, if you set them up accordingly.
