Seems to be working for me now as well. Weird glitch. Oh, well. Shouldn't have been pretending to shop when it's not in the budget.
Need a Daz Originals Coupon ;)
@alex86fire, Take it from those of us who have been shopping here for years, (five+ for me,) stacking discounts on Gift Cards are uncommon, and almost always unintended by Daz. And when stacking does occur, it rarely goes higher than 40%. Until recently, it was unheard of for Daz to offer discounts higher than 20%, and you frequently had to purchase one or more new releases to even buy the GC at a discount.
Daz Originals, PC+, and RDNA assets are owned outright by Daz. If you buy store credit at 30% off, and then buy $100 worth of Daz-owned products, they make $70. But if you use that same credit to buy $100 worth of PA-owned products, a percentage of the $100 goes to the PA. Let's assume 50%. So Daz distributes a full $50 to the PAs, and is left with, effectively, $20. The higher the discount on the GC, the lower the amount of money Daz makes when you use the resulting store credit to purchase PA assets.
Like any business, Daz needs to make enough money to pay their overhead, (they do have a physical office—somewhere in this building, in fact) and pay their employees, including the software developers that are constantly working to improve Daz Studio.
The point is, I can't imagine Daz deliberately discounting the Gift Card in the 35%-49% range you're looking for.
This is a very expensive hobby. If you search the forums via Google, you will undoubtedly find multiple posts where I have stated it would have been less expensive had I taken up Golf! (I could have purchased a pretty decent used card with the money I've spent on assets, just here at Daz.)
There are ways to mitigate the cost, the most effective being, imo, to learn how to model and create materials yourself. You can find a lot of free objects online if you look, but nothing beats getting exactly what you want when you create it yourself. On the other hand, it takes time to learn how to model objects, time to learn how to create and add materials to your objects, (and money, if you use a program like Substance Painter,) and then time to create that perfect-for-you object. (Get really good at it, and you could become a PA, here and/or elsewhere.)
This isn't a sales error per se, but I really hate how Daz words some of its promotions, like today's Just In Case You Missed Them. The offer is for "$10 worth of select Daz Originals FREE", but every single qualifying item is priced well above $10. This means that no matter what you choose, you're paying for it; you're really not getting anything "free", you're just paying less, so the wording should reflect that.
Agree with L'Adair, been shopping here since 2013 so seven years. That's not a decent discount, that's extremely rare to deliberately set up a 35-49% discount. IIRC, for 20% you have to get one at $200-$300 or more. Sometimes 24% discount provided if your gift card was that amount. And other factors could also be required.
I'm not offended by the wording, but I did kind of roll my eyes at the fact that the cheapest purchase you could make was ~$20 to $21 (the ~$10 handgun set, plus one of the $21 Daz Originals, minus the $10 discount on the DO item).
On top of that, consider that gift cards purchased at a discount are probably also being used on items that are themselves discounted, so that's a hidden layer of stacking.
Although, those are all DOs, so for members, the price is 30% less to begin with.
And I think most of us agree, strongly in fact, that the adcopy for these sales could usually be worded better.
Good point, and the membership extension enticement also points to it being more for PC+ members.

Hm, sale loading error new sale interactive license 60% is visible in the banner line, but if you refresh it, it disappears....
The discount applies to the items as I see.
If you are considering changing your PC+ membership to renew monthly -- I think there is some kind of glitch in the process to do so. Late last year, when my annual membership was about to end, I decided to go monthly for budget reasons, so I changed it on my PC+ account page and made sure auto-renew was checked. Nonetheless, my membership was canceled, instead of being auto-renewed for a month. Fortunately, I got a good deal on the 3 month and rejoined.
Fast-forward to this month. A week or so ago, I again changed my membership to monthly with autorenew checked. I figured it had renewed properly since I was able to use my Save6 PC+ coupon last night--but this morning I got a notice that my membership was cancelled.
Note--this is just a heads-up for other members who might be considering shorter membership times. I opened a sales ticket last time it happened and I just finished submitting one for this repeat incident, so no need to report.
"pc-me" isnot working
Ditto
It applies without the code, from what I can tell.
Yeah, it does seem to be what it's happening.
Seems the '50% off' sale is exceeding itself (I'm seeing 66% off new releases (and 81% off DO new releases) - as well as other 'still new' items at 50% off (that people who bought them new at 30% off might be annoyed about (or asking for refunds on))
PC-ME isn't recognised here either.
I think you're right - I just re-checked the sale price before going into the card and they are subracting 20%.
Now all discounts are off, probably while fixing stuff.
Question about the 20% offer, is it supposed to be a one time coupon or can we use it multiple times? It doesn't say.
OK - I added one more item and the prices just went way up again. I guess I'll be clearing this cart.
Yeah, I'm not getting the discounts in the cart that they're showing on the pages.
Daz needs a mirror site just for them to test stuff before they release it to us...
This is getting ridiculous. Always problems.
Roses and Romance Bundle
Advertised price $47.76
Price in cart :$155.96 (???!!!!)
Price in cart : $38.21 Cleared cart and and reloaded.
Items from set added individually Grand Total $33.26
Um... okay?
Edit - and now the bundle in the cart has jumped from $38.21 to $136.47 !!!
And now the bundle is $95.53, while the individual items still add to less than half that.
https://www.daz3d.com/nature-plants-bundle-02 is a bundle, but the parts are not listed, and when bought, I don't have the individual parts, just a bin empty bundle with nothing in it.
So you were busy posting instead of shopping? I saw 72% and 80% or more.
Except now nothing is showing on sale. *sigh* Guess I should have really jumped on that 83% off stuff I found and amazing low prices on hd add-ons.
Again discounts going haywire... seriously.
Also could we get an official response if the PC-ME is usable one time only or not (still not working btw).
I'm just going to step away and look at it in the morning, lol.
Ok, guys, pc-me is only needed for the membership.
Otherwise, the discount is applying to your cart automatically for pc members (banner may not have shown up being changed yet).
