And finally can you confirm the code used was cut/paste from the email?

Nope.  Not working on anything for me either.  Last tried it on:

and that was a No Go.

Can you please confirm that you have received the code from filling out the survey?

Yes, and I too get the Coupon code not valid on Daz Originals that are not new and currently in my cart (Virginia HD for Genesis 8 Female

Virginia HD for Genesis 8 Female )

Coupon code "xxxx-xxxxx" is not valid.

  • There seems to be some issues, and Daz are having trouble pinpointing the problem.

So can I ask you all to please file a ticket, and screenshot the email/code you received, and confirm the email address it was sent to.. apologies for the hiccup.

Not sure if this is the case or not, but if you got store credit from reporting the survey issue, is it possible those are the accounts the coupon isn't working for? (It would make sense to avoid double-dipping). Might be worth noting if you received store credit previously when submitting a help request, just in case.

(Though Jack Tomalin might be able to rule that out if they've already checked that).

I didn't receive any store credit, and mine isn't working.

    I've just submitted a ticket

  • I tried using the cupon code for a Daz Original, not-new and not-PC item but it says "invalid."

I just checked, and there's no new credit to my account. Just the coupon from Daz.

Well, that probably rules out that possibility, then.

I just got the code again as a purple banner, and now it works.

What? If the old $1.99 stuff ever disappeared so would me rejoining the PC+.

And I wouldn't think of rejoining ... People's point of view is obviously different.

    Therein lies the problem :D

Can't please everyone. What about reduction? culling? It is the middle way (so we have more current/updated contents suitable for Daz 4.10+).

Personally I'd prefer not to see anything culled, especially since so many things can be converted with a bit of work. Or works well in the background.

That said, if there was an easier way to filter out just the older stuff, or maybe to move it to it's own page, that might be nice.

Right, another dumpsite for $1.99 old items.

I got the purple banner and the code worked...sort of. It only took $1.63 off the total cart which included many qualifying Daz Originals that were already discounted due to today's discount offers. I added one more older Daz Original for $5.95 that was not already discounted but the coupon then only took off $2.72 of the total cart. Doesn't make any sense to me. :( Perhaps you need to use the coupon to purchase only one item in the cart to get the full $5.00 off?

  • Did you have any free items in your cart? Otherwise there might be an issue with the coupon, a screenshot of the cart could help the staff figure out the issue.

I actually think those two were expressing the same opinion (albeit with the 2nd misreading the 1st) - "if $1.99 items disappeared so too would [disappear] my rejoining" vs. "and I wouldn't think of rejoining [in the case that the $1.99  items disappeared]"

Personally, there are still some $1.99 items I'd get (and love the anniversary sale bundles and BYOB type stuff). Even if they're put in a 'PC-Legends' category and removed from the normal PC+ lists, it'd be better than losing them. Sure there might be some props and outfits that have long since been recreated many times, but there's also a lot of stuff that doesn't have an upated clone and can be reshadered or fit-to new figures, etc.

  • Even if it wasn't meant to be those two comments specifically, people were suggesting removing items from the store earlier in the thread.

It's not that uncommon for people to ask in the forums after an item that they have either seen in a render or remember having seen in the store before, and are very disappointed when they find out the item is no longer available. When vendors mention that they are retiring, or have retired, items from their stores, people also don't like it. I don't see why removing items from the store should be necessary just because some people don't want them.

I received my survey coupon code in email and it worked correctly in the cart. Thank you.

An alternative to removing products from the store is to put older items in something like a "PC-Legends" Category as Silent Winter suggested, then offer them separately to more recent items during sales, which will reduce browsing time for many people - more time to browse can mean more sales.

Or set up a Daz Basement, with all items, chosen based on some dollar or unit volume in some recent period, subject to "Final Sale" terms and checked out in their own carts, thus reducing appeals to Customer Support for low-dollar items, while still leaving them available for purchase.

For the benefit of broke-asses like me, I did some testing with the coupon. It doesn't apply to BYOB, which is hardly surprising, but it DOES apply to PC+ for a day items, meaning that you can get three DO $1.99 items for just over a buck.

  • got my purple coupon for the $5 off only valid till 29th which is still ten daysaway so got time to be picky it's also combined with the extra 20% off deal for Yuzuru pro bundle for buying so many
