Morning. Bright yellow sun like an unblinking eye in a big blue sky that seems to go forever outside my window, is warming up again here :)

You know, the weather report would be better if it started like that. I don't mean the unblinking eye, I mean every day your descriptions are so poetic. Even bad weather sounds better when it's put so nicely.

Hey that's nice of you to say :)

    ...colder than a hexer's...

....well you know what. Wind is getting really bad, blew my hat off once and darn near did it again several times. Winds out of the Columbia Gorge at 19 gusting to 25 and only going to get worse. Wind chill is already in the teens which again for here is cold.

Local forecasts talking about 6" of snow on Saturday. Just got back from an emergency grocery run so I have enough to get through the weekend.

Is kinda ironic that people are stocking up on ice here, you buy bags of it out of machines, 'cos there is a heatwave on the way for the next few days. Strange planet hey :)

I can't tell how much snow we got. There was supposed to be some mixing of ice and rain, so that lowers the totals. But it's not supposed to be over yet, not until this evening. This must be a lull...into false sense of safety.

We only got about 4" but they still called off school cause we had sleet all morning. They are still calling for more snow this evening mixed with freezing rain.

They're calling for 9-14 inches for us...so far I think we have gotten about half that amount.

They didn't call off school here today, so I went. They wouldn't let me in though because I'm too old.

They don't here in our schools. Kinda stupid. How are you suppose to sign stuff. Printing is not an exceptable means of a signature. My kids know how cause they did away with it after them. They just started it the last couple years

...noon and it's only 29° with strong winds out of the Columbia Gorge making it feel morel like 15°.

Forecast for the weekend keeps changing, yesterday was calling for up to 6" of snow on Saturday, now just a cold rain and snow mix with highs in the mid 30s.

    Will probably change again tomorrow.

...yeah only 2 "R"s these days.

    while on that note...

Trying to finish filling out a job app that is in PDF format but it needs an electronic cursive signature and I don't have one of those. Will have to print it out, hand sign it, then mail it in the old way. Ugh, that will take days to reach them.

I also hate it when they ask for references. I like "old school" in some ways but that is just cumbersome.

Had to pass on another as I needed to be there before 6:30 AM and there isn't bus service to get me to that part of town that early.

Yeah a great majority of the time they don't even call the references so it's kinda stupid to ask for them in most cases.

They still seem to get a thorough education in cursive speaking, though.

Non-Complaint: I feel much better today.
Complaint: I don't look any better.
Seriously though, after more than three weeks, the bronchitis and cold symptoms seem to be over. Hope everyone else recovers from their icky-sicky sooner than that.

    take my land
    to the black
    can't take sky from me-eee

15 more minutes, going home to no buppy, no internet, not even a real bed to sleep on.
only blizzardiness, cold, and dumps and dumps of snow and icy walking on a road with no sidewalk.
scrabble ai buddie, i think it lets me have the triple word score squares sometimes out of pity.

Had a busy day at the mall today. I went and collected applications. I got about nine I think. and I also got some urls to apply online too. I got a ton of places I can apply to which I will be doing the next couple days.
