Help Improving This Project ...

Good day everyone,

I have started a new project and need some ideas on how to improve this. Mesh, textures, lighting, rigging, backgrounds, etc. are all open fields for suggestions. 

Thanks in advance (for the laughs).

    Thanks!  This might be a win, ... but I am open to many more suggestions.

    It needs a shiny floor, or water - ideally with an island and a tree growing on the island (though making the ball shinier might be an acceptable substitue).

    Penguins... everyone loves penguins... put a hat on one and forget it, you’ll have so many followers they build a monument in your likeness.

    If you want to be more controversial, you could add a naked platypus instead, but empires have been toppled for such heresy, so just be careful.

    If you want to be artsy, do the platypus thing and turn off all lighting for the scene... (it renders really fast for some reason)... give the scene a really controversial title and let people’s imaginations interpret it all... you’ll be hailed as an artistic genius and probably get a Nobel Peas prize or two.

    That sphere needs more subdivisions 

    a cube like Blender starts with might be a better choice

    A temple, and a sword.

    Make sure there are no shadows, so that woman there next to the sphere looks like floating

    Good point, give the penguin or platypus spiked heels... and consider elf ears, tattoos, fairy wings and possibly merging the upper torso with a horse... you know, a Pengtaur or Platytaur... eh... We can work on the name later.

    We could work on the character... I mean, young, check, ideal body proportions, check, but how is that even Caucasian? Or were you going after realism by encouraging everyone to think "this can't possibly be a Daz Studio render"?

    make sure the environment has no doors, that is key to a quality DAZ environment. And also, you need orange skin on the figure, another important feature.

    Hello Pi. You don't mind if I call you Pi, do you? 314 blah blah blah is too long to type. You want a chekerboard plane with sphere and crank the metallicity up to 1.0 and say "Yeah Baby!"

    Good day everybody,

    Thanks for all the great suggestions! I think I like where this is going. I made it through about 1/3 of the above list today. I hope to keep working on more suggestions, but with the start of the work-week progress will likely be much slower.

    Here are a couple images of what is coming out of the suggestions I have gotten to. Daz Studio is quite amazing ... I even found a hat-wearing pengtaur lurking about in my bashkit and ...

    Ummm ... trying to include male hairy nipples, men in sausage jeans, bacon, bathrooms and such are one thing, but you actually want me ,,, to ... use ... a ... Daz ... bus stop !?!?!?!? How do I even begin to choose which one??? And what good is a bus stop without a decent / normal bus? Aaaack ... the challenges ... unexpected ... ... ...

    That pengtaur is sublime... I think... I’m not sure how to use that word, but rich people seem to call things “sublime” when they are intellectually stimulating or fascinating, or the rich person is drunk and you are stealing their wallet... but it’s very sublime... actually, superlime... or perhaps even superlemon-lime... everyone loves citrus. 

    What I find most striking is how this render calls to mind the famous painting “The Education Of Achilles” by Eugène Delacroix... which in its own right is fairly superlemon-lime in its depiction of Ancient Greek nudity. The Education Of Achilles is believed to be one of the earliest public service messages, warning ancient greeks about the dangers of playing ball near the edge of high structures.

    I believe this is an image of the original before it was stolen from the Louvre in 2013 by a bunch of raccoons in a brazen daylight robbery that nobody really cared about.

    The ball needed stripes...and why wasn't the penguin holding an axe? I mean artistic license is one thing but where's the axe?
