Yes, using weightmaps for using dForce on non-dForce clothing is usually needed to keep meshes together, buttons in place etc, and to avoid areas that might cause explosions.
But dForce magnets has a very different use case. At least I will use them if I want the dForce object to be drawn in specific directions.
That's quite helpful ... thanks :) I've been struggling to learn dforce and use force as comfortably as I do dcc. Hoping this helps me step up my game a little.
I wouls suggest this video by Mada having an actual cloth usecase.
Thank you ... I will :)
edit:
I tried following the image to the video, but it didn't work. Do you have a better link?
Just go to Youtube and search "mada dforce"
Does anyone have the Just Josh for Genesis 3 Male(s)? If so, how well do the garments simulate?
Well, the flies come undone and the go a bit wonky but with a bit of tweaking it should probably work - use a weight map to protect the flies, or use a dForce Addone to pine them shut, and split the buttons to Rigid Follow Nodes. The pockets hold up amazingly well. The collar looks odd in this screenshot but it rendered OK.
hmmm ... thanks :)
