I'm thinking they would lose sales, because a lot of people aren't going to guess the checkout thing and just not bother clicking on something that's still showing full price and is probably therefore bugged.

Also, when the discounted price doesn't show up in my wishlist I may not even know it is on sale and not buy it as a result.

Same here. I usually look at my wishlist to see if any of them are on sale, as I am trying to prioritize buying those.

I have the Daz Deals plugin and after I open the sales page, I enable Only Show Wishlist. That let's me see very quickly if anything in the sale is on my wishlist. I use that a lot more often than actually opening the wishlist and looking for discounts there.

I have that also; but sometimes the 'view all artists' function doesn't work properly; so I resort to checking discounts in my wishlist.

That's how I do it.  Sometimes I have to reload the page after torturing myself by looking at all the stuff I already own, but it always ends up working.

I too have Daz Deals and love it, and I make use of the various checkboxes like only wishlist. But alas, there's no version for my Kindle Fire's Silk browser, so I can't do that when I use the tablet.

@Ati, no I am not asking you to do a version for such a niche browser!

The Chrome extension doesn't work on Chrome on a Kindle Fire, but the Firefox Daz-Deals add-on works just fine!  You will need to have Google services and the Google Play store installed on your Fire tablet, and then install Firefox through the Google Play store.

Interesting. I assumed browser extensions would not work on the browser versions used by my Android tablet so I didn't even try, but will have to check with Firefox...

I think having the Play store installed is pretty much mandatory on Fire tablets, as that gets you YouTube, the Gmail app, and all that other stuff Amazon doesn't think you need.  I mean they're still a good deal if you get them on sale even if you just use them for Amazon-approved things, but they don't make it easy to like them.

Anyway, there's not a single thing in today's spayshul items that's on my WL.  Flash sale maybe?

Love that a G8 base figure is currently in fast grab. Not one I'm interested in, but there's a few that I wouldn't mind...

Same here. Even though I use mostly G2 & G3, there's a couple G8 I do want to try, like Landon. Although I wonder why there haven't been more Fast Grabs or other deep discounts on base G3 figures. (Maybe during the Anniversary sale.)

Also, for people who like starter/pro bundles, the Karyssa 8 starter bundle is also in Fast Grab, along with Edie 8.

People are different... for me, getting Edie - and with her the Edie HD pack, too - at a bargain price is utterly great, even though I don't use G8F much yet... Edie is the female Ollie, making every other figure a bit more realistic. Adding a bit of weirdness to the unreal glamour model masses we get all the time. wink

Those “unreal glamour models” and skimpwear everyone complains about are not that unreal. This is a group of girls waiting to get on a shuttle bus to a Beverly Hills party last weekend. Where I live, girls really look like that...

Can’t upload for some reason. Will try again later...

Careful I've seen some down here that makes you wonder how they avoid getting arrested for indecent exposure especially around Halloween and on weekends I mean there's very little if anything left to the immagination

It's not all that niche. Easily the best selling Android tablets even before you add in all the various Fire TV devices.

Thanks I will give that a try. I may have to dig for it, the only app store tht's ever been on my Fire, which is 2 or 4 years old is the Amazon one, so I might have to dig for for it. But it will be worth it. I don't usually buy from the Fire but I do a lot of browsing on there.

This is the guide I followed.  First there's the guide for recent tablets like the one I got this year, and then below is a guide for older tablets.   On older tablets it's more involved.  Just make sure to turn off allowing APKs from unknown souces once you're done.

I love my Fire.  You can put in a large memory card and download movies and such for long trips, such as back and forth from northeastern Canada to Arizona each year.   I will look into how to put DAZ Deals on here, too, so thanks for the tip

Well, we're halfway through another PA sale, and this one is even lamer than last year's. Apart from the new additions to the store, everything on sale, up to now, has been available for less than current discounts. The only things I've bought were a couple of wishlisted items that I could get by stacking discounts and coupons for 60% to 80% off.

Last year's PA sale picked up a little in the second half, so let's see what happens in the next three weeks. Really though, this sale is about as inspiring as a limp carrot.

Is the catch-up thing usually one day only?

More often than not, they have been for two days, but they also usually mention "weekend" in the banner and adcopy. But I'm not seeing "weekend" mentioned anywhere, so if you want to take advantage of it, I recommend you don't wait until tomorrow. There will probably be another catchup at the end of the sale, but there's no way to know if it will include all of the products, or just those released since this catchup. I would expect, however, that the all the artists will be "featured" during any catchup sale, as they are today.

  • Also, keep in mind that the catchup discounts aren't always as deep as the original ones. Especially when the sale has different-every-day weird complicated conditions attached — the store software's fragile enough with just one day's sale rules, two weeks at once would probably cause spontaneous database combustion.

15% off GCs.  Better than last time's 10.
