Cool renders. I kinda miss Valerie. I should go to your DeviantArt page to look at your older comics and stories.
Thanks im remaking my early stuff in lux quality Valerie is still part of the story (the main star) this is the part where a ship full of new "prospects" get trapped on the giants planet.. Took a week to make those 27 renders in total not too bad Alot of it was also rebuilding the old characters creating scenes..
Rogerbee, I know what you mean about Amy's texture. I can see the seams between her arm and chest even when I set the shading rate low. Even some other textures for Victoria 4 look nicer than Amy with my light setup. I'll try to render a closeup at 640 x 480 or larger.
Amy in almost high quality settings in Daz Studio 3. I left the shadow settings alone because the shadows render slowly.

Great stuff,
I can't believe you were better than I am now when you had 'only just started', you must have a real knack for this kind of thing. I joined here in 2007 and it's taken till now to get where I am, and I have nowhere near perfected anything.
CHEERS!
What always bugged me about Yannek was that he didn't release his promo light set for the original 3 or their face morphs, he only gave us morphs from Marie's onwards. Artists should give us as much as they can, then we can make their work look as good as it can. All Daz figure releases look to be rendered with light sets that we can't get as I've never been able to replicate their look with any set I've bought.

LOL I think i sucked back then. That was in fall winter of 2009 / 2010 Its funny cause I came from being a PS collager so back then I used to render everything as individual PNG files and work all adjustments and fake shadows with PS. I did not truly render until 18 months into it using LDP2 then UE & now Reality Lux... I didn't care back then they were my virtual Barbie dolls to create my stories. Remember you will always be better then some and others will be better then you and that's ok...
That's a good way to look at it,
I'm good at morphing, if could find someone that could texture we could team up and be PA's.
CHEERS!
More fun with characters and Flat Top Hair. The skin texture, though I may have said I wouldn't go retro, is Jericho by Gypsyangel, a Fastgrab I couldn't resist. The suit is by Xurge 3D.
CHEERS!
Nice freebie hair used it myself http://fav.me/d6caqt5
Cool, the best thing about it is, even though it's FiberMesh, if you use primitive hitmode and alt samples with the AAL it renders in just shy of 3 minutes. FiberMesh hair wouldn't even load in Poser!
CHEERS!
Thats fast
What!?1 no guns, girls or zombies?
Nope just stuffed animals beating the stuffing out of an unsuspecting pig.
LOL
Hey, those stuffed animals look real cute! Where did you get them from?
Sure would like to cuddle them, though I also enjoy this type of cuddling: %-P
Yeah, not bad, if you change shader settings it does increase, but, you don't really notice any difference in the look of the hair anyway. I think I used a glossy plastic lighting model and that was it.
CHEERS!
Bringing home the bacon, nice!
CHEERS!
I say, steady on chaps!
CHEERS!
Rogerbee, are you staying up late? It is 3:25 in the morning London time. I think you are in the United Kingdom?
LOL! Couldn't sleep, but I want to now!
CHEERS!
I was thinking of doing a texture set for myself with those stuffed animals i used. i bought them a long time ago with the intent of doing so and never got around to it then lol. I did a couple pictures with them a few years ago but kinda forgot about tehm for teh longest time.
Well, now for the result of all that lost sleep, I went to the store and bought Guillame Hair. After my success with the flat top I thought this would be plain sailing, but boy was I wrong! The MAJOR issue with Guillame hair is that it is an .hr2, a Poser format, and it means that it ISN'T conforming, so Autofit will NOT work if you want to put it on M6, which of course I did. I managed to parent it, rotate it, translate it and scale it into place, and it did look good, if a bit thin. Then I remembered that there was a skull cap that went under the hair, however, it was a prop and just wouldn't fit M6 at all. Luckily, the hairline on the M6 Nevio texture with hair exactly matched that of the Guillame Hair, so it didn't look thin then. What I then did was to save it as a 'wearables preset' which in effect made the hair a smart prop.
Was the end result worth all the hassle!? Well, after nearly 3 hours of render time (and that was even with the AAL set for Primitive Hitmode and Alt Samples) I have to say that it was. If anybody fancies making any FiberMesh hair in future, please, for the love of god, make it conforming hair, the USP for that hair is that it is supposed to fit everywhere it's supposed to. Don't over-complicate it either, So long as the front and sides look good it doesn't really matter what the rest is like. There aren't that many renders of the top or back of someone's head!
Enjoy the render...
CHEERS!
PS (The M5 Dave hairy texture almost works, but, you'd have to do a bit of postwork to the hairline at the front.)
Dayum,
Maybe I should've read this:

Whoops!
CHEERS!
Playing around with the new overalls for genesis 2 female
If that's where your mind goes when you hit the theme of "overalls," I like the way you think. :-)
Seriously, full of win. The posing, the composition, the atmospherics (post?), the blue/orange/blue color progression from left to right. The pink guns. It's awesome.

thanks :)
The only thing i regret about the scene that i thought of later was i wanted a bunny backpack slung over her shoulder.
(yeah atmosphere was post. the lights though i used the AoA advanced spots.)
I get the feeling that the monster may be in trouble, after all, Will Smith in MIB shot the little girl for a good reason!
Anyhow, after following Ramwolff's tutorial I was able to save Guillaume Hair and the skull cap properly as conforming assets and it definitely is a lot better now. The render did take 4 1/2 hours though! And, yes, that was with the hair and skullcap flagged for primitive hitmode and alt samples! I'd say, if you're going to use the FiberMesh hair from Neftis, make sure you REALLY want to!
CHEERS!
I decided to take a chance and get Goya Hair, once I'd converted it to conforming hair I thought it looked great. Thankfully it had a lot more morphs than Neftis hair of old and I was able to get the sideburns to sit just nicely.
I tried a render and, with the same lights and settings as I used for the previous render, it took just over an hour. Then I decided that the Bjorn skin looked a little dull, so, I upped the specular values on the skin and now I think it looks just right.
CHEERS!
The last render has less red than your previous renders. It is amazing what specular values can do to the skin texture. I learned something new.
Yeah, you're dead right, I'll adjust the Nevio texture in the same way, but, this time I won't put Guillaume Hair on him!
CHEERS!
