Ok, I have been putting things in and out of my cart for ages. I studied maths to degree level but Daz-Maths is beyond me, I have to cart things to find out the prices.

Anyway, the best combo I have managed to come up with so far seems to be:

Mrs Chow Pro pack, her HD add on, Mixable Expressions plus 3 Gen 8 starter bundles - all for $47.47.

That doesn't sound like a bad deal to me... but...

if I hang fire will I be able to get a better deal later in the week, perhaps some handy utilities like last week.

Or wait until I can get a discounted gift card to use, which appears to keep happening.

But i do rather want to play now, of course.

Oh grr, this is painful. I am not decisive at the best of time.  To buy now.. or wait...

Based on the pay two weeks, I think I'm going to wait. The trade off being, if the price I have in my cart goes up, I'll probably just wait until Gen9 sales start and this eventually goes on clear... ER, sorry, sale again. I guess I will find out.

And yes, Mrs. Chow is a great looking figure. She's an improvement, IMO, on previous mature G8s, several of whom IMO, had more caricature than character. I might have made an exception to my G1-3 Only rule & picked up the Mrs. Chow base, but Daz no longer offers really tempting deals for debut bases. Daz used to do "Buy Joe 7, get Joe 5&6 free" promos, & the same I think for starter bundles, but marketing went other directions after the first few G8 releases.

I don't see any further push with Bridget.  If you are speaking of her as a Key to Unlock Savings, then Landon is there also; (and has been there for even longer) basically support the Newest 8 line and enjoy 10%.

I think this change is our fault, here in the forums. You only had to take advantage of this a few times before there weren't many/any previous Pro bundles to choose from. And as a group, we weren't shy about about asking for other incentives.

I guess I see it differently than most folks here. I got a whole boatload of stuff today for just under 50 bucks.

i do not see how these KEY PRODUCT SAVINGS work. I'm not seeing an extra 10% off anywhere, ever.

Except I'm looking at least week. Let's say a great new, extensive male clothing set or the next Urban future comes out on Thursday. And if I wait until Thursday, that can be one of my additional items to get the additional discounts. But I buy what I have now, and on Thursday I can't get the additional discount on the new product and I already spent the money today. So I don't get the new product, and I am left knowing that if I waited, I could have gotten both, so I feel bad about what I got today too. That's where I'm at, and I believe that is what other people in the thread are talking about. It would be one thing to just spend the money now and not having it later, it's knowing that if you waited you could have gotten both that is the problem.

Too many "what ifs" for me I guess...lol. With all my health problems I learned a long time ago that right now is all I'm guaranteed. I might not even be here tomorrow. LOL. Different views I guess ;).

You have a point L'adair. I liked that particular promo, and so did others, but I am sure Early Adopters didn't think it was great. And yeah as a group we probably tired of itonce most everyone got what they wanted

. Part of my nostalgia is probably the simplicity of the deal. :)

Yeah, I've got a problem with that. It's not right to end a sale, but leave the sale advertisement up.

Appreciate this post Laurie and I agree! Nice to come in here and see something other than complaining for whatever reason..

I think Mrs Chow looks amazing as well, but I can't see a use for her in any projects. Maybe one day down the road though. Good thing they didn't call her Chow 8, users would have probably been expecting a new dog, LOL.

Oh, I complain plenty ;). Just not about this...lol. I figure buyer's remorse is my problem - not the problem of the people I bought from. :P Also, sometimes the cart has gone haywire in my favor. Daz always lets that go. So it all evens out.

My current cart is a steal. It has three characters I really wanted. Plus the fantastic Mrs Chow who I am really excited about.  Plus so much more. Whatever, it is a bargain. Simple as that.

And yes, life is short. I too have reason to know this only too well.  Buying now and going to have so much fun tomorrow playing with these new toys.

Well, they should put new items too in the $50 list. I think I have saw these with B. and I picked what I wanted, so atm I'll pass on Mrs Chow. (till the $50 stay the same as Bridget's )

Not sure what I'm gonna use her with yet. Maybe I'll dig out that Streets of Asia set I have languishing on my hard drive and update it for Iray :P. It's about time. But I'll have fun doing it! Hehe.

The Key Products for the day are the Bridget 8, Landon 8, and Mrs Chow 8 Pro Bundles. I have all three now, so... hurrah for me. If I look at a Newly Mad, Still Mad, or Mad Atrust item, say Z Cold and Flu, it gives the base price. Add it to the cart, and it's lowered as though I multiplied the price by .9 (equal to subtracting 10%). For Z Cold and Flu, for example, it should be $17.95 with no discount, but becomes $10.77 after the 40% Mad bonus, then $9.69 because I have the Key item. $17.95 x .6 x .9 = $9.69

It may make sense to buy the Mrs Chow HD add-on separately in order to trigger the bonus buyer thing. It goes down to around $5 (87% off).

I'm not quite sure what you're seeing. The Bonus Buyer discount is only applied to the products featured in the Bonus Buyer section of the page. Also, as a PC member, you can pick up one of the new PC+ items to get that 70% discount rolling, and then pick up the HD Addon at the same time as buying the Mrs. Chow 8 pro bundle with another Newly Mad item, and see the addon go down to $335, if my calculations are correct. (Even lower if you previously purchased Landon 8 or Bridget 8. Mrs. Chow 8 in the cart will not trigger the extra 10%)

awesome..I'm not sure if the 10% is being applied ... it does not appear like it is.

I built a cart with the Mrs. Chow 8 pro bundle, the HD Addon, and the textures for the Cheongsam, which should then trigger an extra 20% discount for items in the Still Mad section, as stated, (and linked to,) in the offer at the top of the page.

By my calculations, the total discount should be 64%, (50% for MM 2+, 10% for owning Landon, 20% for the Mrs Chow + 2 offer.) However, I put two Still New items in the cart, and only saw a 55% discount, (50% for MM 2+, 10% for owning Landon). I added a third Newly Mad release to the cart, and that item, a PA product with a 40% discount, received the extra discount!

Looking at the Offer on the Mrs. Chow 8 sales page, it states get the extra 20% discount on Newly Mad. (I pointed out this difference early this morning, shortly after the changeover. Cris reported it fixed, and I promptly forgot all about it.) I've attached a partial cart screenshot showing every item, (except for the Bonus Buyer pose pack,) and none of them get the extra discount. But the one item in this shot that does is the Newly Mad item.

Looks like the text for the Offer on the top of the page still needs a swift kick…!

'Fraid so. I even did a Ctrl+F5 page refresh. Still Mad is still there.

It does say buy the Chow Pro Bundle plus two Newly Mad Releases, so that changed.  But It then says we get 20% off of Today's Still Mad Releases.  Which might make it match yesterday's deal?  20% off the Chow-specific products?  But if that's the case, then people who waited are getting hit with the need to buy two of today's releases to get the good prices on yesterday's releases.  Is that how it's supposed to work?

Although I usually get them, I haven't gotten any emails from DAZ today -- neither the daily sale one nor the weekly PC+ one.

Take it out of the realm of March Madness, and you have your typical New Figure release: Buy the pro bundle and two-plus addons for X extras discount on the lot. Now overlay that over the MM promotions, and you get Day 1, (yesterday,) buy the pro bundles and two Newly Mad for the best discount on the bundle and the addons. Day 2 and beyond, (today and every day until the offer expires,) buy the pro bundle and two Still Mad for the best discount on the bundle and the addons. But because it's MM, there will be some differences. One of those differences is you aren't locked into yesterday's addons for that extra 20%; Today's Newly Mad will also work with the Pro release promotion.

Below that is an offer we can only count on for one day, to buy two or more Newly Mad and get an extra 20%; the same offer if you buy MC8 with those two+ Newly Mad. This ensures people who bought the pro bundle yesterday will still get the extra discount today.

(It also means people who didn't buy the pro bundle can get the extra discount. Yay!)

I wish there had been a new Bonus Buyer, I can understand the HD add on staying there, but the poses has been there for three days now. Hopefully there's something new there tomorrow :)
