I created a basic water and terrain field, which I needed for a render. I posted them on Sharecg.com. Feel free to use if you need. The terrain has a high poly count, so you can easily use the D-form tool in DAZ Studio to customize it.
Trying to do a render for a friend of a Great Dane. Does anyone know if there's a freebie texture for a Black/White Harlequin Great Dane anywhere for the DAZ Mil Dog ??
Here's a quick freebie...a blue texture set for those shoes...
(resize in image editor to 2048x2048)
And here's the render...
Close, but Plimsolls don't have a seem running around the top of the toe.
Do you have Poser Debut, Tramp? If you do then look in the props directory for Ben Clothing. If you have Poser Pro and I think even Poser then the shoes are under Poser 6\Props\Ben Clothing. You will find a pair of Plimsolls in there. You will have to do some work obviously because Tommie is a V4 character but I think you can handle it. Once you get them resized and positioned you can save out a pose file. Nice thing is they are not rigged so you won't have to fight that to get them to work. They only come in green so if you want a different color you will have to play with the textures as well. Hope you have Poser!
I can either to that as a morph to the existing shoes or make it a new item/derivative work...and yes, distribution of either is allowed per the ReadMe file...
You can create original textures, transparencies, bump maps, morphs
etcetera for it and distribute them as you like, free or for sale.
(I'd appreciate a copy; but it isn't compulsory.)
You can modify the included items, and distribute the derivative versions
provided that:
1) The derivative versions remain free.
2) Proper credit is given to the creator, with a link to the original.
3) The right to distribute free derivatives is passed on to others.
(I'd like to see your work; but it isn't compulsory.)

That's closer, but still not quite there. The soles need to be thicker(figure about one full inch thick), and a throat line seam (very different from the one on the Yacht shoes) should separate the quarter and tongue from the toe and vamp (which is a single unit) of the shoe, as seen in the attached image. The laces should be thicker too. This is another real good shot of a Plimsoll shoe as well.
As for how soon I need them, I'm not in too great a hurry, but I would like to find some relatively soon so that Tommie has something to wear besides work boots.
(This time, I'm not going to wait to the last minute before asking.)
My search-fu is failing me - I need a Chinese street scene, but all I can find in the way of Asian outdoor environments are Japanese. What I really want is Bird Street in Hong Kong, but I'll settle for "generic Chinatown" if I have to. Does anyone know of such a scene, or the props to build one?

can i have a recency princess dress in more then one color if you can thanks
Is Chris Cox's "Rococo" a Regency-style dress? I'm not up on historical fashion (and, from the development notes I've seen, neither was Mr. Cox). I've attached a development image to this post.

Maxi you will need to tell us more of what you want. Who would this dress be for and what style would you be looking for. So please provide more details of what you are looking for.
Could someone that is more awesome at textures than me perhaps do a few MFD dress styles based off Blanka Matragi stuff? I think her pieces are so beautiful! Doesn't need to be EXACTLY the same, I love the way she uses the hand painted fabrics in such beautiful colors!

A couple of quick questions regarding Setchup as I'm not very familiar with it. What file format are the models ie OBJ? Do they work in DS 4.0? And what are the usage rights, as I couldn't see them on the link? Cheers!

Sketchup files come in a proprietary format and require conversion. There are add-on converters/plugins for the program (I think the paid version includes obj export, but haven't looked at the latest version, so I'm not sure). As such, they are not directly usable in DS 4.
Basically, using them for personal renders (and even commercial...but a large number of the meshes have questionable backgrounds...) is fine. Other than that, it's a sticky question...

One of Sketchup's formats is dae (or Collada) and DAZ will import this format. That being said it is a hit or miss kind of thing. Sometimes DAZ can and sometimes not. They are very low resolution models and so the textures really suck but in a pinch you can work with them. Sketchup's native format is what MJ says and has told you the usage rights and their pedigree.

is anyone working on this? if so I could use a pair, and if not I could try and make them.
I am...and it will be at least the middle of next week before they are ready.
But here's the latest. Yes, I know I've got a couple of reversed normals and the laces still need work. I've improve the UV mapping greatly...but still need a texture set for them.

These are very simple and basic. They will provide a starting point in your renders.

Anyone know of a set of freebie old-style blue Plimsoll sneakers for V4 or Genesis ? I need a pair for Tommie, for some of her other outfits.
Not exactly like your picture, but free:

Or these, once again not excatly the same, but free

Yeah, but with that particular model, the edging can't be removed...
Yeah, but with that particular model, the edging can't be removed...Which is why I can't use it.
How about this...and how soon do you need them?
Also, which program would they be used in?

Well I know that sketchup is not a favorite but that was with Studio3 so I just loaded up the China Town Gate in 4.6 perfectly and google has lots of Chinese buildings.

Assuming it's what you're looking for, you can download the dress at http://forumarchive.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=106182 Our own chohole has made alternate colors for it, which are available at http://chohole.ovbi.org/page_3.htm
EDIT: Oh, and there are other textures for the dress at these sites:
