I wonder if anyone can help here. It seems the Wayback Machine is quite a nice way to get to older freebies not working. However, I have a site which I have found today via a forum (not with the WM). I know this is quite an old site as I remember that I had visited it some years ago. But for some reason a few of the freebies is not working and after trying with the WM I had no success as it takes me to a link not quite correct. http://web.archive.org/web/20011008004404/http://www.wg3d.com/downloadsx.html
I have never used the WM and I am not sure if I have searched correctly. It seems Robkelk is more familiar with this. ;-)
The none working freebies I am looking for on this link is the:
spinning wheel
cradle
scooter
mail cart
fantasy coach
(not sure if I have left something out on the list of non-working zips)
The mail cart is something I can use in vintage renders. Do anyone know of such a mail cart elsewhere?
Thank you for any help. :)
Laura
What I have done to use the wayback successfully when I don't get good results with the page I want to look at is to use the capture bar at the top of the wayback machine. If you click on the hot link (it is usually something that looks like words like 63 captures on the left of the time line it puts you in the month mode and you can see all of the blue dots for the year you are currently in. From this page I look for a date just before the current designed page. The owner probably inadvertently broke the link to the download and is not aware that that has happened. So using this technique I found the following:
For the fantasy coach and cradle (Note don't click on the fantasy coach image this will give you the hot rod. Look for the red toy car in the second row and you will get the fantasy coach download. For the cradle look for the green tractor) http://web.archive.org/web/20111115212620/http://www.wg3d.com/downloadsx.html
For the spinning wheel all of the captures from the wayback machine seem not to work. You never could down load it from the time it was introduced in May of 2007 to the present.
I really want to thank you for your help in this regard! :)
I have contacted the artist via email recently and he has fixed the links within an hour thereafter, on his new freebie page (except spinning wheel and cradle still going to do later), as he wasn't aware of the problem since he's not modelling anymore and even sent me a few more gifts for letting him know. This is what I like about the community when people helping each other whenever and where they can! It is much appreciated. :-)
Anyone know where I can get a half-way decent Bridal Bouquet prop. Share CG and Renderosity are dead-ends, as are everyplace else I've looked. The only thing I've found is a fractal image for 2D non-commercial use.

Your welcome Laura. Glad that it worked out for you so well and thank you for getting him to fix his links.

Tramp, Evermotion might have something. the link is to their freebie section. Also I have sent you a PM with other alternatives.

Tramp Graphic...do you have any links to images of what you are looking for?
Edit: from those images I just now saw, you could use the one's at 3darchive, just color them blue. I would suggest Lisa's botanicals to find baby's breath and extra roses to make the cascading bouquet by adding to a standard one.

The problem is format. 3DS format won't work for my needs. Even trying to convert to obj format using Hexagon would likely end up screwing up the material zones and UV maps. I know this because I've tried converting a 3DS prop once before, it didn't work. I need something in obj, Poser, or DS formats. 3DS format won't work.

The free modeler Anim8or works quite well for converting 3DS to OBJ (there's even a plug-in to export OBJ files with MTLs) and I've had no trouble at all with conservation of materials. If it's already mapped, there should not be too much trouble, but I cannot vouch either way.

On another note. There is something else I've found is sorely lacking. Anyone know of any good freebie wallet props for Daz or Poser? It's preferable if it could open and close too. I've searched a few sites, including the two biggies, and no luck.

This is maybe not quite what you are looking for but it's a bouquet in both poser and .obj formats. I was searching for something and my eye caught this bouquet and I was thinking of you. Here is the link to the Japanese site:
Does it not work in DS4? I tried applying it and it changed the color, but just rendered up as a flat, gray surface when I did a test-render. Is there anything that works well in DS4? Free or paid? The glow shaders in Daz's store really don't look much like a glow, more like just 'neon' colored fabric...

Did you lower the opacity? At default settings it doesn't glow.

Anyone know where I can find a freebie Keffiyeh for M4 or Genesis? Ideally, I'm looking for one worn in this style. I need it for one of my main villains.

I have sent you a PM.
ISO morphs to flatten v4's heels and toes,
every time I try to make flat shoes her foot pokes out the bottom like a Norman Rockwell hobo painting.

You might have to piece something together, all I could find was this: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=60883 and of course this one which isn't free: http://www.daz3d.com/anjali
Tramp Graphic, if you can convert 3ds you can get bouquets at 3darchive...

A glow shader for DS? Or a tutorial for making a neon-sign kind of glow effect in DS?

Thanks immi, those will do great. :)

http://www.sharecg.com/v/63158/browse/11/Poser/Two-turban-props-for-Micheal-4Definitely not what I'm looking for. While the Keffiyeh can be worn like that, it's not even close to the style I'm looking for.
