$20 worth of Daz Originals for FREE ... but I don't understand how it works.
For example
- item 1 : $10.48 (58% off), in cart $7.34 (71% off, Loyalty Discount)
- item 2 : $7.12 (58% off), in cart $4.98 (71% off)
- item 3 : $6.28 (58% off), in cart $4.40 (71% off)
- item 4 : $6.28 (58% off), in cart $4.39 (71% off)
Well, the total :
- 58% off, $30.16
- 71% off, $21.11
But the cart tells me the current worth is bigger than $20 (+ $5.93).
So I checked the worth for each item when a Debut release is in the cart,
- item 1 : $7.89 (68% off) , more expensive than the previous 71% off
- item 2 : $4.15 (75% off)
- item 3 : $3.67 (75% off)
- item 4 : $3.66 (75% off)
The total is $19.37.
So how the worth can reach $25.93 ???

Not a Dazeteer, so this is only a guess. When I was tinkering, it looked like the $20 value was applying to the undiscounted value of the item. So I put Mall Santa Props into the cart, and then a Daz O that the full price of was $17.95, and that item was free. When I put a second item into the cart, it seemed to discount $20 from the combined full price. I think. That said, I think it may have been applying discounts, and then deducting from that. It was really strange, because for a while, the prices and discounts were bouncing around like mad, including the debut/still new item itself. It stabilized in the past 15 minutes. Sort of.
Only a guess, though. And it doesn't explain all of what's going on.
I can't get the discount to work. I deleted all of the PC+ items from my cart and even having only one Daz Original with a still new release item, but nothing seems to work.
I suspect that it's applying the regular discount before the $20, but applying the loyalty discount after the $20. It's working much more straightforwardly for things like HD add-ons that are over $20 and that the loyalty discount doesn't apply to.
(Although to be clear I totally do not understand which things loyalty discount applies to.)
One of the Debut new releases, the Traction Engine, was showing Free on the sales page, but only 30% off in the cart. Neither are right, of course. It should be 30% off on the sales page, and then 30% off stacking with my loyalty discount in the cart.
It's now showing full price on the sales page and the link goes to the home page. so it looks like the Daz elves are hard at work getting the store to work correctly. Perhaps you'll see the $20 kick in once the Traction Engine is showing properly on the sales page. (As an indication that elves have been successful.)
I don't think the loyalty discount is applying to the DOs. either. The discount I'm seeing in the cart is the same discount advertised on the product page. The $20 DO offer is a "Today Only" promo, and if you expand the Loyalty Discount banner at the top of the page, you'll see "Today Only" offers are excluded.
They do apply. A DO has a $27.28 price at its product page. Placing it at the cart drops it to $19.10. With FWSA Ryker as a $20 discount trigger, you can now get it for free.
This was broken a few minutes ago. Ryker only dropped said DO's price to $4.07 ealier but DAZ somehow fixed it.
Ok, so right now, if you add the Traction Engine, you'll get the discount even if the page says there isn't one. If you don't see the loyalty discount applied, please put in a ticket.
The $20 off is working. Buy a debut or still new - get $20 off DO's except new/pc+ memberships or gift cards. Please put in a ticket if you need further assistance.
Based on your experience, I sorted the DOs from the linked page by % Off, (provided by Daz Deals,) and put a couple more DOs in the cart, but with discounts higher than 30%. Those products gave me further discounts. I'm guessing the loyatly discount is applying to DOs that are also in the catalogs of the Feature Artists. However, if a DO shows only 30% off on the page, (for PC+ members,) it's not getting further discounts in the cart.
Maybe a mod can find out if all the DOs are supposed to be getting the loyalty discount, and nudge Daz to get it fixed if they are.
I'm seeing the same thing, and I have submitted a ticket, because I got neither the Loyalty discount, nor the PC discount. I did have a DO in my cart, too, ($20.97) and got th3 $20 off, but even then, with a cart price of a little over $13, what was taken from my store credit was $22.51, so there's a problem with the cart, too.
Double check what you ar actually paying.
I think you're right. "Pure" DAZ Originals are not getting the loyalty discount. But if the DO is part of a bundle with a featured PA, the discount stacks. I think that's the reason why I got that bundle for free.

Various Originals are not discounting, like Vintage lamps, Shabby Vic iray, Victorian Decor, Ancient Swarm for Gensis8, etc. Why are there items in the $20 off list if they aren't being discounted??? Is this something that needs a fix to work, or were these items mistakenly placed into the $20 off list??
Some of them are PC items, correct? It says on the sale page "(Discount applies at checkout. Excludes New Releases, PC+ Items, Gift Cards and Memberships. If the total value of Daz Originals in your cart exceeds $20, then $20 will be taken off the total combined price of those Daz Originals in your cart.)"
Thanks Jack. From what you said (and what is written), it would appear that there are items on the list that don't belong there. Not sure why DAZ would do that because this just creates confusion. It would be akin to adding old items to a Debut list, or something similarly confusing.

Edit: It looks like all the info here is suspect since I'm just not getting the $20 off deal at all anymore, either because I already did it too many times or because it's broken for some other reason.
I'm still seeing a few that aren't working right. I'm strictly finding products through the link from the sale page, which appears to be excluding New Releases & PC+ items correctly.
Lilith 7 HD Add-On (https://www.daz3d.com/lilith-7-hd-add-on) is currently showing as 66% off at $13.98 on product page, but with the $20 off deal costs more than 0 (I forgot to write down the amount). Note that this is different from the other Gen7 HD Add-Ons, which are all over $20. (They don't give loyalty discounts but I don't know if they should.)
Izzy for Genesis 8 Female (https://www.daz3d.com/izzy-for-genesis-8-female) is another 58% off like those Noah mentioned originally, and seems to behave as he described.. On product page, shows as $7.96 (58% off of $18.95 list). In cart by itself I get a loyalty discount making it 71% off at $5.57. However, in cart with a new item it's now at $4.64 (76% off), rather than free. I suspect this is because it's also by a featured artist, so the extra 40-to-50 featured artist deal is overriding the Daz Originals deal.
More: The two Gen8 HD Add-Ons I tried behave differently from the Gen7. For both Charlotte 8 and Stephanie 8, there is no discount at all when combined with new releases. That is, they remain at $27 no matter what. (Unless this is because there is a limit to the number of times you can use this deal.)
Tried the same cart and it works here.. so refresh etc, failing that please file a ticket.
I've tried multiple times with many different combinations and even tried logging out and back in. None of the combinatins of debut or still new release and a DO are now working for me. Is there a limit to the number of uses?
IFor me it does not give the full $20 off. added daz originals for $19.36 then a "still new item" for $9.78 and the total comes out at $14.25 instead of $9.78.

I won't be contacting support since I believe I've run out of new releases I actually want. I had just kept experimenting trying various things out to give more data to the thread in case it was useful. If you can't reproduce it, then who knows.
Are you supposed to be able to use the discount more than once?
Good question. I used it a few times and then it stopped working.
It doesn't specify a limit, or lack of a limit. I was able to use it twice and then it stopped working for me.

And I just had a thought. If you add a Debut New Release, should the 40% off for FA items drop to 50% off before the $20 are discounted?
Does not seem to be working for me either. Cart attached, i think I did this right, but often I overlook something. Let me know if you see I did anything wrong. No discount on checkout screen either. I was looking for an excuse to buy that little robot :)
