Happy holidays to all!
Last year Rendo contest entry. Placed 4th. Gallery
The little girl has been lost for days in the big city, too exhausted to look anymore for her grandmother on a cold and snowy Christmas eve. Maybe that woman is her grandmother, maybe not. Maybe Santa will make a miracle!
Touching scene tulipe, I feel for the little girl , It makes you want to cry.& hope she finds her grandmother. Santa looks like he maybe hitting the sauces so properly you want to stay clear of letting hm drive anywhere :)
Thank you @Ivy. I'm glad that guy is not the real Santa
Freelancer: Dangerous Planet
This is a stylized character I've been working on. The base is Charlotte 8
Love this! Very creative lighting perfect for sci-fi...
She looks great, good work!
Thanks. I got some really nice lighting effects from DAZ, but the silly thing is, I was most excited about getting that spotlight effect in post-work. :-)
Happy New Year
Spells gone awry...
She shouldn't have pulled an Elvira and substituted the Organo for the philendra
Nice work

Ideally you want to right-click your picture there and then post the link that includes the .JPG on the end, then post that. Like this:

edit: Wait, that didn't work either. 0o
Oh yes, that's right, you have to post it in via the Image button.
And then limit the width to 800 pixels in the image tool dialogue for forum viewing. It is then possible to still view it full size if required, but does mean that people viewing on other devices don't have problems
After I post an image to the Galleries, I highlight and copy the image (Ctrl+C) from the gallery page and paste it, (Ctrl+V) to my post. The resulting image is 730 pixels wide and automatically includes the title of the image and a link to the full-size image. You can stop there, but I like to add my name to the title, (i.e. TITLE, by L'Adair,) change the link to the gallery page, and set the target to "New Window (_blank)". Right click on the image and select Image Properties from the pop up to change the title, etc. (That's also how I made your image smaller in the quote.)
Christian 8 with the Zollacce outfit; it autofit decently, yay!
Thanks for reposting my image usually Ipost my work on an off site but was being lazy next time I'll do a better job LOL!!! Really I do appreciate the help.
I feel I'm getting better with understand the Iray renderer I had to post work the lights and windows on the space dock in the distance as the model I used had no windows or lights I could use an emissive on.
It's an impressive render for sure!

So, I built a new PC (I am a Mac user primarily) with a nice NVidia card (RTX 2080). Took forever to transfer all my'runtime' to the PC from the Mac; but here is my first not entirely trivial test render. It is notable for using Stonemason's old 'Tin Pan Alley' set, with only the default conversion to Iray materials, but I think it looks pretty good, and rendered in only a few minutes. The recent 'James 8' character is the model.
That looks good. I have a GTX 1080, and I'm now envious of your RTX 2080.
I love many of the older sets, like Tin Pan Alley. They have so much more modeled into the mesh, and frequently do very well with in Iray. Especially anything by Stonemason!
Here's a render I did last month for Llola Lane's challenge over at PFDLives. I added it to my gallery here, but waited to post it, as the product hadn't released yet. It's available today, the third set in Jepe's Art Deo Statuettes series. I really love these. Anyway, this is:
Winter Reflections
Dolls
I was really disappointed the dome didn't cause the eye to get real big. I can get that effect with a large sphere, but the sphere hides the rest of the face. It was still fun to put together, though.
This image was entered in the PFDLives Edition of Llola Lane's Monthly Challenge. (PFDLives is member-only, but registration is free.)
It's a great idea for an image and the posing is great. Personally I would have went with a more realistic skin set to match the backgroud, but I like it!
Thank you, @FSMCDesigns.
The background was created after the main scene was finished. I didn't really think about it being "too realistic" for the foreground. I was focused on trying to get that big eye effect, and made the eyes very oversized. As you can see, it didn't help. But I liked the character, especially with that hair, so I kept the changes. The background is actually it's own scene, rendered separately, and composited together in Photoshop. I could bring it into 4.9 and try one of the toon cameras on it. (I didn't like 4.10, so I skipped it, and use the 4.11 beta most of the time. But some aspects of pwToon, ToonyCam Pro and even Sketchy don't seem to work for me in the Beta.)
It's important to be clear about that! Lovely render!
Gonna b hard to get back to the ship!
Been head down in work lately, needed a break to render something.
