Sorry but it might be hard to explain without discussing politics which is taboo here

Other than that another name here for California is (amongst others) LaLa Land as we often wonder what fantasy world some of them live in

@FSMCDesigns, Your deer renders are amazing; The lamh preset makes it look so real!

I used the buck in my latest render. (I couldn't wait for HW to come out with the doe, so I got creative with dForms…!)

My guess is Howie's Harpwood Trail, with the Mallard Pond extension, rendered with a short focal length camera to get the panoramic look.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

    TAKE THE SHOT!

Just playing around with an old saved scene. Since I took a chance on using DIM for the first time with the new install and HD, it installed the files in a different location that the default library, so all my old saved scene files don't load completely. So now it's scene file grab bag each time I load one, basically starting over each time, but it's not to bad.

@alexhcowley's guess is spot on, Michael. It's The Harpwood Trail - Mallard Pond set.

@FSMCDesigns, I had to remove the grass in the front of the image, though. Too low poly for a close up. To do that, I created a Selection Set on the ground object, selecting a rectangle that included polys in the camera frame, but not right in front of the camera, and then ran Ultrascatter on grass instances. Then I used a grass object from Hemlock Folly for the area in front of the camera and applied SubD, level 2. That one object is the only part of the environment that isn't part of the Mallard Pond set. I could have used the the same ground Selection Set to limit the instances that weren't in the camera frame, but I didn't want to impact the lighting. However, it would be easy to do, if you want to cut down on the resources needed to render a scene with one of the Howie Farkes sets. I used Ultrascatter, but I assume either version would work.

    ETA: Thank you. blush

No big deal, you would not be the first to do that.

As a Californian, I don’t get this joke either... I find it rather insulting.

This is a test render where I turned up the Render Quality to 8 just to see.
This also has dForce applied to the hair and dress. (The hair is just enough for it to be moved by her hand and hat)
