  • Ouch, Wendy - I've spent quite a lot of time in South Texas and even I think that 43 celsius is hot.  Try to stay hydrated!  And in the shade, of course.  I had a whole bunch of cassette tapes melt in the back of my car once.

think I am going to melt

They just showed 'Thunderbirds' and are about to show "Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons" on Comet TV.  I am in puppet model heaven.

Somehow this remonds me of the movie "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" (2004).  A meager 6.1 at IMDB, but the late, great Roger Ebert gives it four stars (out of four).  "Before I got into serious science fiction, I went through a period when my fantasies were fed by a now-forgotten series of books about Tom Corbett, Space Cadet. There was a gee-whiz vigor to those adventures, a naive faith in science and pluck, evoking a world in which evil existed primarily as an opportunity for Tom to have fun vanquishing it. 'Sky Captain' has that kind of innocence ... many of 'Sky Captain's' best qualities are more cinematic than dramatic; I responded to the texture and surfaces and very feel of the images, and felt some of the same quickening I remember from the cover of a new Tom Corbett book."

playing with Mandelbulber 3D again, can make nice spherical 360 backgrounds for Carrara as well as export very blocky incredibly highpoly versions of the 3D fractals

I wonder if Carrara formulas can be used to create mandelbulbs

    well just copy pasting failed

I have no maths smarts beyond using trigonometry to calculate heights of trees and buildings and such using Pythagorus's 'triangle

I did learn calculus many years ago but promply forgot it

another formula but doubt I will have any more luck, Carrara does not recognise all the terms

Load up some of the samples from here and check the syntax. Maybe it is a simple thing like ; at every row or extra space bars here and there. http://gianp.free.fr/carrara/indexcarrara.html
