After watching the Amazon Tick show, I was inspired to take a stab at his costume.  Probably one of the quickest comic characters I have done so far.  I would've liked to figure out a way to do the white eyes for the mask to make it more like the classic costume, but no such luck.

This.... this made me happy. :) You can just turn the eye matirals all white, BTW, but then you have the color around the eyes to deal with. Where did you get the antennae?

Wow, really super!  I love how your colors pop on the camo clothing.

I need help with 2nd skins.  When I apply 2nd skin textures, they are slightly off in color.  For example when I applied the 2nd skin for Baroness, the outfit was dark brown.  I adjusted some settings to make it more black, but it never got there.  I had to do a lotr of Post work to get it to work.  The maker of the 2nd skin uses Poser, so he couldn't help me.  Does anyone know how to fix this in Daz?  Is there a surface setting under skins that I need to change?

Yeah, I already thought about coloring the face texture around the eyes and then loading up an eye preset to turn them white, but I have seen this done before and it doesn't look all that great up close.  Just looks like eyes painted white.  So it would be much better if there was a way to augment Smay's SuperHero Mask prop itself to have actual eye material zones and morphs for shape.  If someone could do that I would buy it instantly.  Think of all the characters that could use it!

You could create a geoshell and hide everything but the eye surface, then adjust the offset to get the look you are going for.

I am not familiar with Geoshell.  Will have to look this up and see how it works.

    Here ya go, Geminii23.

Click on the object you want to make a GeoShell on. Go to the menu under Create and then click on New Geometry Shell.

You can name it something if you like. This is helpful if you are making multlple ones. Click Accept in the window when ready.

In the Scene Tab you will have a new item parented to the item you selected.

In the Surfaces Tab, it has the same material zones as the item you picked.

This is really handy for putting dirt or paint or something else ONTO your model in conjunction with opacity maps or for skintight outfits that get all the detail of the body with no poke through, or like Timbales wisely suggested, playing with eyeball textures and having fun. :)

This started as a single render then got a little out of control. Setting is Tin Pan alley from Stonemason. Spider-man by Joe Quick and Sturkwurk. Mary Jane is kitbashed. Ms. Marvel by Terry McG. Black Cat and Spider Gwen also by Terry. Spider Woman texture by 3wComics and No Face mask by Joe Quick. Mockingbird texture by pgandara with boots and belt by Terry. All are done with V4 and rendered in Carrara.

Nice!   Reminds me of just how many female kitbash characters I still need to make to fill up my roster ... as I now post another male character.  LOL

Thanks for sending this.  I can't try it out yet cause I have been running a pose converter which has seized control over DAZ and my computer for two days straight now. I mistakenly thought it would be a good idea to upconvert all my V4 poses for later gen compatibility.   OMG this is taking forever and I am on a 8-core Mac Pro with 64Gb ram.

So with this Geoshell, I am not understanding how one would achieve the actual eyes on something like Smay's SHS Mask.  Does this just allow for a second layer of skin or something?

Exactly. You can also do multiple layers as one of the parameters offsets the distance the shell is from the model. And you can do it with eyes too. :)

The Man Of Steel is 80 years old this week... he premiered in Action Comics on April 18th, 1938.

We have some suitable fan art already in this thread, but if you were looking for an excuse for more fan art...
