Still Comin!!!
Hope I got the cash when it finally arrives! The supersuit is still one of my most favorite Genesis items, but It think we've barely scratched what can be done with it :)
you can try adding a white or grey displacement map to the clothing
But I did mention adding or turning on Smoothing (which is the same thing) Cagnazzo. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.
Never tried using a fully white or gray displacement map to pop out the suit more, that's an interesting idea. Just watched a very informative vid on Vector maps, I really hope that DAZ Studio supports them in the near future: http://youtu.be/2kb3uC1nY7Q
Huge props and thanks to equinoxx5, joequick and Nadino for sharing these resources :-) Nightwing and Oracle face shapes by me :-P
Have been wanting to do a Nightwing render for ages and after mulling it over realized that Nightwing + Oracle = Dark Knight

you hit the nail on the head with that statement.... there is soooo much more that can and is being done and my bundles will add a lot of cool designs and functionality to your supersuit closet.
I wish i could preview them for you... but the impact will be greater If it all is revealed at once. Its going to be like a whole new product.
See now you're just teasing! Haha!
Seriously, can't wait to get my hands on the updates. I've been trying my hand at doing other stuff with it (like 90's Extreme designs), but I'm not completely satisfied with the results yet. I'd love for the new stuff to include spikes and ginormous shoulder pads... as well as morphs for weaponizing the suit without the need for props. The tutorials you provided in youtube were a big help in that regard.
Wed would have been Christopher Reeve's 61st B-day...I have been working on this likeness for a while now and though the lighting is not right....I thought I would show this :
Morphs by WERTZ, Uzilite, and a couple of reeve morphs i made'
costume by joequick valandar
Hair by uzilite
suit text made using samples of Reeve's suit
i'm working on a freebie genesis style "universal brain squid" figure that will morph into various iterations of the utroms/krang/kraang
I've got the fbm's and most of the expression morphs done, i'm starting to work on textures
Awesome work Joe, thank you!
kickass :)
Love how you got the Big Blue vibe :)
The lighting and expression do make him look a little severe, though; maybe it's the eyebrows ;-)
It's a great likeness and really takes me back, Joe :cheese: Thank you so much for all that you do :)
Glad to see my humble contribution coming in handy for you. That's a great image! I'll admit I'm a tad confused about why Oracle seems to be fondling Nightwing's baton*... but still, fantastic job!
*Yes, I'm aware of exactly how that sounds... but frankly, it's the most innocent phrasing I can come up with...
Thank you so much, equinoxx5; I couldn't have done it without you :)
To answer your question (which was circumspect all things considered; if you had used their nicknames it would have been "why Babs seems to be fondling Di-- bwahahahahahahahahaha  %-P )
My answer, and I do have one, is that [strike]she's not fondling it but telling him to put it away[/strike] it's meant to capture a moment when Nightwing reacts impulsively to an intrusion and Oracle would rather hear what the intruder has to say.
But the pose is probably also a Freudian slip; I was inspired by the Handicapped? Not! thread. And while Oracle came to mind as a subject, I did want to focus on an area the able-bodied don't seem to associate with the differently abled: sexuality. While this is the first of the series it wasn't the first, nor even the second, to be composed and thsoe works probably influenced my subconscious. I don't know if that makes sense. :P
Give it an "All tentacles and one big eyeball" morph, and we can use it for a kaled mutant, or an organic Dalek out of his travel machine.
Well, when you explain it that way... ;-)
Posted this on another thread, so I thought I'd do it here, too. A page from the second issue of Servant.
Here's a link to the forum archive :)
And because links can and do get borked, here's CD_2012's tutorial:
1. A Painting/Graphics Program
*PhotoBrush5 (I use this one and highly recommend it!)
*PhotoShop
*MS PhotoDraw (I use this one and highly recommend it!)
*Any one you choose to use.
2. The Skin Texture (Head, Body, Limbs, etc) of V4.
Located @ C:\DAZ\Studio\content\Runtime\textures\DAZ\Characters\MilWom\V4
3. Images of Mystique (Face, Body, Limbs)
Google "Mystique" in Google Images
First...load V4's "Face" into your Painting Program. (have the image of Mystiques face open on your desktop as a reference). Select the Brush and begin to add the "bumps" to V4's face. Just do this for one side of her face. You can then copy and paste what you have added and flip it to use on the other side of V4's face. This way you will have a symmetrical balance. Then repeat process for Torso, Limbs, etc.
Invert Save the images. Open DAZ Studio, Load V4, in the Surfaces Tab (Diffuse), remove the .jpg image (if there is one, set the color to Blue 0-64-128. The remove the Bump Map, then add your "Mystique Texture" to the Displacement. Set it at Strength 20%, Minimum -0.39%, Maximum 0.99%. (you can experiment with the Displacement strength, Min and Max).
I hope this helps you guys and gals who want their own Mystique Texture (Displacement Map)!
Hope I got the cash when it finally arrives! The supersuit is still one of my most favorite Genesis items, but It think we've barely scratched what can be done with it :)

Man the suspense is killing me. Please release your bundles soon! Seriously!
This is incredibly cool.
Textured Krang, Kraang and Utrom
Might as well do a Kang and Kodos, Joe. You'd only have to do one, as they are identical. :)
Has anybody done a chest harness like the one Hawkman wears? I've looked and cant seem to find anything.

Threw this together last night.. Calling yourself a superhero doesn't make you super..
http://www.daz3d.com/godspeed (i used this one in my hawkman)

And this is what happens when I peruse the internet with a migraine coming on... Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain..
Thanks guys. I had forgotten I had the Ad Gladio. I was looking for something to pull off a John Carter, Warlord of Mars look...

Hey, I have a quick general question:
When purchasing products around a superhero theme, do you prefer products made for Genesis or for M4/V4?
I have a few ideas for possible projects but I'd like to gear them towards the figure set that most people would use. Right now, I'm considering a large set of poses. Would poses be preferable for Genesis or for M4/V4?
Just looking for some thoughts and feedback...
Thanks.
I'm currently using M4/V4. Not ready to jump to Genesis just yet...
