I guess for someone who does lots of renders and needs lots of different figures as background fillers it makes sense

Yeah, until you get some mileage out of those daz figures and you don't want to "waste" a really great character on a movie extra - or you find that you keep gravitating towards the same look.
I find I have a range of things I like and sometimes it's really narrow and I keep making or doing the same things over and over again. I mean how many "pretty" characters did you buy before you went, man I need someone - not so perfect and need a more distinct look...and that's when all the far-end characters make sense to add. Maybe not at first.
And random is random....gets you to make something you wouldn't make- normally.
I like to say you can't think of something you haven't thought of. That's when an outside influence is a good thing.
I guess ultimately I'm not here for the Big Sale Discounts. I'm here for the cool products? If price is my priority there's definitely other places to look (sometimes). But a lot of what I get here I can't get anywhere else. *shrug* All the Big Sales really mean is 'an extra 10% off that Must Have item' and anything else is.... well.... bonus.
But I know a lot of people seem to get pretty cranky about the sales. It's honestly hardest to watch with the PC+ sale because Jack is such a presence here.
I did get the impression one Big Sale that they adjusted it after lackluster launch performance. So, you know, possibly if people really aren't being hooked in, you might see improvements.

I thought the bottles were rather useful scene dressing and bought them, since I didn't want the bundle.
Yeah, they'll pretty up a nightstand, dresser, or vanity. A really lovely set, imo! :)
Not only looked ... it was a sale and I too, have already picked through it and made the purchases I would want.
Yeah, and I actually rather pay the $6 for it, than spend $26 on another pretty girl, just to get it for free. But when I got started I wanted every character, now I'm like "does this character have something unique that adds to the gene-pool?"
Honestly I have an (unfulfilled) addiction to perfume bottles. They trigger my AUGH MUST OWN in me. Having them in virtual format will help me resist indulging and cluttering up space in the real world.

Agree with this completely. The perfume bottles are very nicely modelled - and their stand alone price is reasonable. I already have some old-timey perfume bottles for dressing up vanities (these bottles also work well for wizards desks and tables, when placed strategically or by hiding certain material zones, BTW...)

Sigh... Fluidos is Windows only. Eh, at least I got my PC set back up, so it’s not a lost sale per se, but mmmmmgh.
On the bright side, there’s been some good deals and items, so that’s a huge plus.

Doesn't seem to trigger the 70% off ANY single item
I cant seem to put anything in my basket from the fast grab sale. The add to cart button simply is unresponsive. Is DAZ trying to tell me something? :D
It says "Choose 1". So you have to choose 1 (and only 1) of the vehicles to get the 70% off. That is, you can only have one in your cart and you have more than one.
The 70% is for one item only - if you have more than one in the cart it will probably confuse the code. I just tried with a single item from the category and the discount applied.
You mean https://www.daz3d.com/fast-grab-3d-models/# ? The buttons, on the category page or the product page, seem to work for me. Do you have the banner for an on-site message at the top of the screen? If so try closing it.

Please open a Technical Support ticket on the issue, it's obviously undesirable for users and Daz.
OH NO!. Now I have to choose between the extra 10% discount for buying two new releases.... one for 40% or two for 50% off.

the extra 70% on ONE item- at a time. I could have split my NEW RELEASE order and gotten TWO items at the 70% from that list.

@griffinavid You can rebuy the needed items only, add a vehicle, then cancel/refund those items from the first order. Support will help with that.
Yeah, very wise, but the folks at Daz-land have enough to worry about than me and my miserly ways. lol
I just grabbed my two NEW releases and 1 vehicle. Since there will always be another sale, this will get sorted out along the way.
What's nice is that, over time, EVERYTHING becomes 'older items'. lol
Aside from the Fluidos water-piece, I'm really waiting for this PA sale to kick.
