The link to Sade's store in today's promo is a 404 error.

Hmmm, I wonder if it is a glitch or if the store has been removed. Trying to get there by clicking the name in the regular list of vendors also produces a 404 error.

Edit: Store is still here: https://www.daz3d.com/shop/#filter_vendor=sade&filtered=1 Typing the name in the vendors at the left of the regular full store page will bring it up.

But the Sade store seems only to be on 40% sale not 60%?

It looks like the links have been fixed; BUT the store still is not showing the full 60% off.

Glitches are a way of life in this store, so much that they're rarely a surprise.

Yeah. I wonder when the next one is gonna be.

Now they got everything down to 50%. They are getting faster. Can't stick around until they get it right, tho.

Yeah thanks to the genius comment above I just dropped the basket with 80+ items that I had on the wishlist. Sometimes silence is virtue. Well some money saved, the sale is not interesting anymore.

Aww, everything is down to 66% off in the Big Bang sale, instead of the percentages that are mentioned on the sale page (70%, 80%).

    EDIT
Well darn. When I was on my phone this morning, the G2 items were discounted down to 90%. Now it's 79% (Including 30% pc discount). I wish I had shopped earlier XD

Okay, okay, next time, I'll keep quiet. But like Novica said, you shouldn't have to wait too long for the next one. And since you never know how long they last, it's a good practice to put maybe 10 items in the cart, get away with it and come back for more if time allows.

  • Weee, that was fun!  I split it into two purchaces, because I didn't want to chance missing things.  Got both at the glitch prices.

Missed it, but good to know it is okay to take advantage of glitches when they occur - I had thought they would try and reverse the transaction.

Well, that is certainly true now that the sales have been fixed

Yup, I noticed it too. I saw items like $0.49 that went up to $.070. Glitch or no glitch....

Honestly?  They should implement those "glitch" prices for Gen4, Genesis and Genesis 2 items.  (I can see excluding newer figures.) I had MANY old items (over $100 worth) in my cart before the glitch went away. And when it went away, I dumped the my whole cart -- with absolutely no intention of picking those items up again at the current prices, not now, nor in the future. I shouldn't be complaining -- Lord knows, I don't need any more content -- and the discounts are very good. But there is simply no way I will ever buy those ancient things at the prices they're still asking, even though they are undeniably heavily discounted.  I guess, from my perspective, DAZ just lost $100+ of sales that will never happen unless prices drop to the levels they were at.  I know PAs make a living on their back catalogs, but I think PAs sell their products to DAZ when they become DAZ originals, and therefore the PA is out of the equation anyway.  As for DAZ, they wouldn't lose money (from me, at least) when placing those very ancient items on rock-bottom sale -- they'd profit, because I'll never buy them at the prices they're currently at. I would, however, have purchased at the "glitch" price. And I can't be the only one who feels this way about those products.  They are years old, and since they're DAZ originals, they're on sale every other minute.  They're also almost universally NOT Iray compatible and most have low-res textures that don't hold up well with close-up rendering.  I can use the items, but only with a lot of TLC getting them to properly fit on my newer figures and updating textures and shaders for Iray.  I've had many opportunities (with my PC discount) to buy those things on sale for 72-78% off, and I've passed on them -- many, many times.  I'm a sucker for a bargain, though, so a rock-bottom sale will get me opening my wallet.  Any money going to DAZ from these sales might be miniscule, but if the discount is deep enough, it will be money that I will never otherwise spend because this age-old content will otherwise never wind up in my cart.

    Just my 2 cents.

no new items will take an extra 10% off either

  • NovicaNovica Posts: 23,925

@karibou   It is puzzling, isn't it. I think they keep the generation 4 items at that price for a marketing strategy (Look! See how much they are discounted!) and to have for fillers in the annual, recurring sales (like at Christmas, etc)

The new items are excluded.  You need a new item in the cart to receive the discount on the non-new items.

but it makes no difference if I add a new item of any sort, newest, still new whatever no extra 10% off the other stuff from the sale

see below with the very newest item

Putting a new item in the cart doesn't seem to be making the non new items 10% cheaper

My non new items are from the 80% off section, for example - https://www.daz3d.com/bats-casual-e-179

I tested it and also didn't got the extra 10% off with a new item above $1. Tried both new PC and non-PC items.

I felt so guilty I never used the stuff I got free one glitch and made sure I bought plenty ever since, DAZ deals says my total over $18 000 but I still feel too guilty, I have issues

something's weird - or maybe interesting - and i dunno if it's the daz-deals plugin per se or if it's interfering with today's sale (60% on daz originals, specifically).

Lee 7, being a daz original, shows at 60%, as expected - $17.98 instead of $44.95. nothing special here...
BUT, when i look at the small daz deals diagram showing the price changes along the month/year, today it's supposed to have dropped drown to 6.29! and i tried the short and the long time frame, same.

anyone caring to explain why there's a difference, or what i have to do to get my Lee (and Elijah!) for 6.29?

It did drop to that price. That is now over, you missed it, the price is now higher again. See the posts above.

aah i did have a look at those posts, but couldn't figure what this glitch actually was.. and why oh why did i miss this on Lee 7 that i wanted for months, groan... early bird 'n all that, right crying

EDIT: oh well, simple: i put both Elijah & Lee 7 back from my cart into my wishlist. instead of 2x bargain sale for total $12.60 for daz, i spend $0 on those items ~ 4 ice creams for me ^^

Ah, that explains why every price on my wishlist alert from Ati is completely wrong.

Also, the 10% for a new item in the cart is not working for me either.

Soooo, if I spill the beans, some people will be sore; if I don't spill the beans, I will seem a bit unsporting. Mmm. Does Daz issue coupons to whistleblowers? It could work wonders on my guilt.
